Ilik Gred was once an Mando'ad'jetii for Clan Gred, but during one stressful battle something changed. A close friend of his was slain in a fight against some pirates, which sent him into a rage. He killed them all in anger, not leaving any alive. This caused him to fall to the Dark Side. When he finally realized the extent of what had happened months after the event, the young Mandalorian tried to recenter himself. After failing, he felt like he only had one option. The man separated himself from the Force, leaving him Force Dead.
It took Ilik a long time to finally recover, even with the influence of the Force gone. Once he had finally picked himself back up, Ilik made the decision to become a Baar'ur to save the lives of others instead of taking them, though the effects of his fall have never fully left him.
