The terms were not unexpected, in fact, Reign had been expecting some debate during this meeting. It was a large change and his friend was within his rights to be hesitant. However, what the Diarchy needed was unity, not an autonomous force acting as it wished.

He felt the frustration flare up from the Archon, but Reign himself kept a level head, this was the type of negotiation he was expecting.
It was within these thoughts that he listened to his brother speak. While not as outright a statement as Reign himself were about to make, the note of swearing to follow the laws of the Diarchy was there, making a perfect Segway.

"My brother speaks the truth Laphsito. And I am willing to concede this. The Lilaste Order may remain under your command as a personal military force, but you yourself, must swear fealty to the Diarchy. And to the Diarch's that represent the will of it's people. If you can do this, you have a place at my side, as a member of this council with the benefits that come with it. If this is something you can not do, while it will pain me, our relationship will return to one of employment."

He eyed the large dragon like man, he wanted him here, and he hoped that Laphisto knew this was the right choice. It was only together that they could make the change the Galaxy needed, and having him here, streamlined their involvement.

High Commander of the Lilaste Order
Laphisto stood in silence, letting his friend's words echo within him. The Diarchy—so alike to the Lilaste Order in countless ways—mirrored the very goals he had spent years cultivating. The Order wasn't just an institution to him; it was a piece of his soul, a living legacy forged from his struggles and triumphs. It was the last, fragile thread connecting him to his old apprentice, Jacen Law, a bond that time and distance had never fully severed.

But more than that, the Lilaste Order had been his sanctuary—his freedom. After Matsu Ike Matsu Ike had set him free all those years ago, Laphisto had wandered aimlessly, carrying the weight of a past defined by servitude and violence. In those early days, when he stumbled upon the abandoned ships on Serroco, founding the Order felt like nothing more than a convenient way forward. But as years passed, clarity sharpened like a blade—he saw the truth of it.

He had spent too long as a weapon, a tool in the hands of others. And when freedom finally came, it had left a hollow space within him. He needed purpose—a path to walk, a place to belong. Yet nowhere felt like home. So, he built one himself.

The Lilaste Order wasn't just a cause—it was his answer to the void. It gave him a reason to keep moving, to fight, to believe. And now, standing before the council, the idea of letting it all fade, of watching it dissolve into forgotten history, clawed at him. He wouldn't let that happen.

So, when Diarch Reign Diarch Reign placed the ultimatum before him, Laphisto drew in a steady breath, his resolve solidifying. He moved with purpose, bowing low, his fist striking firmly against his chest in a gesture of respect and unity. As he raised his head, his gaze swept across Zara Saga Zara Saga , Diarch Rellik Diarch Rellik , and Damos Vakaro Damos Vakaro before locking onto Reign.

His voice rang clear, filled with conviction. "These terms are acceptable, my old friend. So long as I live and breathe, I—and the Lilaste Order—will fight for our shared goals. Let both the Light and Dark sides of the Force unite, to forge a new path for the galaxy. A path free from the dogmatic chains of the Jedi and the Sith—relics of a bygone era. if peace is not an option, and they cannot come to coexist. we will burn their broken orders to the ground. We will tear down the corrupt foundations that have poisoned the galaxy for millennia and from the ashes, we will build something better. A galaxy no longer shackled by the extremes of light or dark—but guided by balance, by unity, and by strength. and the Diarchy will be the one to wield the spear of change."
