IMPORTANT: Faction Direction and Leader Discussion(CHECK IN)

Christian Slade

In Darkness I Thrive
It would seem that our fearless leader has abandoned us. I briefly spoke with Tefka to see if we could contact him and he suggested that we discuss continuing without him and go over options for getting a different leader for this council.

Please check in with any information that you might have on this subject and let us know that you are still around and active. It will let us know who all still wishes to make this faction work. Also please voice your opinions on who you think should lead this faction on to better days so that we might have a vote and see what everyone thinks.

Stand up and be heard, all of you.

I'd suggest an official vote with both a poll and a required post indicating the name of the one each individual is voting for.

However, I would suggest Krupp as he has that kind of "Palpatine" feel to his character concept.

I've been away for a bit--can somebody tell me what has happened?

Also, OOC spying? Oh goddammit, I was hoping this wasn't that kind of forum...Why do people always have to take RPs so seriously?

[member="Darth Iscariot"] left when he ran out of things to do, from what l can tell. And so now, we have no leader. My thoughts would be one of the Council members (Sith Lords) take the OOC reigns, and the Dark Lord just become a shadow figurehead. Although I can't say who would be best, as I haven't been here long enough to know those in power or who would be best suited.

I'm not worried about who leads the faction as long as it's someone who cares enough to actually do the job. Krupp is a good suggestion, but I don't know that we can have someone who isn't the rank of Master leading us. I'd also be interested in having some sort of shadow'd figure lead us that goes on nameless while the council actually leads the faction, but either way we'd still need to have someone lead the faction OOCly.

Could always have him be the political face and elect a Sith Lord such as yourself for the other side of things. If that makes any sense. But yeah, we need an OOC owner/leader now.

That would be fine too, I just want you the people to come together and discuss this and then we can have a vote on what direction should be taken.

I think Krupp would be fantastic, but still I believe we need a Sith Lord to be an actual leader for TSC. So naturally, we should pick from one of our Sith Lords/Masters.

What would you do if elected as leader of TSC, [member="Christian Slade"]?

I would declare our the ways of the dark side a religion above all and separate religion from state. I would appoint Krupp the political leader and representative of our Council and I would govern the Council from the shadows as Lord if you would have me as our Leader, Paega.

[member="Assadar Ilrast"] There is, and, in fact, the Sith started as a religion of the species, was influenced by the fallen members of the Order, and became the Empire that started the Great Hyperspace War. The Vong have one as well, bit it's not a force tradition, or at least not a logical one. Most Force traditions started as religions, and grew into what we know today. Or still are one.

I won't complain who's in charge as long as they stay active.

The belief in the force is the Religious equivalent for star wars when compared to ours. It's a metaphor for the unknown and power beyond our own mortal limitation.

Simply put, Paega, I would lead. There's no point in having a Council of Sith to guide us in our decision making if I don't allow them the responsibility. I would start by appointing a Council of either 9 or 11 so that in the event of a vote we have an odd number in order to avoid a stalemate. Then I would take to my responsibilities OOC in order to keep our faction fresh and growing. In my opinion, our first order of business is to recruit and bolster activity.

So it seems. Should we go back minor for a while, recover our strength, and train in silence until we can hold our own even when/if we loose another leader? Or just stay as we are, and continue to sit in our unpopulated corner and get as many as we can to come to us?

I'll continue to support this for as long as I can, but Ashe is a Mandalorian now so that may raise personal conflicts of interest in the future.

Recruiting to bolster activity sounds like an excellent idea. Question is, how are we going to go about doing this? I suggest that we all keep on the look-out for Force Users that are potential Sith so that we can have them join us instead of some other Sith faction.
