"Hm. Maybe we could do the picnic thing some other time then." Setting the blanket down, he led Nef to the pilot's chair, sitting down in the chair next to it and offering the othe seat to her. "Wanna give it a little test drive?"

"If you will let me, I would love to."
[member="Gherron Vael"]'s approval was implied, so Nef sat down and fired it up.
A tingling of satisfaction ran through Nef.

Gherron smiled a little and watched Nef, as she seemed to b right at home. "Where do you want to go, captain Nef?", he asked with a playful tone.

"Let's just take it for a spin, I'm more used to starfighters and I wouldn't want to wreck such a nice man's vessel."
Nef took them into orbit and looked out at the planets and the stars

"Fair enough." Gherron watched her at the controls as she took them up into space, and almost had to force himself to look away into the viewport when they came to a stop. "What do ya think? Nice, huh?"

"You can see forever"
She looked out and saw something that struck her as odd
"I thought Alderaan had been destroyed"

"Yeah, I heard about that too, but there it is." Gherron looked at the blue planet with her, a small orb in the distance. "Would you like to go there? It's quite nice. I would know." He gave Nef a cheeky smile at that. Hey, if it made her happy, Gherron was glad to do it. Especially if he was the reason for her happiness.

"I'd always wondered what it was like as a little kid. Sure" ^_^
There was something about Gherron...something Nef hadn't seen in other men. She wasn't too sure what it was
Soon after making the calculations, Nef made the jump to hyperspace. She was on the way to Alderaan. A world she had wondered about for a long time.
Coming out of hyperspace, they found themselves in a meteor storm.

The second the ship came out of hyperspace, Gherron's eyes widened. "Uhh... Not cool! Not cool not cool not cool!" In a flash, he was at the controls, trying to steer them out of the storm, though the ship was taking heavy damage. Something like this probably looked real nice from the surface, considering the meteors weren't heading for the surface, but caught in the storm, it was a nightmare. Especially for Gherron, who valued the ship greatly, and valued its cargo-him and Nef-even more.

To say that Nef wasn't freaked out would be untrue. However, she was able to keep her cool in this situation.
"Give me the controls, I can get us out of this."
[member="Gherron Vael"] handed the controls back to Nefertari and she began to use stunt maneuvers for evasive purposes.
An opening appeared, Nef kicked it into high gear and charged for the atmosphere of Alderaan.

It wasn't that Gherron was panicking or anything, he just didn't want either of them hurt. But when Nef asked for the controls, he got up and let her do her thing. Soon enough, she was dodging and weaving through the meteor shower and into the planet's atmosphere, heading toward the surface. When they were clear of the shower, he breathed silent sigh of relief. "You okay there?"

The adrenaline rush from danger...Nef felt it. She felt the pleasure of success as well; she had saved herself and her priceless cargo:[member="Gherron Vael"]
"I-I'm fine. Sorry if I freaked you out with my acrobatics. My mother taught me to fly."
Nef grinned cutely, She was really starting to like her friend

Gherron chuckled softly and gave [member="Nefertari Sovint"] a soft hug. "That's fine. As long as we made it out of that, i'm all good. But seriously you have got to teach me to fly like that. That was amazing!" He was a pretty decent pilot after all, but what he had just seen was fantastic. As much as space travel excited him, he was willing to learn from anyone.

"I must admit, that was my first time piloting a corvette with stunts. I could teach you a few things though."
Nef had been flying for as long as she could remember, It sort of came naturally.
"Well, looks like we're here for a bit"

Smiling at Nef's agreement to show him what he knew, he looked around for a second before deciding to head off to the exit. "Hey, I don't mind. We wanted to come here anyway, right?" 'Wouldn't be the worst place to have that picnic either...', he thought silently, picking the blanket and food back up.

"Alright, let's go"

Walking outside, he breathed in the fresh air that accompanied it. "Man, I love this place. When it comes to scenery, you can't really do much better than Alderaan. Just wait, you'll see." As he talked, his eyes searched the landscape for a good place to set up, and eventually spotted a large field. "Hey, perfect!"

Nef soon spotted the field
"You have sharp eyes. That is a good spot."

Leading them over, Gherron found a nice level spot to drape the blanket over, then set his container down on it, pulling out sandwiches, fruit, and pastries. Strawberry, of course. "Well, here you go. I hope you enjoy yourself", Gherron said with a smile.
