I've heard the same from a few sources. Nonetheless, what Selena said is true. There are other factions that could rise up and pose a threat to the galactic peace. And we'll be there to stop them. In the meanwhile...

Seeing as how we are closer in practice to the New Jedi order which were less black and white that is a compliment.

As for a corruption storyline I will say the same thing I always say. Try it out and have fun. There is no way of knowing if it will work one way or the other.

I think it would be interesting to see if any of the Sith writers would be interested to come over into the Republic and begin a bit of corrupting al la Palpatine, and have the Republic start to evolve away from it's democratic roots.

This is Arcturus Procyon. After the fall of the Sith Empire, Arcturus will return to the Republic as a Noble and a new figure on the political scene. His goal will be to use the Republic to destroy the Jedi, and then destroy the Republic. If you are worried, fear not this will be IC only.
