The Mentor
Imagine this for a moment. A Jedi Order, but not just any Jedi Order. A Jedi Order that can be joined by not just Jedi, but a Jedi that is part of any other Jedi Order. Republic Jedi Order? Silver Jedi Order? Army Of Light? Silent Conclave? Je'daii? Even if some of these may not even exist anymore, I don't think, the point stands. A minor faction with academies across the galaxy, meant to give a place for Jedi to be what they wanna be.
Now imagine... A council. A council, led by a Grandmaster, with pickily chosen Masters from the most trustworthy in the galaxy... Deciding the fate of an order that is dedicated to making the Jedi what they are again. Peacekeepers. Protectors of that peace, of the innocents in this galaxy... And of course, the Sith do bring harm to this galaxy, and cause pain, but many Jedi have lost their way and become nothing but dark side hunters, who know nothing of mercy or compassion, or the chance to redeem. This is a step in the direction to get us back on track.
I don't expect galaxy-wide domination. I don't expect a hundred invasions of the One Sith. What I do expect is a dedicated mission system, roleplaying between Jedi WILL be encouraged! We want you guys to form lasting friendships, lasting bonds through fighting alongside one another. And we will give you the keys to that kingdom by a dedicated mission system where all you have to do is say you want on a list to be given a mission, and you will be paired up with another Jedi who is also on the list, and given a mission, which you can do with as you will in a thread created by you. We will give you basic details... But it is up to you to create the rest and create a story with your fellow Jedi. I may down the road arrange skirmishes with the Sith... Get some serious roleplaying going. I'd love the cooperation of a Sith faction or two to do so. Nothing on the line, just some good old Jedi on Sith action.
Now, titles... Here's where it gets tricky. Council spots, titles, stuff like that... While ANY Jedi can join this new Order... ONLY Jedi that are exclusive to this specific Jedi Order are allowed to have council spots or any sort of titles such as Weaponmaster, or any sort of special rank or position of power that may be bestowed. This allows all the Jedi in the galaxy to be under one united front, no matter what flags they are waving for different Orders, but the council itself is made up of Jedi that are united, with the same goals and the same wish for the direction of the Order.
Seem like an interesting idea? It's been on my mind for quite some time, but I haven't had the time to really get it rolling. Feel free to give your opinions, or even ideas. I appreciate them all.
