Improving the Lightsaber

I'm trying to compile of a list of all known lightsaber countermeasures. Anything from the EU, or used here on Chaos is fine. Examples include exotic metals, projectiles, alchemical weapons, biotech, etc. It is my hope that I can develop some improvements on the lightsaber to keep up with the tech being developed to counter them. If you have anything to contribute to that venture, or if there are already some fixes out there, then please don't hesitate to provide input.

Dependency really. Lots of the Jedi feel naked without their lightsaber. Disarmed, a Jedi is still a potent enemy but many characters lack that realization during PvP.

I think one of the best ways to improve the lightsaber is to broaden your arsenal. Lessen your dependency upon a singular magic tool. ...I'm not saying don't optimize for saber combat. Just, broaden your approach to combat a little. Heck, bring a few synthetic-crystal lightsabers along next time or just add a knife in your boot.

As for cultural countermeasures go? Phrik Fullplate. Hate that stuff. Lol. :D

[member="Jerry Mars"] I agree wholeheartedly with your assessment. That's why Uther makes use of guns, and other items that takes advantage of other aspects of his power, like throwing knives. Even Obi Wan wasn't shy to using a blaster every now and then to deal with difficult opponents like Grievous or the Mandos (they worked him over, a lot). Still, it never hurts to continuing on improving the design. Thank you for your input.
