LFG Interest check: Rebellion, insurrection, resistance, uprising, revolt… etc.

I’m making a return to the game here. Wanting to try something different.

I just caught up with a couple writer friends of mine and we started kicking around the idea of playing the role of some kind of insurgency against a major “good guy” faction. The short of the long is that there would be an imperialist reform movement that wants to impose imperialism on an otherwise democratic and “republicized” society. It’s tricky, but feasible. The thinking is that it would be interesting to have a reversal of ideals and the roles they play from that of the original trilogy glactic civil war.

Are there any factions interested in having an insurrection to run opposition?

Inversely, Is there anyone interested in joining a revolution movement?

Right in that muse. Heavy into the resistance mindset vs the mandos, if you are wanting a suicide run mass effect style. Small team bad odds, for a few roleplays.

For the alliance or a relatable good guy minor my sith Darth Centax , and Keth's other sith relics live in that space. He can be imperial, but its the Roman kind, filled in with some Viking influence

On balance, I generally prefer threads where we are the underdog, if that's your thinking. Either way, imho, if you want this to have any legs beyond a fun few threads or some small private RP you need to get in contact with the other faction, and plot. BTW if a minor or smaller major wants to get some more play, this is a great chance to round up some hooligans or face down some imperials and have a good story arc you can draw on any time.

If you looking for an insurgency against a "good guy" faction, you can just look at The Foundation That's what we're about. Just not the Imperial part, seeing as we're rebelling against Empires too.

Still, given the many different organizations that Liin is a part of, she could play a small part!

Hello! As one of the writers of the group Daro mentioned, I also enjoy being the underdog. We're definitely looking to get a major or minor faction involved, to give this idea some legs. The Mandos could be a good target. We actually have a potential Casus Belli against them already, but it may be private info so I'll leave it to Daro to elaborate on that if he chooses.

We'll stay in touch once we have a bigger plot. This is just the early "temperature check".
