I just need you now

hey, yeah....once we are a hour away I'll have brigh get some food going should see this girl just took to cooking like that

A lot did happen, but right now star was looking to move forward to a brighter better future of the world. Sighing she helped her husband up and winced a litte... damn back pain

and once we get up we are cleaning that beard up...it...suits you I like it

Darben Skirae held onto her hand best he could as she lifted him up. Furrowing his brows toward the wincing in her expression. His current thoughts of how great his daughters cooking must be were pushed to the sideline for me, as he opened his mouth to ask about it. But instead, the words that came out had to do with his new facial look.

"Uh, can we get rid of it? It tickles, it's a bit...long. And untidy." He gave a nervous chuckle at that. Before long, he had to let go as he got to packing up all the items he had with him. Darben packed at least three suitcases. "The rest of the merchandise I might just...leave it here. Free helpings I guess?"

oh I suppose we can get that off your face

She said gently grabbing the beard and wiggled it gently before chuckling to help get her husband packed up. Three suitcases later she looked about to everything left behind and took a deep breath looking over everything

well, if I've learned from you gotta take a lose sometimes for...better ventures

Darben glared suddenly as she grabbed at the beard. He almost wanted to say 'Not the beard!', but that seemed to suit a more different situation such as falling. He then got up what he could, carrying some things not in his suitcases but rather over his shoulder, then looked to Stardust. "Well, that is how I got to you. Losses after losses. Was a bet against the galaxy, and one I won" he said with a grin.

With that being said and a peck to her cheek, he started off to move from the stall. It was in the past now.

She smirked when he glared, unable to contain a giggle before grabbing a few more items for him that looked of value and importance before she started off beside him and looked over stopping when he spoke and kissed her cheek allowing him to get forward a bit then chuckled

me and you both darben...

She said and followed him forward, to where? The future was uncertain, home could change at any given day, she just knew it would be with her family

Darben Skirae continued forth.....then he realized something. Sure, he was heading away from his stall. But he forgot one minor, teeny tiny detail. He paused in his walking, and turned to face Stardust once more. Having that nervous look about him. He realized, he had no idea where he was actually going, where Stardust had brought her ship down.

"Uh...which hangar?" He asked, uncertain of where exactly he was meant to be going. Darben was like that, a lot. "Maybe you should lead. Might be better off that way, yes?" He waited, before Darben began onto a conversation to pass time. "So...what are you up to these days, then? Besides what you mentioned before."

She watched him, smiling softly...such a confident man when he wanted to be. Laughing as he realized he wa getting ahead of himself she walked forward and took his hand nodding as she started slowly leading the way down the crowd path

well...I suppose trying to make things right... see who from the clan made it out...I've been bring brigh around the jedi temples as often as I can let her see the side of the force I've kept from her...seemed like a good idea to shes...

Stardust drowned, she was more mature than most kids her age..all because of what she had to go through and star felt she was to blame

shes enjoying it

Darben Skirae gave off a nervous short laugh to her own laughter, and allowed her to take his hand to lead him on through the crowded path ahead. Some droids stood in their path now and then, as well as organic life. One seemed to be watching with an odd look about them, it put him off. Many were rather off putting in this area, some dangerous and upsetting folk here. To distract himself, he listened to Stardust. Brigh was making a name for herself, it seemed.

"That is good. She is experienced, as you are, that is for certain. Perhaps there is more to her than meets the eye, do you think?" Darben asked to her, as he did not understand the force as much as his wife did. "Let's hurry along now, yes?"

Unfortunately stardust could feel her husband's uneasiness, moving closer to him her eyes scanned the area as they kept walking as she let a breath out frowning then looked to him as she nodded and began walking faster

definitely, I think she might be lot stronger then me

Darben could hide no surprise to that remark. Stronger, than her? At the age Brigh was currently at? Then he dared to even grin, despite the uneasy feelings of being watched. "Stronger? Than you? I find that hard to believe, with all the tales surrounding you" he said with that grin. He noticed how she got closer, and it calmed his nerves at the very least. Darben was most thankful for that. Really much glad for it, in fact.

"So, which ship did you bring here this time?" Darben asked to her, curious which they would be taking on this trip away from here. "Your fighter?"

Stardust laughed, patting his back as she kept her eyes on the move and one hand gripping her saber. Looking to him she smirked

well, she has the potential should I say, at her age i didnt know jack about the force besides feeling around for people. She knows how to lift and move objects, use a saber, and well unfortunately force scream oh and pyrokinesis like I can

She then laughed and looked to him

I think our family line might turn out to be fire benders!

Looking to the ships she pointed hers out, the old thunder star a modified xwing suited for her attack style

I can fit ya in the sled behind me, might be little cramped

Darben listened on, it was a welcome distraction from the crowd around. This discussion brought new light to his eyes, that things could get better despite all that happened before. Already their daughter was growing to be powerful. Perhaps a fighter, like her mother. That he could be proud of...yet he was always afraid of it as well. All the battles he had seen Stardust fight through, or heard of. All her scars. Not even all of her body was hers, some of it mechanical. It scared him that Brigh may turn out the same...

He laughed, it somewhat lifted his nerves a bit. They arrived to the fighter, and after packing up his suitcases in the small storage that it had, Darben climbed in. "Let's hope not too cramped."

Stardust looked down at him, she knew that ever worry he had and did all she could to deter their daughter from the same horrors she had faced in war...yet war seemed to follow everywhere. Helping her husband load everything she did pre flight checks before hoping in the cockpit rather tight yet not overly so

well not as bad, guess it helps I'm not all armored up yeah? Alright let's get home

Closing the canopy she started the engines and slowly lifted up the ship angling out and pushed the engines to full speed out into the black of space

home we head, once we are a half system away I'll send a message to brigh

Darben Skirae sighed quietly once he was sat down in the cockpit of the fighter, it was a rather tight fit yet he still managed to make himself comfortable within the fighter. Even if he had to put his arms on her shoulders to be comfortable. Darben looked out the windowed hatch of the fighter, and out to the market. A place he was leaving, and good riddance to be sure. "It does help...it does" he murmured quietly, as the lift off sequence engaged.

Soon, the fighter was away from the station. He looked back for a moment, till it was gone in the dark of space. "All right...have you heard from Renla? She kept in contact for a while but she's been...quiet on her travels." He could not help but be worried about her.

sadly I havent...I'm sure shes ok however, if I know anything shes quite brave. Been through so much in her life already...I imagine it would take a lot to take that girl down hehe shes taken after you

Stardust said worh a proud smile, typing on the navcomputer she set a course for zeltros, stars elongated then rushed passed them as they entered hyperspace

Cynthia's...mia...I've not heard from her at all and I got the clan looking to me for guidance and safety

Darben nodded along, he was sure that she was okay as well, wherever it was she was exploring. At some point, Darben and Stardust would find out where Renla had gone in the galaxy. Soon he found one of his hands tapping along at the side of the ship. Rhythmic tapping, as it was when he got nervous and things got quiet.

"You are still with the clan...and things are not going well...what happened exactly?" Darben asked to her. Something happened. Something big, to make her seem this way about it all.

She swallowed, not many times had she felt fear, but this same event happening over and over and over again sent chills throughout her body

the sith attacked mandalore, I heard about their entrance into the sector and took renla and abandoned my post as battlemaster to save her. I left solus to fight for themselves....I left mandalore...like i did commenor with you and brigh so many years ago...

The event still haunted her to this very day and witnessing it again shook her to the core. Snifflikg she let go of the controls

it happened again!

Darben Skirae knew right away, as soon as he saw that swallow. Something worse than he had originally thought...he knew that an attack had happened. Even heard through the holonet. But did he know how bad? No, he didn't. He didn't truly know the effect it had on her...not until he saw it. Finally he understood just how bad it had been, seeing her upset over the hologram. And he sighed while listening, and waited for her to be done.

"You...Stardust. You could do nothing more, Star. If you did not go, you would have lost your life...and you had to save Brigh. Too much happened. Your family..." he murmured to her. Darben reached a hand to her shoulder, despite how overly cramped it was for the two of them. "Our life and blood..."

she means more to me then anything ever, and in blindness to protect all of you from the Sith I didnt see the knife awaiting to be stabbed into my back...

She said quietly, feeling his hand as she sighed and closed her eyes going quiet for a few minutes before she took a breath

I'll do anything to protect you three, but now I know what must be done to protect everyone...I must fight the Sith with the jedi not as a outlier

Darben Skirae listened, and nodded along, Brigh meant a lot to the both of them. As did Renla. They would find her, somewhere, and ensure that she was safe. Until then, it was the two of them in this ship. Betrayal, it was not something he ever saw, it was hard to see. And with a sigh, he accepted that. He always had accepted that. "Betrayal isn't plain to the eye. Even those closest to you could be your undoing...I've learned that" he whispered quietly. Yet Stardust, he trusted.

There was a gentle smile. "How about right now, you don't fight...and get us home?" Darben suggested, with the gentle warm smile still upon his face. Even a chuckle.
