High

[ Provide a Security Rating (choose from: None, Low, Medium, High, Maximum) and any specific security assets in list format. What defenses does this location have, including internal and external defenses? Please note that the rating is relative to the type of location this is. A civilian shipyard will have a different scope in security, compared to a military shipyard. This should highlight the components of the shipyard itself, such as defensive shields or blaster turrets. There should not be entire armies or fleets detailed within the submission. Nor should it have enough armaments to destroy an opposing fleet. The security listed should reflect the model presented earlier in the submission. Shipyards with custom defenses not standard in a canon model and without a Factory submission will be referred to Factory. Please link rare or uncommon tech/equipment to the SW wiki article or Factory-approved submission. Common canon items do not need to be linked.
Note: You may also include or reference associated assets that are not attached to the shipyard, such as security patrols, but it should not be so comprehensive as to detail a specific army or fleet. The focus of this submission is the shipyard. If you need to codify an Army or Fleet you must utilize the correct Lore Template. You can then link it accordingly.]

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
[ Include a description on the shipyard's history here. Include who created it and why. Who supports this shipyard now? What purpose did/does it serve? For older shipyards you can include historical events from the Chaos Canon timeline or board history where appropriate. ]

Serving as an extension of the Imperial Military's structure, IMPERA wields significant power within the Dark Empire which is wielded to ensure that the Military can achieve it's goals effectively as possible in order to advance the Dark Empire's overreaching goals within the Galaxy.
IMPERA is split divided into several sub-organizations all of whom answer to Joint Chiefs of Staff, which serve as the organization's ruling body. The members of Joint Chiefs of Staff consist of the heads of the various sub-divisions of IMPERA and together they guide the orginization in order to accomplish the goals IMPERA has set out to accomplish. These sub-divisions include : The Army Command and Naval Command, the Department of Civilian Administration, the Scientific Advancement Bureau, the Imperial Diplomatic Corps, and the Observation Corps. The Joint Chiefs of Staff are headed by the Warlord of the Empire who answers directly to the Supreme Commander and Military Executor, while simultaneously holding a seat within the Imperial Ruling Council. Underneath the Warlord of the Empire is the Allegiant General who often acts at the behest of the Warlord of the Empire as his second-in-command and often delegates the Warlord's duties to lesser functionaries when needed.

It is spearheaded by a council of senior naval commanders led by the Grand Admiral of the Imperial Navy who also acts as the Chief of Staff of the Imperial Navy.
Department of Civilian Administration | Is the branch of IMPERA who are responsible for overseeing and maintaining the Industry and Logistics of the Imperial Military in order to ensure that it can continue to operate with maximum efficiency for future military operations. In addition to this, the Department of Civilian Administration possesses it's own Military Police Force known as the Imperial Inspectorate while also wielding oversight and control over various Imperial-aligned collaborationist paramilitary groups who collectively hold the dual purpose of protecting key infrastructural assets of the Imperial Military while also enforcing the laws established by the individual members of the Diet of Imperial Planetary Governors. It is spearheaded by a committee of both military and civilians officials and are lead by the General-Inspector.
Scientific Advancement Bureau | Is a branch of IMPERA that is responsible for the research and development of military technology such as equipment, small arms, facility components, and armed starships for the Imperial Military while also holding oversight over all other scientific, technological and biotic research within the Empire that may be of use for future applications within the Imperial Military. It also ensures that such technologies and research remain under Imperial control and far from the reach of other groups of interests who might seek to utilize it against the Empire and Imperial interests. It is spearheaded by a collection of scientists, researchers and engineers and are led by the Chief Scientist.
Imperial Diplomatic Corps | Is a branch of IMPERA that functions as a diplomatic body for the Empire, bringing new worlds into the Empire and enforcing the principles of the Empire as decreed by the Emperor, the Ruling Council and the Planetary Governors, often deploying ambassadors and negotiators to hostile worlds to ensure that the occupied populations adhere to the mandates of the Imperial Government in order to reduce the necessity for pacification by force while also overseeing negotiations and talks with governments and large corporations. It is spearheaded by a collection of diplomats and bureaucrats led by a TBD.
Observation Corps | Is a branch of IMPERA that is responsible for collecting information, secret and otherwise, for the Imperial Military, serving as the Military's counterpart to the Imperial Security Bureau. The Observation Corps makes use of covert operations to spy on its enemies as well as itself and other elements of the Empire. They are also responsible for watching the activities of various governments, corporations and other forces in the galaxy while also keeping an eye out for any notable mercenary, bounty hunters and other outlaw activities for one of it's Paramilitary subdivisions known as the Unit. In addition to all of this, they also supply any vital information to the various branches in the Imperial Military regarding any potential targets and strategies which also make them a valuable asset for military operations despite being absent from the frontlines. GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Unit Name: IMPERA Security Trooper
  • Affiliation: Dark Empire | IMPERA | Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen
  • Classification: Security Trooper
  • Description: The IMPERA Security Trooper is a specialization of Imperial Army Troopers attached to IMPERA as a permanent standard security force in order to both protect IMPERA locations and assets while also enforcing the mandates imposed by the Imperial Government Agency. IMPERA Security Troopers are mostly comprised of both conscripts and volunteers from across the galaxy, provided with extensive training and adequately equipped in order to carry out their mission. While the Security Troopers are not as zealous as the Marine Commandos or SpecNav Commandos, they are still plentiful and dedicated fighters that should by no means be underestimated in the battlefield.
COMBAT INFORMATION:
STRENGTHS:
  • Well-Equipped | IMPERA Security Troopers are well equipped, having been provided with a sufficient amount of resources necessary to fulfill their combat function while on the field
  • Basic Training | IMPERA Security Troopers receive simple basic combat training, sufficient enough to make them an effective combat unit on the battlefield.
  • Easy to Replace | Given their simple purpose and the basic training they receive, IMPERA Security Troopers are quite easy to replace owing to the vast amount of available manpower that the Empire can draw from for conscription.
WEAKNESS:
  • Limited Equipment | IMPERA Security Troopers are given the bare minimum of resources needed to effectively accomplish their objectives and as such they can often find themselves being outgunned when facing enemy units with heavier equipment at their disposal.
  • Low Combat Experience | Owing to their basic and minimal training, IMPERA Security Troopers can find themselves outmatched when facing enemy units with a greater degree of combat experience then them.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

In the wake of the Dark Empire's offensive into the Deep Core, the Warlord of the Empire Marlon Sularen would come to the important realization that while the Empire in it's current state had appeared to gain the upper hand over it's rivals in the Core Worlds, it's position in the Deep Core and within the Galaxy at large was tenuous especially with various groups both large and small starting to act against the Empire whether they were aligned with the Galactic Alliance or not. In response to this, the Grand Admiral would proceed to begin work on further strengthening the Imperial Navy while also laying the groundwork for the creation of a major project : IMPERA or the Imperial Military, Planning, Execution, and Resource Administration.

As part of this initiative, the Imperial Warlord would begin transferring many of the assets he had previously commanded as the High Regent of the Final Dawn into the framework of the Dark Empire's Imperial Navy as seen during the occupation of Onderon and the Battle over Tython. However, once the Dark Empire established a foothold in the Deep Core, Sularen would take this to the next step moving forth to reorganize these assets into new units that would operate directly under the Imperial Navy. Among these units would be the IMPERA Security Trooper, a class of elite security troopers established by the Imperial Warlord

Under the Dark Empire, the IMPERA Security Trooper would serve as a specialized security force directly attached to IMPERA acting as both a means to protect IMPERA assets while also simultaneously enforcing the mandates imposed by IMPERA both within and beyond Imperial borders. Through the IMPERA Security Troopers, the Warlord of the Empire hopes to bring the Dark Empire one step closer towards securing it's future and ensure the eradication of all those who seek the downfall of the Empire.

  • Classification: Listening Post
  • Location: Karavis, Outer Rim Territories
  • Affiliation: Dark Empire | IMPERA | Iron Sun Intelligence
  • Population: Heavy
  • Demographics: Predominately Human and Non-Human with a significant amount of supplementary Automated Personnel with most of the Outpost's personnel being personnel from the Imperial Navy, IMPERA's Observation Corps and Iron Sun Intelligence.
  • Accessibility: The Karavis Outpost is located within the largest and highest mountain range on Karavis, far away from the industrial sites scattered across the planet being only accessible by air as a result. Given it's strategic location near the Braxant Run and immense value to the Dark Empire, the listening post is heavily guarded with access only allowed for authorized Imperial personnel. Unless one has the exact coordinates to the listening post, which itself is difficult to acquire due to the secrecy of the site, locating the listening post can be an extremely difficult and near-impossible task given the size of the mountain range.
  • Description: The Karavis Outpost is a listening post established by the Dark Empire hidden deep within the largest and highest mountain range on Karavis. It is largely comprised of a series of military complexes each featuring a large relay dish, hangars and various anti-aircraft guns with additional internal facilities established to house a large garrison of soldiers to protect the facility. Through the Karavis Outpost, the Dark Empire has been able to amplify it's communications in the region, enabling it to establish a strong and extensive detection screen that would encompass all six sectors surrounding the Jaemus Sector to conduct large-scale monitoring of transmissions and fleet movements from the Diarchy as a means of keeping their expansion in check.
POINTS OF INTEREST
  • Administrative Station : The Administrative Center is the heart of the Karavis Outpost, containing the command center of the entire outpost along with housing most of it's personnel, containing the barracks, the armory, a cafeteria, recreational facilities and a large hangar bay. From here the entire Outpost is overseen and managed and it's from here that defenses are usually scrambled in order to protect the other two major complexes that make up the Outpost.
  • Relay Station Aurek: Relay Station Aurek is one of the two communication relay stations that make up the rest of the Karavis Outpost, containing a large relay dish which is active 24/7 and utilized primarily to monitor the fleet movements in the surrounding sectors via the monitoring of transmissions.
  • Relay Station Besh : Relay Station Besh is the second of the two communication relay stations that make up the Karavis Outpost, also containing a large relay dish which is active 24/7 and utilized to conduct large-scale information dissemination throughout the surrounding sectors.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

After the emergence of the Diarchy as a galactic power and the subsequent skirmish between Imperial and Diarchy forces at Entralla and Munnilinst, the Warlord of the Empire Marlon Sularen sought to contain the expansion of the Diarchy at all costs viewing them as an immediate threat to the Empire now that the Diarchy was threatening to force the Empire in a two-front war. After meetings with Moff Antipater and Allegiant-General Mordane, the Imperial Warlord would begin executing his long-envisioned "Jaemus Initiative", a program aimed at strengthing the Empire's presence on Jaemus, which was where Moff Antipater was based and which was viewed by Sularen as a possible means to keep the Diarchy in check.

As part of the preliminary step towards accomplishing "Jaemus Initiative", a military expedition was sent to Karavis in order to survey a suitable location for a military outpost that the Dark Empire could erect. Eventually the Empire would choose a site located within Karavis's largest and highest mountain range for it's envisioned outpost, with the mountain's elevation and treacherous terrain enabling it to remain hidden from the Diarchy once the planet would inevitably fall under their sphere of influence. Soon enough, the Empire would begin the construction of the site, working tirelessly to complete the outpost before the Diarchy moved in to claim the Jaemus Sector.

Once the Outpost was complete, the necessary personnel and military assets were inserted into the Outpost which would begin operations to fulfill it's ultimate purpose as a listening post for the Dark Empire that it could expand their detection screen further into the Diarchy's space, conduct large-scale information dissemination and keep track of the Diarchy's fleet movements via the monitoring of their transmissions. Through the Karavis Outpost, the Dark Empire would be able to remain two steps ahead of the Diarchy ready to counteract any moves they made and enforce it's rightful mandate over the entirety of the New Territories.

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
SETTING INFORMATION
  • Military Base Name: Fort Comark
  • Classification: Military Base
  • Location: Jaemus
  • Affiliation: Dark Empire | IMPERA
  • Population: Heavy
  • Demographics: Predominately Human and Near-Human with a small amount of supplementary Automated Personnel with most of the Base's personnel having been drawn from the Imperial Navy
  • Accessibility: Fort Comark is located within the most treacherous mountainous region of Jaemus with most of the base hidden underground with the only way to access it being by air. In addition to this, it positioned far away from most of Jaemus's urban centers with the closest one being Diadochron some six hundred clicks away. Owing to it's status as a secret Imperial base, Fort Comark is heavily guarded being accessible to authorized Imperial personnel only. Any intruders found within the base's perimeter are shot on sight n order to maintain the secrecy of the Imperial operation there.
  • Description: Fort Comark is a secret underground military base currently operated by the Dark Empire on the Outer Rim world of Jaemus. Established on the former site of a former Helix Syndicate Maximum Security Prison, Fort Comark consists of nine subterranean levels with the only above-ground feature being the concealed doors to the only means to access the facility, an underground Venator-style Hangar. Through Fort Comark, the Dark Empire is able to maintain a presence on Jaemus albeit secretly providing it with the means to quickly reinforce the Imperial-aligned city of Diadochron should it fall under hostile attack
POINTS OF INTEREST
  • Sub-Level A [Hangar] : Located deep within Jaemus's most treacherous mountainous region is the Hangar of Fort Jomark which serves as the only entry and exit point to the facility. Originally it originally consisted of a simple above-ground landing pad and was used to register, process, examine and freeze newly arrived prisoners when Fort Jomark was once a prison. However it has since been converted into a large Venator-style underground flight deck featuring large armored bow doors with part of the mountain terrain attached on the top of it. These doors can open and close enabling Fort Comark to launch starships albeit at the cost of temporarily exposing the location of the facility.
  • Sub-Levels B-E : The next four levels underneath the Hangar are dedicated to the personnel stationed there featuring various facilities such as armories, recreation centers, barracks, training facilities and more. Compared to the original prison facility, the armories and barracks have been vastly expanded while various new training facilities and other facilities were added to accommodate the additional amount of personnel. Sub-Level C is where the central command center of Fort Comark is located where the entire facility is monitored through various security systems and protection systems.
  • Sub-Levels F-I : These three levels are dedicated to the storage and maintenance of the Droid Units utilized by the Dark Empire as an auxiliary security force meant to further support the organic soldiers of the facility. Originally they served to hold carbon-frozen prisoners with 1,600 prisoners held per level with each level being split into 10 rooms of 160 racks of carbonite-frozen prisoner. The new layout of Fort Comark follows this system with the Battle/Security Droids stored there instead of carbon-frozen prisoners where they are maintained and charged at all times, ready for deployment whenever the Empire desires it.
  • Sub-Level 0 : Located between Levels A and B is a specialized room accessible only through a hidden turbulent from Level A. This room contains a variety of highly advanced equipment connected to a series of hidden relay dishes scattered throughout the mountainous region of Jaemus. This allows the Dark Empire to maintain a listening post on the planet that will allow them to intercept, decrypt and record communications sent throughout the planet.

As part of the preliminary step towards properly launching the "Jaemus Initiative", efforts were undertaken to establish a secret military base on Jaemus near Moff Antipater's seat of power of Diadochron which the Empire could utilize as a means to support his regime against outside threats such as local rival factions and even the Diarchy itself should they attempt to remove Antipater from his seat of power. Finding the long abandoned underground maximum security prison once operated by the Helix Syndicate, the Empire excavated the site before taking it over and beginning a long process of restoring and renovating it soon transforming the former prison into their desired secret military base from which they could station a small garrison that could keep watch over Moff Antipater's holdings and the developments going on throughout Jaemus.

With the completion of the secret base now dubbed Fort Comark, the Empire now possesses a foothold on Jaemus enabling it to contest any future attempts made by the Diarchy to expand their sphere over Jaemus in order to secure the future of Moff Antipater's Jaemus Directory and ensure that Imperial interests on the planet are safeguarded against the Diarchy's expansion in the long-run.
