As the brave soldiers of the Remnant venture on, ready to bring peace and stability to a galaxy in chaos, many among their ranks will perform great acts of valor and heroism in the heat of battle. In order to recognize these incredible contributions on the road to interstellar security, and by the grace of our benevolent Emperor [member="Tanomas Graf"] (should he approve), High Command has authorized and commissioned a number of decorations to be issued to these champions of the Empire. The preliminary list, subject to the Emperor's approval, is as follows.
Ground Combat Medals:
Imperial Badge of Merit: Awarded for exceptional conduct in a single ground engagement.
Imperial Medal of Resolution: Awarded for exceptional conduct in several (2-3) ground battles, or for performing above and beyond the call of duty to bring about a conclusive Remnant victory in a single ground engagement.
Imperial Grand Medal of Resolution: Awarded for exceptional conduct throughout a multi-battle (3-5) ground campaign, or for single-handedly turning the tide of a ground battle in the Remnant's favor.
Hero of the Empire: Awarded for truly exceptional long-term service to the Imperial Army, or for ending an existential threat to the Empire (such as a siege of the capital or an attempt on the life of the Emperor).
Space Combat Medals:
Distinguished Flight Medal: Awarded for exceptional conduct in a single space engagement.
Imperial Medallion of Service: Awarded for exceptional conduct in several (2-3) space battles, or for performing above and beyond the call of duty to bring about a conclusive Remnant victory in a single space engagement.
Nova Star Medal of the Empire: Awarded for exceptional conduct throughout a multi-battle (3-5) space campaign, or for single-handedly turning the tide of a space battle in the Remnant's favor.
Medal of the Emperor's Fist: Awarded for truly exceptional long-term service to the Imperial Army, or for ending an existential threat to the Imperial Fleet (such as a devastating ambush or an attack on a major shipyard).
Medals for Bravery Under Fire:
Medal of Valor: Awarded for acting bravely under fire to save the life of a comrade.
Silver Valor Medal: Awarded for acting bravely under fire to save the lives of multiple comrades. Also awarded for persisting in securing an area or achieving an objective despite heavy casualties or severe personal injuries.
Medal of Conspicuous Gallantry: Awarded for leadership under fire, rallying Imperial forces and leading by example despite the danger.
Order of Glory: Awarded for truly exceptional bravery and heroism in the face of overwhelming odds.
Command Medals:
Gilded Sun: Awarded for excellent strategy and coordination of Imperial forces in a single engagement.
Galactic War on Insurgency Medal: Awarded for excellent strategy and leadership throughout a short campaign.
Imperial Medal of Honor: Awarded for excellent strategy and leadership throughout a long campaign.
Distinguished Medal of Imperial Honor: Awarded for an exceptional command career, for achieving through excellent strategy a crushing defeat of the Remnant's enemies, or for rescuing Remnant forces from disaster through powerful leadership.
The Highest Honor:
Emperor's Will: Awarded to personal agents of the Emperor for truly exceptional service to expand and preserve the Empire.
As the Remnant military continues to bring order to the worlds of the galaxy, campaign-specific decorations may be added (subject to the Emperor's approval) to recognize participants in individual pacifications and defenses of Imperial worlds.
