In A Time Past, There was a Master...

(Don't know the layout of the training grounds. So I'm imagining a massive arena with sand, rocks, pillars, etc.)

Zander found himself among the sands of the Training Grounds of the Grey, old Battle Droids he had used to long ago surrounding him, all holding E-11 Blaster Rifle's. With a flourish, Zander batted, swat, swiped, and knocked back shots as they came his way.

Currently there was only a minute amount of danger, for of the 6 present, only 2 were firing, but it was still beautiful the way he moved. Dancing along with little to nothing covering his form, sweat dripped openly, showing he had been at it for a time now.

Bashing a blast that neared his left flank mid spin, he allowed his redirection to hurl the glowing plasma back where it came from, thus taking off the head of the droid.

Shifting stances now, Zander moved into a talent he had long ago learned and Mastered: Sokan combined with Ataru. Flipping his blade into a dual hold, held close to his torso which was slightly turned, with both legs at about shoulder distance apart, he paused for the barest of seconds, then flipped into the air. Swiping the blade of his gifted saber, it cleaved one droids in half.

Now the game really began. All the rest of the droids started to bob and move, knowing that this began the next phase of training: they had to survive an ex-Master's onslaught. For while his skills were rustic, and his power was no where near the equivalent it once was, his memories still shown through. He was a deadly fighter.

Sweeping his body three sixty, while his leg was outstretched to keep his body low to the ground, Zander turned the spin into a roll that took him from the cover of the barely falling droid body.

Grabbing the rifle that was now on the ground, he hurled it towards his next opponent as a distraction then took a leap into the air, following suit.

Shots surrounding his form, Zander hurled his saber through the air, cutting through where the ammunition pack attached to the tossed weapon was located. Yanking it back towards himself with the aid of the Force, Zander caught it just in time to fly through the resulting blast, catching the droid off guard. Slashing in a quick Z formation, he took off the head, cleaved from shoulder to hip, then back to amputate the legs.

Then he dove into yet another roll, to never remain in one position.

Alexandra came up behind him as he dove away, staring at the back of his head when she finally spoke with a confused and surprised tone. "When did you get back..." She smiled, purposefully doing it to throw the man off of his training, looking at the droids that he had destroyed with a exaggerated pout. "Great, thats going to take me all day to fix..." The droids would have stopped shooting, but only for a second and she smiled as she bent down over them. "Continue." While she looked at the droids that had been destroyed, the other droids would begin to fire again, Alexandra almost appearing to not notice the middle of the training session. That was the point though, this man was an ex-master, and as such she expected him to not worry about her... but just incase she had one of the droids aim at her like it was going to shoot and another wait for him to try and stop it. For all intents and purposes it would shoot, but only on Alex's command. IF he did go after it though, he would find th other one shooting at his back instantly.

Like the acrobatic duelist he was, Zander flipped over the body of the one aiming at his ally, and swept his saber clean through the torso, allowing the momentum to carry full around, bashing the blaster shot that came his way. It was reflected harmlessly off to the side, while Zander eyed the woman ahead of him calling loudly, "Cease training."

"Whether you trust the machines or me, either really, you should not put yourself in danger.." He said calmly.

She yanked out a cord and frowned. "Hmm..." Stuffing it in her cloak she turned and held out a remote. "Remote switch, it wouldn't have fired until i pressed the button, im not stupid my friend, and i am glad you show a care for me. By the way, when did you return to the order, i seem to have missed that fact in my studying and maintaining... plus the fact we had to move again annoyed me..."

Zander shrugged, "Only recently. Left for a while to handle some family business. Now I am back to the only one who seems to have no issues training me to my old level of power." He said with a smile, looking at Alexandra with a cocked eyebrow, "By the by, would you mind helping me to reach Knighthood again? Maybe from then Master-dom will be easier."

"Zander, you insult me thinking i wouldn't teach someone to become strong and handle their own powers. Kinda the whole point of my existence you very naive man... was about to say boy but i have a feeling you are two or three times my age, plus if i can get you back up to your former strength we can continue the fight we started all that time long long ago on Bastion. Emperor Ardik stepping in saved my ass then though i am curious if i could handle you now in my current state... but first that requires you requiring your power you held before."

Zander chuckled, then laughed out right, "When it comes to age, which yours I do not know, it might be very true. I have now lived more then the average human will ever see. And on the note of our battle, once I return myself to the power I had, we can test ourselves like no other. But until then, I fear it would be minimal issue for you to decimate me the way I am.

"I could always call in backup, but that is not to say that I would win, as even then I am sure I would still lose." He said, his smile unfading. It had taken a lot for him to recognize that he was no longer the proud person he once was, that he could acknowledge his weaknesses and admit to them.

"What should we do to train then?"

"Well, you seemed to have a lot of fun fighting programmed targets, how about showing me first hand what you can still do. I think it would be better for me to have a first hand experience on watching how you channel the force and how you move, and after all i can see things a bit better than most people." She smiled, sure she prided her ability on being able to watch how the force was being manipulated and channeled, but it was something she had spent so much time trying to improve she had created a way to actually see one's connection to the force itself by leaving her body.

Zander cocked his head to the side; just as the woman, he had spent a long time knowing how to see the Force and its many connections, thanks to his Miraluka genetics. But how did she wish to see his abilities? He could do so much, and show nothing, so he decided to ask, "How will I show you? Attack you? Lift something? Use my Cloak?"

"Now where is the fun in telling you what i mean, i do suggest though that if you do attack me that you don't hold back, it would be a shame to know you were holding back on me just because i am you poor old defenseless teacher..." She smiled and turned her head to the side as she whistled, her hands crossing up and behind her neck before whistling and turning her back. Her eyes slowly closing as she breathed in and centered herself. Then she just stood there, doing absolutely nothing.

Zander cocked his head to the side a moment, smiled, then conjured something he had used a few times before in his many lives, a ball of bent light that ended in it turning to a brilliant flash that could blind any not expecting it. With this hopeful tactic of distraction, Zander swept his saber at the back of the woman's left leg.

It wouldnt be a deadly blow, but he hoped that when she spun, the light would blind her for just long enough that the attack could succeed in scraping her leg muscle.

She did turn and as her blade clashed onto his her face met his with a smile on it. Her eyes remained closed as she spoke to him with her blade on his. "Been a while since we last fought, and while even with my eyes are closed and looking through the force that is bright, i have a surprise for you." Her hand rose and she did the exact same thing as a bright light left her own hand point blank into his face. Hoping to take his sight and force him to do as she did, after all she knew he could.

A single moment, her fortelling of her attack, made him clamp his eyes tight. The light though was even brighter than his own, shining through his eyelids until he saw red. Ceasing the battle for most dominant spotlight, Zander dropped his hold on the ball of light and it ceased to be, while simultaneously he drew his saber up into the Ataru starting stance. Lunging forward, eyes still closed against the lights sheen, Zander swung at where her hand was located; just as he had before said, he could sense her now thanks to the fact she was still emanating Force energies.

He wondered a moment if she would be able to see him without him using them himself.

She pulled it back and twisted her hand and body to meet the saber as she still looked at him for a few seconds, eyes still closed. "Come now Zander, you should know that i am not looking at your force signature, you may have shut it off but i am looking at the flow of the force and its ties to life itself... you are still living after all, are you not?" The light in her unarmed hand disappeared and as second saber dropped from her sleeve into her hand. "Continue."

Sander chuckled, "That is actually one of my main tracking techniques. I should have realized you could do the same." Reaching against his upper bicep, Zander tickled at a spot beneath his shirt sleeve, from which slid his Amphistaff, which he had yet to name surprisingly. Moving to his hand, he gripped it loosely as it draped to the ground in its whip form.

Lunging forward once more, Zander swung a blow at the woman's left leg, meanwhile swinging the whip in a large circle over his head, before bringing it back down with a large snap. The tip was aimed to graze the ladies cheek.

He was growing agitated. Missing being a deadly opponent was driving him to such.

She smiled and moved to get over that blow but the cut across her cheek only registered as pain for a second before that pain disappeared. "Good... Now faster." She began to appear to vibrate as she pushed the force into her body and moved, his movements unless he matched her speed would be like they were in slow motion as her smiled grew wider. She would move under and around what ever strike came next (If you didn't match her speed) before aiming a kick into the side of his gut, pushing the force through her leg as she pretty much did a force push with her foot instead of her hand.

Zander was surprised by her speed, finding it slightly above his own. Thanks to his newest additive to the genetic pool that was his makeup, Zander knew full well how to utilize agility, as it was a genetic trait for the Tera Vampir. When the kick came towards the man, it was strictly his near matched speed, and body reading, that allowed him to guess where the blow would come, and dodged it accordingly...

Or so he thought. By stepping slightly to the side, and backwards, he avoided the physical blow, but then came the Push which launched him into the air. Keeping his bearing, as free fall was a known thing, Zander reached out with the whip in hopes to rap its long band around her torso, while hurtling his saber at the woman.

He would not admit the difficulty breathing that he felt was from the blow she had thrown his way. He would need to reseason his body into being the weapon it once was.

Alexandra smiled as she moved her saber into the way of the whip and reached out with the saber, stopping it in the air assuming he didn't push it harder. She would be smiling though as she began to talk. "Zaiden, or Zander now right? Either way, you have no idea how much stronger than you believe yourself to be, i think ive gathered enough information to make a decent picture on where you are still with your power so how about we begin the real training. Until you can cut me, through any means, we do not leave this room. I will have food brought to the training room in the case this takes several days and you will be allowed six hours of sleep every day and a break to eat or rest during the days. But neither of us will leave the room until you are able to draw blood." With that she would push his saber back to him slowly and deactivate her saber to let the whip fall to the ground before reaching down and grabbing at both her sabers now. "Shall we begin?"

Zander paused, eyeing his opponent, breathing deeply to slow the quake that ran in his lungs. He had multiple options to come in with attacks, high or low, using the whip to wrap around from behind. But they all would likely be blocked, so he would need to attempt his oldest skills, stealth. If he could attack with a hidden blow, it could land.

Finally with even breathing, Zander lashed out with his saber, swift and powerful. The game was now speed, so he used the best he had, amplifying it with the Force. First came a blow to the midsection, then another reverse around to the top - at her shoulder - while he held it in a reverse grip. Next, switching it hold, Zander sought to sweep a strike at her opposite arm.

Meanwhile, Zander wrapped his whip in the strongest Cloak he could - hoping with the struggle of blocking his blows that it would be difficult to see through the Ex Stealth Masters strike - as it wrapped up to slash around into her back.

She did keep an eye on the whip but his strikes kept her from tracking it while it was in its stealthed state, causing her to curse internally. If he continued this way she would never see if it was coming in itself so when the first strike came in both her hands came out with her sabers and put it into the cross of the two blades, once more when the saber reversed. He was stalling with these, and she knew it, but the whip could not be tracked right now, so she did the next best thing, she watched his hand.

The body gave you more hints on a person's actions than the eyes, hell it was even more true that you could read a person's actions before they even make them if you looked close enough. But she didn't need that, she simply needed the crack in his wrist and then her feet kicked off the ground as her she came over him and smiled. She wasn't sure if he could still her with the whip with her flipping over him, but it would come to find otu in what happens next. A gamble but the only one she could think of in that instant.
