I didn't come here to play Peek-a-boo!

Mirshko Betna

Daughter of Arrbi and Anija

For now, Mirshko kept her silence as she listened to them speak. Even so, she felt Mom's concern for her clearly. She took a deep breath to steady herself as they spoke. The concern rippling off her mother was clear to her, even at this distance. And she felt a lump rise in her throat. It was strange really. She'd never quite taken stock of what all had changed for her during the time she'd been gone. But from her mother's own subtle reactions - and those of Xander himself, it was clear she'd changed quite a bit in the physical sense. And in a different way than she had during her time with the pirates.

And, she wasn't at all sure she liked the direction those changes were taking her. Though she couldn't exactly put a finger on the reason why that was. Just that she felt different. A frown persisted for a moment before she returned her attention to the conversation. Something about the mood had changed. Mirshko felt her eyes narrow slightly as she felt the shit. And Mom's gaze was on her again. "I be home soon, Mom. As soon as I can."

After I spoke my fill, I could hear the young lady speak to her mother about returning home. Either that was meant to comfort one, the other, or both of them, I couldn't tell. But I would make sure that she would return home after our initial training. In all honesty, I had no clue how long that would take. And after that, I would let Young Betna make her own decisions from there. If she wanted to then go out on her own, train some more, or even completely leave, I would support her. Considering that I had a recent problem with my own son doing the same, I felt like I owed it not just to her, but to him as well to let them have their space.

Nodding my head, I then turned back to Anija,

"Is there anything you would like to speak about?"
