If your character dies then it's gone forever?

That sounds like a good idea to me :) Roll with it, and let me know if you need any help.

Oh, before I forget: see the '@Mention' bit beneath people's avatars? Click on that, and it'll create a link in the post that tags you - sends an announcement to that writer that someone's said something to/about them that you might want to look at.

Kerkov 'died' because he forgot what deflector shields were during Omega, a stray concussion missile took out his observation deck of all places on his massive battlecruiser. He thought about cloning in two weeks until he said 'the body wasn't found'.

I was in the midst of a Blackwing outbreak aboard my star destroyer and kind of cliffhanged it when the self destruct went off but ended up in an escape pod during the next thread.
That seems like a fair situation in my opinion to be honest. I mean it's happend before that someone escapes a sinking ship by an escape pod right before it explodes ^^

[member="Tirdarius"] Thank you. Well the only thing i'm really worried about right now is the background story since i love both ideas i've come up with so far. And i've had trouble writing his background story because i've wrote an entire background story for both the Rakghoul version, and the creature capturing mad doctor version. I think i'm going into way too many details with the background story. I'm telling everything from events that has happend to him so far that gained him his position, to when he was born and how his childhood was. Even when none of that stuff really matters that much for his back story. So i think i need to cut down on that. Oh and i think i did the mentioning thing right now?

Worked perfectly. Best to always use it when replying to someone's post - ICly AND OOCly.

As for backstory...start by figuring out where he was born, what got him into science, where he trained, what got him involved in Raghoul research, and you can add in the 'mad scientist' stuff ICly: make it something you develop with your writing.
