Relina took a hit to her starboard side of her opaque canopy. The shielding took most of it, but there was a scorch mark on the silver paint-job and a crack in one of the recessed lenses protecting the holocams that let her see everything outside without a traditional transparisteel bubble. Part of her view on her right side, as a result, was now unclear. "Taking fire, minor starboard canopy damage." R9 said, using her diagnostic utilities to assess the damage. Relina felt the impact, but knew where he had gone. She would do something unexpected, however. She pulled back on the throttle to slow herself and would sharply flip herself around as Dar went to engage Josh. Still feeling more than thinking, she looked up and saw her quarry and another Terminus fighting. The IFF confirmed 'Angel 8' just as she came out of the inside-loop manoeuvre, which placed her right behind her target.
"Joshua! He's mine! Back off and support the Firedrake! They have boarders hard-docked." she said as she accelerated toward Dar with a vengeance. She wasn't even using her targeting computer to stay on his backside, being that the stealth function was messing with her ability to sensor lock, but rather merely seeing his silhouette against the bright backdrop of the Transitory Mists and somehow... someway she couldn't explain, she could just... feel him there. This 'pilot's high', as she called it once upon a time, was exhilarating.
"Right where I want you." she mumbled as she once again fired her guns, alternating ion cannons and lasers, at that same odd tempo, as if firing ahead of a twist or turn. She would keep her finger firmly on the missile-launch button, patiently waiting for the sweet sound of the lock-tone. "R9-Engage tactical music. If he wants to play hard-to-get with me, then he will be silenced."
"Complied. Do you have a particular song in mind?"
"Affirmative. Something... traditional... and scan for our little friend's frequency. Further, I'm going to need you to find any changes in frequency usage. I don't want them talking anymore unless I get to hear what they are saying."
She named a song of a traditional type... it involved the heavy use of bagpipes. It was played over the comm once R9 found Dar's frequency.

Meanwhile, on board the Firedrake, the Space Marines and Cyborg Warriors on board were prepared to repel boarders. helmets were locked and sealed, personal shields were online, deployable cover deployed in strategic areas starting at the obvious fork in the airlock corridor and each adjacent corridor having more combat personnel covering the advance squad. All non-combat personnel were sealed in their stations each with a squad of 6 guarding the accessways. The ship was on high alert, which meant total lockdown. The largest single force, a total of 3 lances (which in Hapan order of battle meant 36 soldiers total including 6 Cyborgs, where a lance was 2 squads of 6) was concentrated at the engine room. Another lance was located at life support and yet another at the datacore. Finally, two lances were barricading the bridge. The rest were in squads of 6 sporadically placed around the ship. In total, the troops numbered at 250. Droids were restricted from movement about the ship during lockdown except in cases of a mission-critical duty, same for support personnel, all of which had to be escorted by a squad. They waited, weapons locked and loaded.
"As soon as that door opens, even if it is blown open, let them have it!" A Cyborg squad leader commanded. "The captain wants them alive if possible. Kill them only if you must."

The other Angels were still mopping up the deployed enemy fighters and Dar's ship along with the Kestral's fighters. Angel Two was unable to bail out and soon disappeared from everyone's IFF. He had been presumed Killed In Action, but Relina was not yet informed. Those who had survived him in his squadron fought back ferociously.
"Every.. single... one of you will pay for what you did to Holland!" Volcano roared as he tore into one of the enemy mooks buzzing about, laser cannons blazing.
"After everything Commander Roc said to me I...." Blackout's voice resounded, faltering only slightly before hardening along with her heart. "Angel Six! FOX TWO!"
"Gods, please tell me bailed out! C'mon!" Said Screech just after taking out another bandit of his own.
"Splash one. Kill confirmed. That was for Lance." Archer said as she turned to engage the pirate carrier-ship the enemy fighters were launched from. "and before Major Zhan's quarry goes to ground.... leave no ground to go to... Angel Four, Fox three!"
"Don't get strung out mourning. We're still in combat." Aurora, ever a voice of reason, advised. "We don't know what happened to him, yet."
