In Wild Space: Are You A Pirate Or Survivor? [Open To All]

"Alright, then let's go find..."

[member="RC-1047"]'s blaster was pointed at the noise before Barney could even react. He jumped back, wincing as the action jostled his arm. He looked out from beyond the Clone's shoulder, mouth agape at [member="Zai Avery"].

He identified himself as a survivor of the Tisza, and Barnabas relaxed slightly.

"That was quick." Barney stepped out from behind the soldier, a relieved grin on his face. He nudged Casper on the shoulder, releasing a miasma of calming pheromones. "We are, too. I'm Barney, and this is RC-..."

The Zeltron thought a moment, straining his brain for an answer he didn't remember.

"This is Casper," he finally relented.

Barnabas showed his broken arm, and the rudimentary cast on it.

"We can help."

She gave a worried expression Avery, did he have something wrong with his body, he did not looks physically hurt, more like some sickness or affliction. "Okay we can rest for a bit, we just need to get somewhere safe, so don't take too long". As soon as they stop Avery shoot of into the bushes, followed shortly by a not so pleasant vomiting sound, "are you alright". She received a brief reply, to which she sighted again, the boy had worried her with his sudden action, but if it was just food poisoning it was at lest not life threatening.

Sukai waited for a bit, living him a bit of privacy, though was starting to wonder what was taking so long, she decided to go take a look, just in case he had fainted. Coming closer to the clearing she heard the sound people including Avery talking, were they pirate, other survivors, even if that was the case she was not willing to take any chances, their was no guarantee fellow survivors would be willing to help each other.

She ignited her saber staff coming into the clearing ready for a fight just in case, in front of her were two people, a clone of all thing, one with the face facial feature a the Jango Fett, wearing commando armor, with a blaster in had. This made her a bit tense, was this clone a Jedi killer? She took a slightly defensive stance but lowered it on the site of the Zeltron, red hair green clothes, she had seen this man before.

"Wait I know you, you were on Na Shadda when the incident happened, my bother also talked about you", She could only guess why the man was on the ship, but if her brothers stories were true he may be trying to put some distance between himself and the Hutts. Sukai lowered her light saber but kept it activated the purples blade illuminating her lower body, not really thrusting the clone trooper just yet, "So would someone be able to inform me on whats going on".

Zai breathed a sigh of relief as [member="RC-1047"] lowered his weapon. His headache had subsided a bit and his stomach had stopped making growling noises. "Good to see some other friendly faces, I was worried that only two of us had survived." He took another sip of his canteen before he realised it was empty, stowing it away with disappointment. "I'm Zai Avery, engineer, pilot and occasional crash survivor" he grinned at the pair. "Though I try not to make a habit of that last one. Crashing that is. I'm fine with surviving." He had a habit of babbling, he just hoped the others found it endearing and not annoying.

He looked around for [member="Sky'ito Yumi"] but couldn't see her. Zai must have lost her when he sprinted off abruptly. "I have another companion but I don't know where she disappeared to. Her name is Sk-" He was interrupted by Sky'ito leaping out of the brush into the clearing, weapons in hand. He froze as the tensions rose once again in a matter of minutes. His hand unclenched around the grip of his blaster as Sky'ito recognised [member="Barnabas Harou"].

The group chatted a bit, introducing themselves. Zai took this time to check his blaster, frowning as he did so. The heat and moisture had gotten to the device, and he had to vent some heat off the thermal clip lest the gun malfunctioned. As he did so; a low droning started at the edge of his hearing, barely audible above the talk of the others. He walked a short distance and strained his ears, listening. The droning grew slightly louder. It sparked a memory deep within him, half-forgotten. The sound was unbroken, monotonous; not something that came from the jungle. The droning grew louder and louder until he could hear it much more clearly. The blood drained from his face. The last time he heard that was when he was a slave, listening to the ships off-loading more prisoners. Which meant that it could only be...

"Pirates..." he whispered. He sprinted back to the others shouting: "We've got pirates incoming! Find some cover!" he sprinted towards the treeline and dived into the undergrowth, laying very still. It had to be pirates, no rescue crew would push their engines to make a droning sound like that. They looked after their engines. Pirates on the other hand, stole ships so often they didn't bother looking after them. Only minutes after diving into cover, a large pirate transport thundered overhead, flying far too low to be doing anything but searching. The transport lingered for a moment, but eventually passed on. He stayed still for a moment longer, making sure they were safe, before standing up.

He addressed the others. "That was close, but I think we are ok for now."

Drogh

D
Drogh stopped in his tracks, it was if some thing had hit him. A bump in a smooth road, or as smooth as this twisted planet can be. His head found it's way to the boy, blind? Drogh was drawn to the boy like how flies were drawn to a dead body. His force broke through to Drogh, he could almost smell the power outside of this putrid rot. But why was Drogh walking towards this boy? He had no intention in dragging him self down with others, tugging and pulling him down into this marsh with their presence. Still, Drogh couldn't help his curiosity, perhaps some small goodwill left in him almost wanted to help the boy, perhaps by merely looking at him, he saw himself in him. But that goodwill was broken, snapped and destroyed. Drogh came to his senses, he was but a waste of time, a weakling, while having the force stirring in him, what could that do for Drogh, what could he have any use to him? Drogh turned away from the direction of the boy, slugging fourth in his ruined cloth and shoes, but a small rumble of the marsh was felt, like a growl of an angry beast. Drogh paused almost instantly, glaring down at this untrustworthy heap of watery mud, then it stirred with a rage as some thing hideous emerged from it. A rancor, a horrid swamp rancor. It had black scales running down it's skin, vicious dark claws and it's horns pointed straight as it rises from it's slumber, or perhaps it was waiting for its prey. Drogh for a brief moment was in utter shock and terror, this moment passed as soon as it came and Drogh dived into the sticky marsh to
avoid its long claws against his flesh, as the beast moved to swipe him.

Xin ducked deeper into the vessel with Nej. He knew his ships well enough and moved through the wreckage quickly. Most of the main bulkheads were in tact. If they found a ship in this condition in space it would be worth a salvage run just to take the structure. Hopefully the pirates thought the fuel to escape gravity was too much.

"That's the one!" He called as they reached a junction. Most of the grates were already loose so he kicked it in the rest of the way. Whilst he wasn't the most useful in a scrap he could at least kick. He dropped to one knee and leaned into a crawl space. The nautolan emerged with a small box.

"Need some power and a cable. Not like we're taking the generator out and working the aerial will run up the spine of the..."

Xin suddenly had a bad feeling about this. A moment later he felt the vibrations through the deck. A ship was approaching and the chances of it being anything but pirates was slim.

RC-1047

A plan is only as good as those who see it through
RC-1047 looked at the Jedi, His eye's continued to scan over her, It- It was a damn Jedi? He couldn't believe it, "A-A Jedi? I haven't seen you within ages, Ever since the Order." RC-1047 said while looking down at his feet, "I'm sorry for being Hostile.." RC-1047 said.

He heard pirate's and put his blaster up once more, but when he said they had cleared he holstered it.

"So, Are any of you hurt? If so I can help if needed." RC-1047 said to the group with a warm attitude.

The Clone continued to make scan's to make sure no one else was approaching them.

Most of the power was out- cables were easy enough, Nej had worked on enough ships and actually been the mechanic of one to understand how to get and where to get cables. The question was, how much, and how much power they were going to need.

"We talking toasting bread power or starting a ship power? Don't know if there's even power in any of the systems on the ship left.."

Based on the ship itself, Nej may have been right. However, emergency systems may still be active. Nej didn't have the intuition like his friend had, he was engrossed in the process of the fact that he was alone in a swamp with a Jedi, a Sith, and force knew what else.

"Power pack from a blaster will do just fine," he said. His voice was hushed and he turned his head from side to side. There was again. A faint rumble that ran through the bulkheads. "We grab some extras off a pirate or guard on our way out but we have to go. Now. That sounds like a ship." Xin turned to face Nej with a serious expression on his face.

"And it's far too early for that to be a rescue vessel."

If that didn't make it obvious what the other option was then it would soon become clear given the pace that Xin set off through the remains of the ship at. He used broken pillars and beams as handholds to drag himself through the parts where the corridors became narrow as he searched for the light of day once more, unsure of what it would bring.

Jamie stepped over a few vines creeping across the damp soil beneath feet her like snakes. It took several minutes to drag herself from the muck and filth of the marsh, leading eventually to a small, grassy knoll. Kneeling down she rubbed her hands against her legs, clearing them of some mud and slime. Discomforted was the best word to describe how she felt at present. It was hot, and humid, and things thus far hadn't gotten any brighter, save for knowing at least a few others had survived the crash. The further she got from the wreckage the more she needed to rely on the plumes of smoke to keep track of the vessel. Perhaps fifteen or so minutes would drag on before cresting the peak, giving the woman the ability to look around with a bit of a vantage. In the distance, a few kilometers away perhaps there looked to be a lake. Hopefully that would mean fresh water.

Down the opposite side she hurried, knowing it would take well over an hour or so to reach the source, have a look around, and return to the ship to fetch the others.

Hopefully they would wait for her.

Pain arced through her left arm as she glanced up at the canopy slowly coming into focus through hazy vision, the sound of steam hissing nearby bringing her closer to more fully alert as the memory of blaring sirens died down. I was...somewhere? Her own mouth approximates the steam hiss as she slowly sits up, bringing her right hand to the back of her head towards the throbbing sensation. No blood, good. Barring her sharp teeth she grunts at the exertion of bringing herself fully upright, setting her right arm back to the soft jungle floor before patting her left side for the lightsaber, fingers grasping around the hilt briefly before drifting over to her left arm, She prods slowly through her black gloves, stopping immediately as the pain reignites through her whole body. That...is a problem. Gaining her wits she carefully begins to stand, letting her obviously broken arm remain limp at her side as she stares down the wreckage. That's right...Tisza. Memory of the klaxon cacophony rushes back as she sets toward the nearest large tree, the ship had fallen from orbit and she hadn't the time to make it to an escape pod through the pirates. Hissing again she clutches her saber, pulling it from the magnetic clasps at her left side and igniting the blade, a dim orange light settling over the naturally darkened jungle floor. The blade gently separates a few sections of thin branch from the large tree before the light recedes to the hilt and a gentle hand returns it to the clasps. Shifting her flowing, light red robes she covers the hilt and reaches to the pack at her right side. Ah...I didn't lose you in the crash either.

A sharp grin settles along her features for a moment before the throbbing pain arcs once again, grimacing she reaches in and retrieves a small roll of bandages before bringing them up to her mouth and gently clamping down with her lips. She gathers the small branches and places them in a row before slowly bringing the source of pain to rest against them. Sharp breaths begin for three grudgingly long seconds before she presses a palm to the flat of her left arm and pressures the fracture back into position. A sobbing hiss sounds from her lips for several seconds before, finally, an exasperated grunt and a short sniffle at the setting of the bone. Saliva beginning to dampen the bandages, she takes the roll from her mouth and wraps them around the branches creating a padding before letting her left arm rest against them. It takes several minutes, but at the end she carefully moves her left arm wrapped in the makeshift splint held tightly in place with the bandage wrap. Wiping the accumulation of tears from her face with the robes of her right arm she allows them to fall over her left, poorly concealing the bulky splint as she sets the diminished roll back into her pack. Voices make themselves known in the distance, softly muttering or distraught she isn't certain. Now the hard part begins. Slowly trudging towards the voices she attempts to remain within the shadows of the canopy as the muck becomes more prevalent to ascertain who exactly the voices belong to.

Xin reached light again. The sound of the oncoming ship reverberated through the air. It reflected off trees, rocks and the hull and made it almost impossible to discern the source. He clambered as high up the hull as he dared, transceiver now in a pack across his shoulders weighing him down.

“Anyone see it?”

No one replied with anything helpful so he assumed they didn’t. Xin couldn’t see any of the Jedi or Sith who had apparently been on the ship. There were plenty of scared passengers. Some of whom were following direction to scavenge any useful supplies from the ship. The lifeboats had some basic survival kits and these had been stripped out quickly. The noise was growing.

“For the treeline!” he shouted. A few people looked at the nautolan dressed like a spacer. He didn’t have the standing of a Jedi, or even the uniform of one of the crew members. “Run!” he screamed. That seemed to do the trick. People started running for the treeline in the direction Jamie had left in to go scouting. They needed cover before the pirates arrived.

The pirate ship had set his nerves off, making him paranoid. He couldn't tell if the sweat beading on his head was from the heat, or his own nervousness. His back prickled at the thought of a blaster bolt arching down from the air. A sense of danger seemed to permeate the air. They had to get moving quickly, before the pirates returned.

"[member="Barnabas Harou"], [member="RC-1047"] it was a pleasure to meet you" he said, trying not to keep the panic out of his voice. "But we really need to get moving. There is little cover in the forest, we'll be easily spotted next time. Our best bet is to get under the cover of the wreckage. If we intend to build a beacon or fight the pirates, we'll need to be in a good location".

He knew he could make a beacon easily. The ship was large enough, there would be enough scrap to construct something. The problem would be who intercepted the call. If the pirates were listening, they might discover the call and realise there were survivors. Maybe it would be better to hold out there, let the pirates go to them. He shook his head. Better to focus on one step at a time.

Not knowing if the rest of the group would take the initiative, he set out towards a larger part of the debris. "I know a good spot for shelter, follow me!" he shouted. He uttered small prayers along the way, begging that the pirate ship would not find his group while they walked out in the open.

Unknown to both parties, Zai was leading his group towards the remaining survivors (namely: [member="Xin Boa"], [member="Jamie Pyne"], [member="Nej Tane"]).

Casper nodded as the man introduced himself to the group, Casper continued to keep his finger on the trigger, people would have to earn his trust "But we really need to get moving. There is little cover in the forest, we'll be easily spotted next time. Our best bet is to get under the cover of the wreckage. If we intend to build a beacon or fight the pirates, we'll need to be in a good location".

The Clone grunted in response, Soon they had to rest, Not everyone could have energy for hour's like RC-1047, The Clone looked around the area scanning the certain Terrian looking for place's they could have a shelter, but RC-1047 stopped the Bio-Scan, Hoping this man was right.

"Alright let's get go-" RC-1047 was cut off by [member="Zai Avery"] who was running off towards a certain area and said "I know a good spot for shelter, follow me!" RC-1047 sighed as he took off in a fast sprint after the man, RC-1047 continued to hold his rifle infront of him for any possible dangers.

She wanted to kill the pirates that fled past, would probably been able to do so quite easily, but that would draw attention, and the last thing they needed was a small army of pirates after them. If said buccaneers went after and cruise ship they were probably armed to the teeth with all sort sorts gadgets.

She ignored the others as Avery took the lead, seemed a bit odd since the last time she meet the guy seemed very timd, then again escaping from slavers tends to toughen you up. As the group moved ahead Sukai Reached out with the force to try and sense the other force users that were around, the dark side was distant from them but strong, definitely something to avoid.

The group continued onward, with Suki helping [member="Barnabas Harou"] along, unaware of the other group ahead, which may cause some problems.
