If Only You Serve Me

Hoth
Frost covered everything. It was to be expected here of all places. The snow world, where wars had been fought despite no one ever wanting to set foot on the surface. Perhaps that was the very reason these decimated ships laid preserved in their ruin. A planet where none wanted to be was a perfect place to hide. And once found, a perfect place to defend.

It was aboard a centuries old Star Destroyer that the man with red skin walked. Why was he here? Why was he on such a frozen wasteland that the years had forgotten? If the Force hadn't sent it's whispers, he never would have come here. The whispers of power, of a search, of fate. So he came, dressed in the simple mercenary clothing he had become known for, armed with only a simple red lightsaber on his hip.

Soon he would see why the Force saw fit to call him here.

[member="Bitis123"]

The cold shifted underneath his feet and his face was pelted by the frigid elements of the planet. It seemed also like yesterday when he fled the Jedi Temple with nothing but a handful of credits and his lightsaber. Talis had vowed to never act on impulse ever again, after all it was what got him into this mess in the first place. However, he felt a calling from the Force to travel into Hoth. Armed with his blue lightsaber from a previous life and clothed in a simple robe. He began his search......
Looking around, he saw the ruins and the remnant of a something great.....something powerful. An abandoned Star Destroyer decorated the remains of the battle that took place centuries ago. Again, Talis felt the calling of the Force, he was close to what the Force deemed the beginning of his destiny. He plodded along towards the Star Destroyer in high hopes. He felt a shiver going down his spine. Perhaps it was from the cold, fear or anticipation.....Perhaps it was a combination of all three.

[member="Darth Ferox"]

Another whisper met the ears of the Sith as he quickly realized he was not alone. So this was why he had come to this planet. Another prospect for the Sith to prey upon and take for themselves. Finding himself just beside a window that happened to look out just where [member="Bitis123"] made his way in, the Zabrak was able to see just what had come to such a dead world. A Jedi.

Or, perhaps a Jedi no longer.

Without delay Ferox made his way down to the lower levels, one hand by his side, the other grasping the hilt of the peculiar sword on his waist. Soon enough he would see if this new being was a potential friend, or a foe that needed to be put down.

Talis carefully walked into the Star Destroyer. He felt as he was being stalked and had felt a presence when he set foot on Hoth. He quickly twirled around but failed to see anything but snow. Talis quickly puled out and activated his lightsaber. The blue light spilled out and illuminated the dark hall ways. He continued to walk warily towards the presence with his lightsaber at the ready.

The sound of metal slipping against metal rang out within the snow. [member="Bitis123"] would see the red man stepping towards him with a dull blade in his hand, holding it down by his side. Even though the planet was already frigid, the cold seemed to get colder as he stepped forward. It was clear how attuned to the Dark this Zabrak was, yet he made no threatening motion despite his blade being out.

"Boy, why have you come here? A Jedi to this frigid world. Explain."

"Boy, why have you come here? A Jedi to this frigid world. Explain."

Talis quickly turned around to see the Zabrak Sith lord. The Force grew darker as the sith approached him. Talis casually glanced at the sith's sword and saw that it was held unthreateningly. However, Talis continued to hold his lightsaber upwards ready to counter any devious strikes that this mysterious sith can unleash. His eyes narrowed staring down the Zabrak.

"The Force has called me to this place or specifically to you. I am a Jedi or at least I was. I have come to seek power and guidance in the ways of the Force."

"The Force works in odd ways. Why would it send you to a Sith of all people though? We haven't been known to serve the Force very well, and more often than not we make it kneel to us." A chuckle followed as the Zabrak continued to step forward. The snap hiss signature to any Lightsaber filled the air as plasma curved around the dull blade, giving it it's lethal edge. "And power, that is taken boy. If you wish to learn, why not show me what you can do? Perhaps I can find it worth my time. If not, I can just kill you and be done with it."

Talis had expected a challenge from this sith lord. Talis smiled in anticipation holding out his lightsaber forward. A lightsaber duel was simply too easy and Talis planned to crush this arrogant Sith Lord beneath his feet in perhaps 10-15 minutes. Talis quickly spring forward with a lunge aimed at the Zabrak's chest. Talis knew the Sith Lord must be an experienced duelist so, he had to test out his opponent's defense. If the Zabrak was to block it then, Talis was to become more defensive and wait until the Sith has worn himself out. If the Zabrak was to dodge it, then Talis would press the offensive.

A brow raised as the boy came in for the charge. Confident then? Or foolish. Either way, it did not matter. Blue eyes turned to a deep red as the Force flowed openly through the Zabraks living body, enhancing his speed and strength to a level only a Lord of the Sith could attain. Constant practice and years of experience would come in handy against this ex Jedi. It was easy to see how well trained he was in his blade.

With a single hand Ferox brought his sword up to catch Talis's blade along his own. But it was with the other that he could outmaneuver the younger. A blast of the Force erupted from his palm as he blocked [member="Bitis123"] 's strike, a hint of a smile on his face. He may be good with a blade, but how was he with the Force itself?

Talis realized his mistake as he was sent reeling back from the Force push. He quickly steadied himself so he could land on his feet. Talis quickly analyzed the situation. Blocking that strike was a tendency of Djem So users but, somehow he managed to block his strike using only one arm. Perhaps cybernetics.....? This was obviously some highly experienced Sith Lord with cybernetic enhancements. This was not a battle that Talis could simply win through pure lightsaber usage. Talis causally glanced around his environment but saw nothing but snow...something clicked into his brain. He quickly ran out into the open and adopted a defensive stance. Talis couldn't overpower the Sith as seen with the Zabrak's usage of the force. If, Talis could not overpower him, perhaps he can trick him.... Playtime was over and he would not make the same mistake again.

Blue eyes only watched [member="Bitis123"] as he retreated into the snow. Usually he would keep on his prey, striking again and again true as any Djem So user would. But, curiosity stayed his blade. This Jedi, or exile now, made him ever so interested on what he actually could do. What was he planning to do out there in the snow? Hide and strike from the shadows perhaps? Very Assassin like, not so Jedi.

Perhaps use the snow to cover any trap he might make as the two fought. Much more Jedi like. Regardless, standing around wasn't going to progress this any farther. So off he went, barreling through the snow with a speed only born from the Force, his blade stabbing out in a much more Makashi like thrust. The Zabrak wasn't a one trick pony after all.

In a blink of an eye, the sith quickly crossed the distance between them. With little time to spare, Talis hit the siths blade slightly off to the right. The crimson red blade barely grazing his right shoulder. With little time to spare, Talis willed the force to send a jet of snowing the Zabraks's face. Hopefully the sith would be stunned allowing a qkick counter attack.

A wash of white was all Ferox could see as [member="Bitis123"] sent the jet of snow towards his face. There was little he could do in such a short amount of time to evade it, and instead of trying to do so he had to press on. Going on where he remembered Talis being the Zabrak struck out again, cutting through the snow with a single quick slash. It would be chest level, but without a target it was simply a wild strike based on a guess.

Talis had expected the Sith to back off momentarily but however, that was not the case. As Talis lunged forward at the Sith's chest, he caught a glimpse of the Sith's blade sailing at him. However, it was too late for him to dodge and the Sith's blade managed to bite into Talis's arm. Due to his damaged cybernetic arm, his lunge changed course and diverted towards the Sith's waist. If, his attack was to succeed, hopefully he could balance out his situation. Talis realized that the odds of the battle was already set up heavily against him. However, he was determined not to allow this Sith a quick and easy victory. With a quick splurge of energy, Talis quickly swiped his blade horizontally at the Sith's stomach.

Danger screamed through the Force as the Sith's blade bit into [member="Talis Jzora"] 's arm. What was about to be a victorious smile turned to grim determination as he was sure a strike was coming his way. His body tensed as he lept back, just in time to avoid being disemboweled. But not in time to avoid the sudden smell of burning flesh and a fresh sensation of pain. With a growl he continued backwards, one hand on his blade and the other off to his side as he prepared for the boys advance.

Talis was much more clever than the Zabrak had originally assumed.

Talis held the lightsaber to his left due to his damaged cybernetic right arm. It felt awkward using his left but, he was not entirely defenseless. He quickly stared over at [member="Darth Ferox"]. The Sith was wounded and this was the most opportune moment for an offensive. The Sith was obviously drawing on the strength of the Force and Talis simply did not have the time or energy to fight such a prolonged battle against this experienced Sith. Talis quickly walked up to the Sith and would attempt to send two quick light consecutive slashes on both sides of [member="Darth Ferox"]'s body. This could potentially weaken [member="Darth Ferox"] due to his constant movement of his gash. If weakened, perhaps, Talis could land a successful killing blow to the Sith. Talis was playing a dangerous game but, life itself is merely just a big gamble afterall.

A hiss erupted from the Sith as he continued to move back step by step, his saber moving defensively as he did so. Side to side he turned, pain searing into his mind as his body twisted. Thankfully the saber burned his wound shut, but it still hurt quite a bit. To a Sith one accepted pain readily and turned it to power. So as his blew eyes turned to a vivid blood red, [member="Talis Jzora"] would know that's exactly what the Lord was doing. As his gaze would fall on the boy, an unnatural sensation of fear would try to creep into Talis's mind. Force Fear, born of the eyes Ferox obtained from his ancestors. Like a snake the fear would try to slither around Jzora's mind and squeeze out any effort to fight.

Would the boy be able to continue?

Talis stared at the seemingly beaten Sith Lord arrogantly. As he prepared a lethal blow to the Sith's neck, he quickly froze. The Sith Lord's eyes have turned red, that didn't seem like a good sign. A sense of fear quckly entered his mind nearly paralyzing him. Talis simply couldn't counter this mind attack and he quickly dropped to his knees and nearly dropped his lightsaber. It continued to creap around his mind and seemed to strangle his very thoughts. Talis couldn't focus into the force but he barely managed a half-hearted force push in a last-ditch attempt to break [member="Darth Ferox"] concentration.

Finally, a moment to catch his breath. As the Dark Lord continued his death stare, he was finally able to regain his footing and his bearing. A deep sigh escaped his lips as the boy dropped down. The edge of his blade deactivated as he went to sheath the now dull rod, only to find [member="Talis Jzora"] blasting the Force once more at him. The Zabrak could only grit his teeth as he was pushed along the snow, barely able to keep his footing. Needless to say, the red eyes returned to their blue.

"Boy, this fight is over. Continue, and I will start removing body parts." The gaze of the Lord narrowed, his warning very clear. Talis's test was over to him, and anything more would be answered with appropriate force.

Talis quickly resigned to the Sith Lord and dropped his weapon. He was completely exhausted both physically and mentally. [member="Darth Ferox"] however seemed to have more energy and apparently more Force abilities. Talis kneeled before the Sith Lord......
