I need help

I have a few questions before I can make a character. One if I want to use a character from a story I am currently working on. Can I use him or would I have to start him all over? Say I have a story and the main character is a Jedi or Sith master would I be allowed to use him as is or would I have to start over completely with that character?

It depends, if you can show proof from ANOTHER ROLEPLAY that he became a master, then thats different, but if you've made up a story on your own with a master character. You can't

But in order to be a Jedi Master I'd have to provide proof, and it took years for my character to become a master in the stories. So in order to roughly have the same results would I not have to start off young?

[member="Havoc"] essentially yes but then again as your character progresses you can age him as he goes. There is also the option to have most of your initial rp's in the past until he reaches master at which point they are at the current time here on Chaos.

FORCE USERS
  • All Force Users start out as an Apprentice or a Padawan.
  • Force User Ranks must be requested and displayed as one of your two official Rank Titles.*
  • Force User Ranks can only be approved by Staff.
*Characters under 50 posts are waived from this rule, as they can not request Rank Titles.
CHARACTER TRANSFERS
  • Please list all role-plays at your previous board that are relevant.
  • Please list what roleplay board you're transferring from.
  • Please request your transfer in the Rank Title | Sub-Account Name Change thread.

You must have valid proof pertaining to another board to transfer a character as a Knight or Master. Otherwise, you must start out as an apprentice/padawan/acolyte, etc. You may RP as that rank as if it were in the past, however you cannot assume the role of knight or master at any point until you've earned those ranks.

So basically I set him up as a master and base my roleplays in the past before he became a master?
You cannot start a new force user as a master without following the procedures for requesting a transfer, as seen in our Character Creation rules.
TRANSFERRING YOUR CHARACTER
  • Please list all role-plays at your previous board that are relevant.
  • Please list what roleplay board you're transferring from.
  • Please request your transfer in the Rank Title | Sub-Account Name Change thread.
You may start off at whatever age you want and progress at whatever rate you want, in terms of age, but you must start as an apprentice/padawan/initiate/acolyte.

[member="Havoc"] yes essentially but you make your initial profile like he's starting out and just continue to update it as time and skills accumulate, though it's a lot easier just to make a new character or just start the character out as a padawan and let him grow into the character you envision him to become. Having recent events influence him and his growth in ways you couldn't think of before might make a much more pleasing rp experience.

As noted several times, in this thread itself, unless the character is being transferred from another Star Wars roleplaying forum to our forum, you may not start a new character as a Master or Knight ranked force user.
