Now was the time to play. Braze had wanted to practice his forms starting from the beginning and moving up, but this had quickly escalated into a fight where they were emboldening their moves with force. Jonyna had seen to that. With only the use of one arm, he was at an extreme physical disadvantage when it came to his blade versus her two. But then there was the added ploy of that third near-invisible blade after he successfully caught one of her original weapons. Backup weapons, on top of utilizing the force, made this a very different sort of practice. If Jonyna wanted to simulate a more real fight, then Braze would have to start treating it more like a real fight. But that didn't mean it had to be any less fun.
The arrogant little pup that he was wanted to bark out a retort at her, but that wouldn't serve him here, and he recognized that. He quelled the spark before it had a chance to grow into a heated exchange. After all, dogs usually hunted cats, did they not?
It was time to turn the tides. It was time to chase this kitty up a tree!
With a slow, heavy focusing breath, Braze fell into his flow state of mind, engaging in a sort of meditative trance, one he practiced often when performing Faalo's Cadences. There was a sudden and sure shift in the wind in the surrounding area. Dust and leaves kicked up all around, swirling in vortex-powered winds that swayed and rocked the treetops. Pebbles and twigs kicked up and started taking flight.
Then a sudden snapping sound as a large tree was abruptly uprooted, followed by several more in rapid succession as the first one started to fall towards Jonyna's position. Yet, the trees and rough winds decidedly kept the onlookers out of harm's way. This was all very controlled, even as the stones, twigs, and pebbles that were flying around started to become projectiles shot towards her general direction en masse from all sorts of directions. His force presence flooded the area instead of just the two places, and active dirt and dust were being pushed upon and added to the air, making it much harder to see. The winds and snapping trees made it harder to hear what was going on.
He was trying to overwhelm his opponent and apply what he knew in demonstrating the elements of surprise and deception. His focus on environmental manipulation, distraction, and overwhelming force created a situation where his opponent was likely unable to effectively respond. He very much wanted to, and was creating a situation where Jonyna is forced to deal with numerous threats simultaneously.
He was perhaps looking for an opportunity to engage her directly amidst this upheaval—but from where? That truly was the question now, wasn't it? Could Jonyna think and reason amidst this overwhelming assault and display of power? How well did she know her 'enemy' ? Would he be the type to attack from behind? Would he cower and hide from afar and try to outlast her? Or would he attack full frontal? Strategy was not lost on Braze, and he needed to employ this overwhelming display to enact his next move... but where would it be?
