I Want A World of...

Haytham Kaze

Judge, Judgury, Judgecutioner
Choices had been made in his recent time on Bespin. His decision was to seek out the One Sith. There was another decision he had to make, and that decision was to decide whether or not he should affiliate himself with them. He had asked his Master, Darth Orcus about the One Sith, and from his description of them, it sounded as if he wasn't too fond of them.

As if their vision was too short for him. He wanted to reclaim the iconic worlds of the Sith. Dromund Kaas, Korriban, and the rest. Haytham wanted that too, but he required more than that.

What Haytham Kaze of Dromund Kaas wanted was peace. Peace in this chaotic Galaxy.

It just so happened that in his mind the One Sith were the closest thing to a true superpower capable of controlling the Galaxy. With the Jedi gone, there would truly be peace.

As long as Rebellions are put down smoothly...

The thought crossed his mind as he pulled down his macrobinoculars and lifted from his crouched position on the roof half a mile away from the Sith Temple on Coruscant.

Exhaling,he re-attached the binoculars to his waist and started heading down the steps. He had been at the top of that roof for quite some time. The idea of being caught by One Sith operatives wasn't the most appealing idea in the world. And so he headed into the lift of the building, within a few minutes he was deposited on the ground level and he headed out of the building.

If I'm truly be sought out, moving closer would be the least expected thing.

And with that idea in mind, Haytham forged ahead, patting down his sides to make sure his three lightsabres were on his wrist, along with his disruptor pistol in the small of his back. All of them concealed by the black coat that he wore.

Briga Tiin, Priestess of Iktotch and Sith Inquistor, landed on Coruscant in The Spectre, her Scarab-Class corvette on an errand for Sith Lord, Darth Plinror whom she’d met on Thracior, using her precognitive ability to flush out traitors on one of her first assignments with the One Sith. This time when the Caprine mystic traveled, she brought her own saber, a blaster, a vibrodagger (strapped to her thigh) and wore a light suit of armor under her vest. After being captured by Darth Adekos on Munnilinst, the Inquisitor was not going to take any chances anymore with her well-being. If she had to wear a suit of Stormtrooper armor she would, but for now she preferred the movement afforded by just a chest plate under her gown and cloaks.

The errand to the Sith Temple was surely beneath her, but now that she was parted from her Master, Darth Prazutis, preparing for a spiritual quest of epic proportions on her own, or perhaps with another prophet who she had yet to identify, she needed to stay in the good graces of the One Sith and cultivate alliances where she could. The Thracior-based Nelvaanian was gruff and terse, but he had a soft spot for Briga after she’d found almost every single traitor they had been tracking on his planet. Furthermore the horned mystic had just enough feral charm to appeal to both humans and more animal-like ones, like Plinror. Arriving in a covered speeder, Briga opened the door and strode to the entrance of the Temple, her yellow eyes flitting around for any signs of danger around her.

He'd be blind not to see the speeder go by overhead, straight to the Temple that he as heading for. Glancing down to his wrist and pushing back his sleeve, he looked upon the chronometer there and he continued forwards. He turned his head away from the speeder, only realizing at hat moment that it was landing mere metes away from him. Exhaling a pent up breath, he spotted the blue headed being.

What is that? Uh...

He stared dumbly at [member="Briga Tiin"] for maybe a split moment too long before he'd twist his head away, slipping his hands into his pockets, all the while voicing, perhaps too loud, "Oh, that's unfortunate," as his heels twisted on the ground and he made as if to head to some structure a little ways away from the speeder. After all, the way her vehicle landed, it had blocked the path that he had been planning to take.

The darkside of the Force was extremely strong near the Sith Temple, but among the busy Coruscant streets, filled with mostly normal citizens not blessed with the Force, she could feel one signature that was a little closer than the rest.

“That’s unfortunate.”

Briga whipped her head around at the voice which belonged to a male human or near-human. Since joining the Sith, the Caprine mystic was painfully aware of her surroundings in case an assassin were nearby. Her clawed hands had been bloodstained recently – twelve murders of Church of Ax’no elders slaughtered by her former Master Darth Prazutis directly under the watchful eye of Priestess Tiin. While she wasn’t a suspect yet, the Iktotchi authorities had paid her an unexpected visit over the sudden deaths. They rarely meddled in the business of the Caprine colony, which was governed by its own laws outside of Iktotchi jurisdiction, but it was unsettling that they’d shown an interest. But it could just be an Acolyte sent by Darth Plinror to welcome her to the Temple. The blue-haired mystic paused, hand hovering near her utility belt where her lightsaber hung.

“Are you looking for me?” she asked in a husky growl.

Haytham twists his head back around to look at the blue headed... Whatever that was. After giving her a good looking, he'd finally stop trying to look inconspicuous and face her as she addressed him. Rolling his shoulders back, the young man remained silent for a brief few moments as he thought over her question. Why would anyone send him for her? Was she supposed to be important or something? Reaching out into the Force, he didn't care if he hurt people's feelings if she felt his senses wash over her. He didn't feel anything spectacular, and so in response he shrugged before actually speaking.

"Who are you, that you'd think anyone would be looking for you?"

He takes a moment to look her up and down again, finally noting the hand that went to her lightsabre, and his own reaction was to raise his arms and cross them over his chest.

[member="Briga Tiin"]

On the busy Coruscant walkway, Briga watched the stranger size her up. Then she felt him reach out with the Force, the touch of invisible fingers pushing inside her brain. The Caprine mystic immediately raised her mental defenses to protect the sensitive information she had inside her mind. Her psyche had already been plundered once, and it was an extremely distressing and painful event. Why the fellow Acolyte felt nothing special is because the horned seer was defending her internal data bank. Her scandals, slaughters and deepest, darkest fears would not be laid bare for him.

“I’m here on an assignment from Darth Plinror,” she responded. “I thought perhaps you were sent to accompany me inside. But if, not I’ll take my leave.” The Caprine turned to leave, looking back over her shoulder quizzically at the human or near-human. If he had a reason to be there she would know it soon enough. And all of her senses were heightened now for any sign of peril.

Immediately he realized what had been going on. Because he was a Force user on Coruscant, she assumed he was a member of the One Sith. His head tilted to the side as he regarded her again. Shaking his black mane from side to side, he'd raise a hand to signal that she shouldn't head off just yet, after all she was still watching him from over her shoulder.

"I am not one of your fellow One Sith," he'd say. Though she may have come to that conclusion herself after she had said 'Plinror' because his reaction hadn't changed and his presence in the Force likely would've been one that remained inquisitive and questioning. Dropping his arms from that crossed position on his chest, he'd pocket them in his black pants as he continued on to say, "Though I am..." He stopped as he thought of the word. "Interested... in the One Sith."

It definitely wasn't the stealthy, cool, holofilm way of doing things, but Haytham had long ago realized he didn't have the mental capacity to be as cutthroat and sly as other people in the Galaxy, let alone a Sith. "I'd accompany the..." He blinked as he took in the horns, his words dragging on to signal that he didn't know what she was exactly, but he'd take it in stride anyway. "..You inside." That was likely as friendly he'd be able to get with the Inquisitor before she decided to head off he figured.

[member="Briga Tiin"]

Briga stopped again as the stranger admitted he wasn’t a member of the One Sith. He had a decidedly dark signature, however. Could he be a Dark Jedi? Someone from the ranks of the Grey?

But when it came to the Sith, the horned mystic knew there was safety in numbers. Even strolling into the Coruscant Temple and rankling a pompous and powerful Sith Lord could get an Acolyte like her in trouble. Or worse, fodder for torture or experiments.

“Come then,” she said. “Follow me inside. I could use the company.” Briga wasn’t one for long periods of solitude as the Caprine species were social and gregarious. Being alone was extremely foreign to their communal way of life. “I am picking up an artifact for Darth Plinror of Thracior.”

Once the two of them made their way inside, Briga checked in with the front desk as she would be expected. Security in the temple was extremely tight, and the Priestess was able to relax, knowing that if the stranger tried to harm her, he wouldn’t get very far with the amount of guards and security droids around. “While we’re here, we should meditate by the large crystal. There’s one very similar in the Tower of Prophecy on Voss… where I happened to meet the most intriguing little Zeltron padawan,” she said more talking to herself than to the Acolyte, as though she was lost in the memory for a moment.

Haytham remained silent. His only response to tip his head in thanks as she apparently accepted his company. Clasping his hands in the small of his back, he supposed the best way to investigate the One Sith was to enter their ranks. What better place to do so in the heart of their huge Empire? The place where their true conquest had begun no less. Exhaling as they entered, Haytham's hands remained clasped in one another and interlocked via the fingers.

He was trying his hardest not to seem imposing.

Remembering why he was there again, he turned his head to look upon [member="Briga Tiin"], and immediately his breath caught in his throat. Stopping for a moment and suddenly coughing when she spoke, it took him a moment to actually process what she was saying.

His initial reaction had been to the meditation. Those few that did know Haytham knew that he wasn't the type to meditate, though he would never down play its merit. The Kaasian native, just didn't like it. But the fact that she had mentioned Voss and a Zeltron, well, at that point things had already pieced together as she spoke.

Straightening his back, at either side of his body, his fists would clench and unclench, a hand raised to push his hair out of his eyes as he looked about the Dark Temple. "You're a priestess then?" He questioned lightly, seeming to act as if his coughing fit had never happened and he'd continue to walk as if he knew the way. His rampant emotions toned down, just enough so that the Caprine wouldn't feel as if she was endangered, but then he'd go on to say.

"Before we continue, what is your name?" He'd twist his head over his shoulder to look at her.

The Caprine mystic cocked a well-groomed brow at her new companion. His countenance had suddenly changed when she mentioned meditation and Voss. Reading his body language, she began to realize that more of her words had affected him – that the mention of the Zeltron padawan…

He knew her… possibly.

“My name is Priestess Tiin,” she answered, as she began to probe the dark-haired stranger’s mind for any sign of Joza in there. Briga continued as though she were content to make small talk all day, not giving the impression that any of the emotional weather between them had changed. “Briga is my first name. I am the Head Adept at the Church of Ax’no on Iktotch. For the most part the Caprine – my species – are the only ones to worship Ax’no, but we do have some Iktotchi converts as well.”

There was something inside the stranger’s mind related to the beautiful pink-skinned siren, but he had it locked up fairly tight with mental defenses. Still, his sensitivity towards the subject betrayed him. But as they walked along the Temple corridors, Briga didn’t want to come out and ask him. At times like these she enjoyed the intrigue and even the game of using others’s volatile emotions against them.

“What is your name, friend? And are you sure you’ve never been to Voss?”

To find someone who knew Joza - her pretty, magenta plaything, her Joza - was a very interesting development on an otherwise mundane trip as Darth Plinror's errand girl.

Haytham felt as if his best course of action was to kick in Briga's head there and then. Mostly because he could feel as she made the attempt at probing his mind. The subject of Joza was a sore one, but he wasn't going to let it hinder him any further.

"Briga Tiin." The Apprentice said aloud beforr he tipped his head to the Caprine. "A lovely name," he'd say as they continued through the Temple. "I've never heard of any of those names beforre... They're just sounds," he says, the whole mistep involving Joza slipping from his mind.

His lips would widen into a smile as he came to a realization. "You're pretty, but we're not friends." He'd say, his tone taking on a serious one for perhaps the first time. "Haytham, is my first name." The Kaasian native doesn't divulge much more than that.

He knew she wanted to wrap him around her finger, but he was going to remain as rigid as he could.

"No. I may have recently thought of visiting the Mystics... Though I have an inkling that you can serve the same purpose."

[member="Briga Tiin"]

Briga could feel the emotion emanating off of Haytham – a mix of annoyance, shock and regret roiled inside of him, along with a healthy dose of anger towards her. Using the Darkside, she breathed it all in like the perfumed Underworld air and let it wash over her, a soothing, inky blanket of passion across her skin. He was quite bothered. And the Caprine was going to find out why.

She could try to read his future right then and there. But her precognition on Coruscant wasn’t very sharp, likely due to the sheer population on the ecunemopolis. Her visions came easier to her when she was sitting lotus-flower style in a windy valley on Iktotch, or even in a remote cave on a planet like Voss which pulsated with the spirits of ancient mystics.

When he said they weren’t friends, Briga chuckled, a low rumbling sound like far-off thunder. “My purpose on Voss was to visit the Mystics as well, but I was waylaid.” Briga’s amber eyes glittered like a rough-hewn diamond. “By a Jedi named Joza Perl,” she continued, her conversation wholly unsolicited.

The Priestess knew where she was going in the Temple, but suddenly took a detour. If she was able to go the long way around to her destination, and perhaps if her suspicions were correct, she could find out where the Zeltron was now and just how to get to her once more. And just what the dark-haired force user’s relationship with her.

Haytham had locked that part of himself deep within. He didn't need to be a genius to already know who she was talking about. Not many Zeltrons would leave their planet of Zeltros, and even fewer would actually head off to the planet of Voss. Through Joza, he had learned that that planet was home to the Silver Sanctum, or something along those lines, he may or not have been paying attention when she had been telling him.

So he took the name in stride, not even a sign of hesitation as he raises a brow at the name. "Curious." He'd say innocently enough, those grey eyes of his shining brightly as he turned to regard the other Acolyte with the faintest of smiles. He opened his mouth to say, "I seem to know a Zeltron by that exact name as well," his eyes shining brightly in the likely dim light of the corridor. He flashed his pearly white teeth to continue on to say, "I'm not the sort to play these sort of games. They're boring," he'd bite out as he turned his gaze away from her.

"Get to the point."

[member="Briga Tiin"]

“I knew it!” said Briga in an "a-ha" moment. But she could tell his patience was wearing thin. “My point is that we have something in common. So tell me a little bit about Joza?” the horned mystic asked.

They were close to their destination, a tucked away library where Briga would be picking up a minor Sith Scroll for Darth Plinror. She slowed her steps so that the two Acolytes could be alone for a few more minutes. The library would likely be dim-lit and hushed, and she wouldn’t be able to have this conversation in there.

“Did you know her well? Is she still on Voss?”

Briga’s rapid-fire questions alluded to the fact that, yes, perhaps she was slightly obsessed with finding the beautiful pink-skinned near human again. There was a passion in the svelte Jedi, that the seer felt was worth investigating further, perhaps cultivating, and like trying to kindle a dying fire, fanning the flames of the darkness in her to join the Priestess in her endeavors to spread her religion.

At least she finally got his clearly laid out hint. Haytham wasn't interested in the game that [member="Briga Tiin"] wanted to play. The game that revolved around Joza Perl, no, that wasn't going to happen. There were better things to do in his time, and between the both of them, he had already figured there were better games to play.

When she asked him however to tell her about Joza, he slowed down to a stop. It was good that she was slowing down already to stop, but for what, he knew not and he leveled his gaze upon her. "No." It was the only response that he'd give her on the matter. His tone was stronger than beskar then, but he'd certainly let it slip away and die down as he listens to her next words. "I knew her," he'd say. It certainly wasn't an answer that would give her the information she wanted. Straight to the point, and likely as useful as bantha poodoo.

Haytham already knew of their relationship. Well enough to see through the interview the Caprine was intent on giving him.

"You took her then?"

He'd let her determine what he meant.

Briga grinned widely. “To say I took her is an understatement. We lay with each other, quite a few times actually.” The Caprine mystic gazed off in the distance for a moment, reliving the moment that Joza acquiesced. It was a perfectly hypnotizing mating dance she’d done and neither of them went away unsatisfied. And in a way, Joza had taken her, had seduced her just the same, and it wasn't just the ubiquitous Zeltron pheromones that had charmed her.

Briga’s originally plan had been to capture the beguiling, pink-skinned siren, but the little minx was clever enough to see through that. Still, the Priestess would love to get her claws back into Joza’s tender back again. There was an air of protectiveness around Haytham on the subject of the Zeltron. Briga didn’t want to seem to eager to mine his brain for information about her but…

“Do you know where to find her now?” she asked as they reached large double doors which opened into the library.

If he wasn't in company, hearing her say that taking Joza was an understatement certainly would've made him go cross-eyed. But instead, he'd huff and smirk, he could admit that the image of them together was quite... Hot. At that point he was starting to figure that maybe he couldn't be blaming his ex-lover completely. After all, [member="Briga Tiin"] was fairly attractive. "I'm sure you did," he'd say with the faintest looks of amusement, though he kept his hate for her underneath the surface. So did we. He'd think before they seemed to have stopped in front of two large double doors.

If there was one thing that Haytham knew, it was that admitting you didn't know something was just as bad as saying you did. At least, it depended on the situation and who you were speaking to.In this one, he believed they were likely the same thing. She's been steering this for too long. "Why should I tell you?" He'd inquire, maybe too aggressive before he'd clear his throat and speak again.

"What do I get if I tell you?"

[member="Briga Tiin"]

Briga’s smile widened like the grin of a ringleader surveying her circus. Haytham was far too flustered in this conversation for his knowledge of Joza Perl to be casual. He had been intimate with her too, she was quite sure of it.

“What do you want?” the Caprine repeated. “I’ll tell you what. You help me find the Jedi siren and you can have her.” In a lower, alluring voice , soft as though steeped in warm honey, she said, “To possess. Body and soul. She will be all yours… but only after I’m done with her.”

With a clawed finger, she beckoned the Acolyte to follow her into the library. Only a couple of students turned around to notice the duo, but most had their heads buried in data archives. She went up to the front desk and retrieved a small, ornate container with ancient Sith markings upon it. “I believe this is a lesser scroll for Darth Plinror,” she said, tucking it away. Whispering now because they were in a quiet and revered space, she said, “So what do you say? We could even go retrieve her together.”

Haytham snorts at her proposition.

"I certainly don't need you for that." He didn't bother to whisper. If she thought that Haytham needed her so that he could be with Joza, well, she was sorely mistaken. Instead, he'd laugh this time as he replayed the words in his mind. "You're not that good at negotiating, are you?" Of course, he would follow her into the library from the entrance, and he'd glance down at the desk, picking up a random object before turning it around in his hand and setting it back down. "You need me. You're going to have to do better than that," he'd step past her and further into the library past the desk as he places his hands on his waist.

Exhaling, he says, "As far as you're concerned, [member="Joza Perl"] is unattainable. So tell me, why the One Sith?"

[member="Briga Tiin"]

Briga snorted derisively. She’d negotiated with wealthy and sometimes frightening rulers of entire planets and star systems, normally getting what she wanted.

How dare he? How dare-

It was Joza. I have a weakness for the pink-haired siren, she thought. That revelation took her slightly aback. Real feelings were a bit of a construct to Briga, an illusion of sorts. But did she have an emotion longing for the Zeltron or did she just want to…?

“That’s fine,” she said with a flip of her hand. “I can add her to my collection another time. Come and walk with me now as I must go. I’ve gotten what I wanted today.” Her eyes scanned Haytham, apparently including him in that as well.

“The One Sith is the most powerful industrial military complex in the galaxy,” said Briga. “I am one of the most powerful figures on Iktotch. It only makes sense to align forces. But what about you, dear Haytham? What brought you to the Sith and what is it that you want to achieve?”
