Ideas: Streamlining the Faction

Good morning Techno nuts,
Well, afternoon. Whatever.

With the new name change, its coming up to me, that we might want to get a few things in writing here for our own peace of mind, as to how the faction plays. We've evolved from afew different iterations, and it seems like we're gaining speed with the newest, the Techno Union.

Previously we used a Viceroyalty system from the CIS to the ACA.

But as we're the Techno Union and owning planets, I was wonering if anyone had any ideas as to how to streamlining our corportacractic (yes I made that up) technocratic government.

@Adekos has suggested that we use the Techno Union as a federal style government, keeping in line with the Viceroy (who will be a business, science or engineering oriented being) system. Each System received a Viceroy who established a Council of Planetary Development. The Techno Union funds this CPD to help establish and develop technology, advanced infrastructure and improve living conditions on our worlds. A planet's own political standing is established by the worlds themselves, separate from the CPD and the Techno Union. however the world must accept the Techno Union's breed of assistance.

Our SpyNet probably isnt going to change much, [member="Raziel"], correct?

And our Obsidian Order, the Techno Force users will be remaining very similar to how [member="Asher Valentine"] has laid them out, with the focus on the Force and technology. Allowing them to be combat, research or spy oriented with the arching mindset of 'through technology we can rock everything.' I keep thinking Mass Effect's Sentinel classes.

As far as the Double-Oh goes, I'm going to set up a group thread once Rothana is done to seek out (a) Mechu-Deru Holocron(s). It'll be kind of our signature ability. To screw with enemy tech, Mwahaha.
 
Yeah Spynet's staying pretty much as-is.

I prefer to keep it a core of Techno Union members who do spying, as well as a disparate network of unaligned slicer, operatives, assassins etc so it'll stay as a minor faction.

we recently purchased a lot of Ty'rel Holding Ocelots for protection of worlds such as Roon, Hypori, Bothawui and Kamino.

Anyone want to dev thread the placement of these things? They'll make it so things that we don't want on our worlds won't get there.

If we're getting this in-depth with the infrastructure of the Techno Union, what if we did something like the Hutt Cartels and introduced our own "national" currency? Something like this, that honours the different blocks that we're founded on, and still retains that techno-money vibe. That's if we want paper money. If we want something more digital, this exists in the real world, and is a really cool concept. It handles multiple accounts, and could even make the transition between Republic Space/Everywhere Else and Techno Union Space easier.

Let's make this faction hit the galaxy hard, and let's let everyone else know we're serious about our jobs and we're here to stay.

We'd have to take steps to make sure whatever currency we come up with maintains good value in comparison to the Galactic Standard Credit. But, then again, currency is a weird thing in Star Wars with values that can vary just about everywhere. It'd be hard to implement and might cause some awkwardness, but good for fluff regardless.
 
We are in the Outer Rim after all, and Canon has basically indicated that this region is characterized by different currencies. (That, and the typical Galaxy had one or two dominant factions that decided the ruling currency, the Chaos Galaxy has so many of relatively equal strength that several currency types are warranted.)

So, I am in support of this.
