Blood Monarch
One of the things I've noticed about many of the TU planets is that they already have a lot of lore around monarchies and oligarchies (Naboo, Christophsis, Ascension). I personally enjoy playing noble characters like Thais Kallisto of Isis, and I also think there are quite a few more nobility-minded Rpers around.
So my idea is this. We open up the Techno Union planets to monarchs and nobility to rule. They would develop the world, their own militia, businesses, etc. and will have a seat on the Executive Council. In turn, they do business primarily with the Techno Union and protect our territory in time of war.
Subsequently, we can allow characters to become Merchant Oligarchs, meaning if they have a Tier 3 and above business, they can also rule the planet where their business is located. For example, Draco on Hypori and Tmoxin on Kamino.
Gaining the planets is a little like the Warlord system that the Primeval has. All a character needs to do is a storyline of 40 - 50 posts on that planet, including TU and other factions, and they become the ruler of the planet. The catch is they MUST have a noble title. We don't want no scrubs owning planets.
Also any planet can be contested by another oligarch at any time and can be taken over through RP.
