I Know You Warned Me, But.....

Kay-Larr

After borrowing a ship and crew from her adopted brother, Kay set out to Atrisia. She didn't know how much @Lord Mythos paid attention to the holo-news, but she had wanted to tell him about her recent setback herself.

She knew which way to go, which passcodes to use to gain her access to the Sith planet. Even though she was no longer in politics, the whole region wasn't entirely safe for her. But thankfully her ally and friend ruled the area, so she wasn't in danger of being taken into custody or killed.

After the ship landed a kilometre from the palace, she walked the rest of the way on foot. Fortunately her brother had not assigned her bodyguards as of yet. For now she just had Mrs. Nesbitt, her KI series astromech droid rolling along beside her. The droid gave an almost ominous whistle followed by some beeps. "It's okay...We're safe here. Trust me. Mythos wouldn't want anyone here to hurt us." She gave her droid a reassuring smile as they continued on their way.

It came as no surprise that they were checked over by security once they approached the Palace. They had seen Kay visit a few times, though this was the first time that she had a droid along withher. Mrs. Nesbitt was checked over and passed, given that she had no weapons of the sort. They were soon led to the Throne room. Strangely enough, Mythos wasn't there....

Nomkneer was very busy after what happened to Mythos and being in charge of Atrisia was big work as the same he took a break from it all so that he could relieve his stress. He sat in the throne as he waited for some information that was going to be made to cover up for Mythos' dissapearence. Now the kaleesh will be the king of Atrisia to lead the planet with the same gracefulness and might. Preparations were being made as the last words of Mythos were for the general of Atrisia to have the planet.

While thinking about future decisions and the situation of the former king. A young lady came close to him and Nomkneer has seen her before being the general of Atrisia but he has never talked to her. He kept a serious face and sat down on the throne waiting for her to come in and speak her mind.

Kay was rather shocked to see [member="Nomkneer"] sitting on Mythos' throne. Did Nomkneer defeat him in battle? Was she no longer going to be safe here? She placed a hand on top of Mrs. Nesbitt's head as she focused on her Force signature, shrinking it down to that of a small tree nut, before stepping inside the room and towards the throne, bowing her head. She had seen him before, on her first visit, though she wasn't sure who he was exactly and whether or not he could be trusted. She couldn't hide the puzzled look on her face when she addressed him. "I am Kay,M'Lord, a friend of Lord Mythos. You are seated on his throne. Where is he, if I may ask?" Quite a few women had entered this palace on many other occasions, yet Kay always felt herself to be different. She never succumbed to his charms, never slept with him. The most that he did was kiss her cheek. Other than that they would argue about politics and philosophy, with him sometimes trying to get her to learn Force lightning or other dark tricks. But he would always be rebuffed.

Nomkneer seated, had seen her a few times before and he knew how Mythos had many known people but most were women. He remained still as she walked inside, asking her question, he listened to her every word and after she finished he raised his hand to signal his reply. Gazing at her, she seemed quite confused as the once general, now king would explain to her if she was worthy. Nomkneer gazes to the left towards Mythos' desk, he looked towards the Nom-Nom bonsai tree and he noticed from red it switched to pink.

"Who do you think you are trying to fool by hiding your presence. Uncloak yourself Jedi, I have seen you before and even though i do not need to answer to you. I will ask, what was your relationship with Mythos and what was your business here? This will decide if i will attack or answer your question and let you be in peace."

He was not fooled easily, the once general now king just wanted to see her true motives. His intentions are not to hurt the friends of Mythos as many have come before searching for him during his absences. What comes out of [member="Lady Kay"]' mouth will be what decides Nomkneers next move.

[member="Nomkneer"] took on the role of king in an almost regal manner in the way he sat and conducted himself. As he looked over to the bonsai tree, so did she. Kay had seen it before in the garden room, but she was unaware of the hows or whys that it changed colour the way that it did. But looking back to Nomkneer she now knew.

Kay dropped her focus as instructed and let her Force signature be felt. She wasn't all powerful by any means, just somewhere along the middle. She clasped her hands in front of her and then spoke, "M'Lord, my relationship with Lord Mythos was just that of friendship. He made a guest room for me and said that I was welcome at any time...I chose to visit right now because I have some news with regards to my position in the Republic. No doubt that he and perhaps even yourself have heard on the holo-news, but I wanted to tell him in person...Is he...on vacation somewhere?"

No doubt that he was probably spending time with at least one of his kids. That man was almost as bad as her adopted brother when it came to that kind of behaviour. At least it was never anything that she would have to worry about, especially now that she had nothing to offer. She was a young spinster, a widow for nearly ten years and respected herself a lot more than to allow her to be some one night stand, lover or mistress. Let others carry the burdens and emptiness of those problems. She had enough on her plate by the way of trouble as it was. Spending her time and money liberating slaves did come at a high cost.

Nomkneer kept sitting as he saw no real threat coming from this confused woman. He knew that she was telling the truth since Mythos always had a soft spot for women and this one is no stranger. He felt a little sad having to remember back but he stood from the throne and spoke a few honest words to the woman.

"Mythos apparently has lost in a battle, I don't know the whereabouts of him and his daughter kida. He just sent a message saying for me to take Atrisia and vanished along with his daughter. If theres anything i know about him is that he doesn't die so easily. I know he must be out there with his daughter on adventures and some day, some day he will come back and he will have to explain to me. Everything!"

He said with anger and sadness as his rival and goal disappeared from existence, now Nomkneer looks to a higher aim. He trains everyday to become even stronger than Mythos so that he could take on the person who defeated him. The kaleesh focused his telekinesis on his lightsabers and he levitated them on a base designed to hold them behind the throne.

"I am not planning to attack as you can see. I dont know more than i can tell you and if it was Mythos' wish, you may come and go as you like as long as you will never threat the planet i protect. We will be in peace. You can stay in your old room, call anyone to fetch you anything, make yourself at home because that's what Mythos would've wanted."

Nomkneer is not a person who is used to snooping on others information. He didn't even ask about the republic business, she is an ally of Mythos and besides previously seeing her she seems to come peacefully so the kaleesh would not break this peace.

"Oh and another thing, im not the king yet but preparations are being made. Why dont you stay along and witness the coronation."

At the news of Mythos disappearing after losing a battle caused her jaw to drop slightly. Was he embarrassed about it? Perhaps his Silver Tongue didn't help him at all. Everyone loses on occasion. It was just up to the individual as to how they handle defeat. You can either let it beat you or empower you to do better.

Kay hadn't planned on staying long. She had expected to tell Mythos her news, hear a couple of his lectures on it, and then slip away in the middle of the night. The lava crystal statue of her likeness that Mythos had made and put in her guest room was a bit uncomfortable to look at. It was a good thing that the glowing statue could be hidden below the floor. But still, just knowing that it was watching her made her feel uneasy. It was bad enough that he usually had guards remain with her at all times for her protection. Yet that was the price she paid for being in enemy territory. It was far better than being locked up.

"That is disheartening to hear of his defeat. Hopefully he will come back in a timely manner and give you the answers that you seek. Thank you for maintaining the peace that Lord Mythos and I have shared, M'Lord. I am no threat to anyone and I always come alone on an indirect route to make it harder to track me by anyone that wishes to do so. I will stay for your coronation in return for your graciousness."

There was always a particular way to speak to rulers. One must always be polite and respectful. She found herself lucky for being allowed to argue with Mythos like she did and get away with it. Other Sith Lords would have killed her for it or worse.

[member="Nomkneer"]

Nomkneer did not care for her being a Jedi, as long as she didn't come to cause any trouble she may walk among the palace and stay. It was a strange day for the kaleesh and having her around calmed him a little for some reason. He walked forward through the middle rug laying out a path out of the room. As he did all he thought about is if he was going to be able to fill the role of him and will he be enough of a leader to be Atrisia' ruler.

"Do as you wish you wont have much security in your room but around the palace you will have an escort for safety. As for the mean time you may do as you wish as tomorrow morning is the day of the ceremony. If you wish to stay and talk while i do my work then its fine as well."

He said as he spoke to a few servants who were in charge of everything, He designed a new mask, a white one which resembled Atrisia' hope. Hope after the loss of their greatest king. It truly is sad, the people still have not the clue of the original story as they believe he was killed. Atrisia has been in a mourn for a week.

Nomkneer knew that he had to be alive, as they say 'evil never dies'.

She was quite used to the escorts by now. At least on this world. Elsewhere was a different story. For a moment she wasn't quite sure of what to do. Go to her guest room? Go to the gardens? Or stay here and talk? [member="Nomkneer"] seemed quite troubled, yet what new ruler wasn't? He was sad, worried and something else that she couldn't put her finger on. But maybe she was just imagining it.

Kay turned to face him as he walked past. "I wouldn't want to get in the way, but if you need any help, I could at least try. Or if you need someone to vent to, I can listen as well." She was quite used to being a shoulder to cry on, or a person to vent to. And it never bothered her, just so long as it helped.

Nomkneer walked by as workers came in delivering news about the preparations and other types of information about Atrisia, as he was going through he answered to them and as he walked by he gazed at her inspecting if she would be any strong as an opponent in the first place. He is an acolyte but a very skilled one at that. He didn't mind having a Jedi in his presence, within Atrisia he is the new king more than just an acolyte of the sith and meanwhile she is a common enemy, the kaleesh didn't feel like fighting after loosing someone close. Nomkneer was always sentimental with brothers of war.

"You can stay around, do not worry you'll have just one person around you so don't feel trapped. If i were to attack i would've done it already but that twit Mythos rubbed some of his honor on me and at some point my life was spared by two jedi. It is wrong for me to just attack."

He stated with the fact that he knew the responsibility that came from being a king and sometimes acting like a behemoth will cause more bad than good. Nomkneer observed her and he has a keen mind for simple stuff, he doesn't open up or talk to anyone but this time even in his conversations he has to mention his friend from time to time. He cant avoid it.

[member="Lady Kay"] just in case you haven't seen it.

Kay watched him as he worked. This whole situation was, well very odd. Yet while [member="Nomkneer"] was working with others nearby, she didn't want to question him on it. Some things were better spoken of in private.

She bowed her head and gave him a small smile as he spoke of not attacking her. It was reassuring. "Thank you, M'Lord. I never go anywhere with hostile intent. I'm a peacemaker, not a warrior. Lord Mythos is an honourable man in some respect, much like my late husband was. If some of that has rubbed off on you, it's not something to be ashamed of. If anything, I'm grateful for it. I can protect myself, but not entirely. Lord Mythos hated that about me and had insisted on me learning to attack others so that he would worry less about my safety. But you know, danger is everywhere. It finds me no matter how prepared against it that I think I am."

She stepped towards him and spoke just above a whisper, "May I ask you something? If you know Lord Mythos to be alive, why are you treating it as though he has died? Were those his expressed wishes?" Kay hoped that she wasn't overstepping her bounds by asking.

Nomkneer heard her words and as he did, the kaleesh understood what she was going through as before in the past during intensive training he too has felt useless and or weak. Only through the struggle did he gained more power. As she layed her question about Mythos, he wasn't physically fazed as his face was still. He turned around after placing some books in the back shelve behind the throne.

"You probably don't know Mythos the way i do... That guy will not die that easily, i have seen him torn and tattered like i haven't seen anyone else before and that slim looking mug always comes back. He cant be gone this time! Kida is with him."

He walked almost in circles without noticing it himself thinking about Mythos and that memory he has of that day, the enemy that Nomkneer and Darth Erebos have sworn to get revenge from, for Mythos.

Kay-Larr

Kay wasn't quite sure if [member="Nomkneer"] was trying to convince himself or her that Mythos was still alive. With Kida gone and their pet, it made all the more sense that he has just gone away for a while to recoup.

She watched him as he paced, almost beside himself. Clearly he was worried and perhaps a bit overwhelmed. "Yes, his daughter is with him and he has protection too. He will return in time and everyone will celebrate. In the meantime, you are his Regent and must keep everything together while he's gone. Listen to both sides of quarrels with an open mind, help out those that need it without hanging their debts over their heads. Keep the aid going for hospitals, healing centres and schools. You'll do really well with those things. But...Those are just my thoughts. I told Lord Mythos as much when he invited me after his coronation. He was going to rule with an iron fist, but he didn't need to in order to be a great King. I think that some of what I said sank in, for most here seem to adore him."

Nomkneer had decided it was time to view the preparations up close. He put all papers and memory drives of the information he was working with back to its places. As he walked out, the few two or three of the Jar'kai that survived walked beside him with pride, pride that was taught to them b their previous king. Meanwhile when the servants opened the gates he looked back to [member="Lady Kay"].

"Acompany me to see it all."

He walked towards the right of the palace where it has the balconies in which everything was being set to receive the people that was coming for tomorrow. A Stone base that was black was made with two bases, there was space for more but in the first space was placed a giant statue of Mythos, and a giant statue of Nomkneer was gonna be placed after the coronation as that will be the final ceremony before the feast.

The statues are made of a black metal, that during the night they brighten by the light of the moon and they reflect a red shine on them like the eyes of a true sith lord. Everything was being done on time as Nomkneer likes to keep things on track. Finally after seeing all the decorations on the balcony he felt calm.

Kay-Larr

Kay raised a brow slightly as he asked her to follow. Maybe she wasn't overstepping her bounds afterall. She followed, though in behind the Jar'kai as she was nothing but a self invited guest. Would she have come if she was invited? More than likely.

She rested her hands on the balcony as she looked to the statue. The carvers and rocksmiths of Atrisia were clearly some of the best in the Galaxy. Their talents and skills at capturing life in rock, metal and crystal were worthy of great distinction. In a way it made her sad. Her own likeness was created by them yet she did not deem herself worthy of it. Her accomplishments meant nothing if they couldn't let her keep her job and live day by day without worrying about her next meal or what floor or couch she was going to sleep on that night. Uncertainty was not something to be proud of. Getting fired and kicked out forever from Government was also something to not be proud of.

"They've really outdone themselves, M'Lord....Silver Tongue would weep with joy when he sees it." That was her nickname for Lord Mythos, earned by his smooth talking that won over almost everyone. Almost.

[member="Nomkneer"]

Nomkneer had finally got them to finish the statues. The statue of Nomkneer would be hidden underneath Atrisian weaved drapes, waiting for the moment for it to be uncovered and placed on its corresponding base. It was getting dark and night time was getting closer as the day was about to pass by, the day of the ceremony was about to arrive. Within a few hours Nomkneer will be king of Atrisia legally, the thought of that gave him multiple feelings.

As the darkness of the night came slowly progressing, the statue of Mythos would shine red like the eyes of a sith. Nomkneers statue would not notice the shine because underneath the drapes the moon shine wont reflect on it. Resting his weight on the edge of the balcony he looked at [member="Lady Kay"] and figured it was the moment to speak. She hasn't said much of herself.

"So... what is your name young lady? and how did you get to know Lord Mythos?"

He asked with a little curiosity while looking at her face and her reactions to see if she was telling the truth.

Kay-Larr

Sphaera Tea Company Owner
Kay was a horrible liar as there was no easier book to read than her face. So she always did her best to keep to the truth. "My name is Kay. I....used to be a Senator for a trade planet in the Republic. I first came here with a jedi bodyguard to organize a trade deal, not knowing that the Sith were here to take over the planet when we had arrived. Lord Mythos gave off his speeches as did I over who would best serve the people. But I was vastly outnumbered. Lord Ferus came in disguise and led the Jedi and myself to safety. Lord Mythos then extended an invitation to me to visit him on Naboo. He of course put on hus charms and wanted me to sleep with him. I refused and left. Then he requested my help when the Trade Union attacked the peaceful world. I did what I could, but it mattered little. Months later, he invited me here and let me know of his appointment as King. Still I refused his lustful intent and thankfully he respected it. Then I came by to check on him as I do consider him a friend, and that was just before he disappeared. He will be back though. And you will have made him proud."

[member="Nomkneer"]

Nomkneer gazed in shock as he stepped back and took out a shot of alcohol from the wall. He walked slowly as his mind was now cleared of where Nomkneer had seen her.

"i know you now, remember me, the bodyguard Mythos had during the political dispute. thank me for all the extended security."

He said with a sudden laugh. Even though he remembers it changes nothing of how he will treat her but it gave him information and seeing her crumble up in honesty Nomkneer felt like she was somewhat trustworthy.

"You know, you seem to be very well adapted to all the political nonsense. I need a private advisor... care for the spot? Do not get confused, I just think it will better my communication towards the people and the political party. As long as you behave at all times and serve me well you will not need security around Atrisia. Just dont go sneaking around parts of the planet that are unauthorized."

Nomkneer said as an offer of peace between two natural enemies.

Kay-Larr

Sphaera Tea Company Owner
Kay folded her hands as she rested her forearms on the balcony. "I remember you. You kept an eye on me and the Jedi."

She listened to his offer and more importantly in the way that he put it. Such language was used more by the people that she had rescued slaves from. Behave. That could be such a bad word if given in the wrong context. "Thank you for your offer, M'Lord, but I am unsure if I would be the right person for the job. I am still a Republic citizen and being hired here could very much amount to treason. Lord Mythos had tight security not because he didn't trust me, but because he didn't trust others to leave me in peace. It was in case other Sith came to capture or assassinate me. In light of that, would you still deem it wise to have me stay?"

[member="Nomkneer"]

Nomkneer felt the breeze hit is face as he gazed at the shinning towns throughout the scenery from the balcony. Everything seemed quite relaxing, As she explained her reason for why she could not do the job, he looked back to her while laughing at the irony of a sith and a jedi just having a pleasant conversation on a balcony.

"Well that is just sad, I know you could've been great help from under the shadows as my secret political adviser. Its alright."

He said while giving a small yawn from overworking around the palace after the workers making sure that everything sets up nicely. He took steps back and he told the jedi.

"Whenever you feel like it you may go back to your room to sleep as for tomorrow is a busy day. Also, i understand the reason for Mythos putting several security around you and i'll keep light guard as its for the best."

He said as he took one more shot of alchohol and he blazed a death stick puffing it to ease his nervousness before tomorrow.
