[IDEA] Sub units

So, lots of factions get very disorganised with sub organisations. There are sub forums, topics, a lack of information all of which make it hard for new members to get involved. Sometimes Padawans feel left out because they don't instantly pick up a master, and maybe some smaller Jedi groups would be more appropriate to help them feel involved.

Right from the start we've intended to make this faction open for players to define the sub-groups within the faction and I've had an idea to try and keep this streamlined.

We keep a single sticky as a repository of the main units within the GA. Owners are responsible for keeping an up-to-date membership list, and new members can PM owners to get involved.

As an example, this is what I'm working out:

Name: The Hounds
Intent: To have a small enclave of Jedi dedicated to front line combat and law enforcement
Membership Requirement: NJO Padawans, 18 and above, able to entire hostile situations.
Size: 6-9 members [~2 Masters, 3 Knights, 4 Padawans]
Equipment: Armour, Rifles, Handcannons, Cuffs

Description: The Hounds are a small group of Jedi typically drawn from members with military or law enforcement experience. When large scale operations take place, they act as front line soldiers in the war on the Sith. They're typically seen right amongst our forces at the pointy end of things, often leading squads or platoons into battle in pairs. They are, however, aware that charging forwards with your soldiers behind you is a good way to get killed by friendly fire, so they often take equipment into battle that allows them to engage the enemy at range, until the situation is suitable for lightsaber combat.

Their secondary role is to work with law enforcement agencies across the Alliance space. Typically involved in special operations to deal with organised crime or foreign intelligence activities, they are prised for their ability to read the minds of suspects and sense danger.

All members of the group have the hound insignia embroidered into Jedi robes and etched into their armour. At all times, it is the safety of the people of the Alliance that drives the members of this enclave.
