Description: I.M.D. C5-OMD MkI is basic mining droid, it use it scanners and sensors to locate certain types of ore or crystals. Then use it mining lasers to cut through the rock, to get to required material. If it comes to particularly hard rock to get through, or gets stuck in area. It can use a seismic charge to break through the rock. Due to hot work dealing with mines, and lasers it was given a Environmental shield to protect it, as it would also be used in outer space. This shield protects the droid from extreme heat or cold, as linear expansion or contraction can play hell with durasteel if exposed on long term operations. Each of their legs has also got a slightly modified foot, so it can be used as a spade.
