I remember you

When Gherron first heard he was going to Bakura, he was thrilled. Not only did he love space travel, but he had a huge knack for exploring new planets. He'd never been to this one, and that made it all the better. On his way over, he'd done a lot of research on the planet, and was surprised to find out that it was like Alderaan in a lot of ways. His interest keeping him almost to the edge of his seat, he eventually made it down to the planet's surface. "Wish Rael could have seen this..." Mountains, rivers, valleys. Gherron was in paradise.

Bakura, a nice planet to be sure. Kiren was coming along quite nicely, and Nefertari had taken a bit of leave. She felt more free and joyous since Ilum. Perhaps because a problem or two had been resolved, or maybe it was something else entirely. Turning around to gaze up at a sight, she backed into somebody. That somebody was [member="Gherron Vael"]
"Oops, I'm sorry." She said turning around "Is that you, Gherron?"

Gherron found it rather hard to enjoy the scenery of the planet when someone was crashing into him. "Oof!" Hearing a female voice, he turned around to match it up with a face. Of course! It was the Jedi he'd met in the caves of Ilum, [member="Nefertari Sovint"]. Smiling a little, he brushes himself off gently before talking again. "Nefertari, right? Can I call you Nef?"

"Not just everybody is right to call me Nef. You however, may do so. What brings you to Bakura?"
Indeed it was the Jedi Nef had met in the caves of Ilum. He wasn't half-bad as far as looks go.

Gherron smiled to himself when he heard that she didn't allow everyone to call her by that nickname. "Mostly just tidying stuff up. I'm testing myself recently, seeing how good I am at negotiations. Maybe I can be as good at peace as I am in battle. You?" While he talked, he allowed himself to look the other over, trying to be discreet about it.

Was [member="Gherron Vael"] eyeing her up? Nef wanted to give him what-for for a second, then remembered that he was nice. She knew, but was surprisingly OK with it. "I'm on a bit of leave. If you like, I could join you."

Gherron immediately felt the sudden emotion from [member="Nefertari Sovint"], causing his face to turn a light red. He was grateful when she offered to join him. "Um, sure. Yeah, that sounds great." 'Idiot', he chastised himself. 'You can fight battles, talk to royalty, but you can't talk to a girl.' Swallowing down his thoughts, he spoke up again. "Uh, there's a nice outcropping of mountains over this way. The planet is amazing."

"Well, I did have some time to explore around. The scenery here really is great." He chuckled a little to himself. "That's gotta be weird, a guy who actually enjoys getting out and gawking at nature." It was one of his pastimes, after all. Besides, who could not enjoy such a sight?

[member="Nefertari Sovint"]

Gherron smiled, glad he was able to find someone else who enjoyed nature as much as him. Continuing on, he sat down in the shade of a large tree, when he remembered something. "Oh yeah! I've started working on his I think I want my new lightsabers to look", he said, referring to a conversation they'd had in Ilum's caves. Pulling out his sketchbook, he flipped through a few pages until he got to one with a rough sketch of two saber hilts, one curved and menacing looking, the other simple and serene.

[member="Nefertari Sovint"]

"I do, yeah. Wanna look?" Gherron handed the sketchbook to her, watching for her reaction. While flipping through it, she would see a combination of notes and sketches, the sketches being that of lightsaber designs, people, places, and machinery.

[member="Nefertari Sovint"]

Gherron smiled at the compliment as [member="Nefertari Sovint"] flipped through the book. "I'm glad you think so." He had a thought then, but wasn't sure if it was very appropriate. Maybe that was just his insecurity, as he'd drawn others before. He really wanted to ask to draw her, but his tongue went dry, and he couldn't say anything for a few seconds.

Chuckling a little, Gherron gently pulled his sketchbook back from [member="Nefertari Sovint"], and brought out his pencil. Opening to a new page, he started his work, staring up at her every now and then to get every detail.

Had Nef ever had her portrait done? She couldn't really remember. She held as still as she could, that way she wouldn't screw up [member="Gherron Vael"]'s drawing of her.
