> Cynthia's rescue has been accomplished, although not by Besenth'osk. Nonetheless the remote directives had already been sent to the M-22T gunship, and it would be too late to tell it to disengage from its hyperspace jump. Therefore Besenth'osk sends no further message. The ship's computer can decide what to do once it enters the system. ▓
> Just as he caught up with the main force of Mandalorians, a trio of soldiers broke away from the main body. Seeing this, Besenth'osk references their route against his digital copy of the facility map, and deduces that their goal is to regroup with the lone operative, caught by himself just as the prisoner cells have been deactivated. Assessing the situation, he decides that his support of the main group is not imperative. Mand'alor herself is there, after all, and reinforced with strong allies. Comparatively, three is a small number in a riot. Having a fourth member goes a long way to prolonging the survival of a commando squad. ▓
> Hence Besenth'osk readies his X-45 rifle and follows. The process of getting the weapon into firing readiness causes him to fall about ten seconds behind the other three. This is not a troubling development, however. Vanguards can be of great value when there is a certain measure of standoff between them and the main force, especially when moving through hostile-free territory (and given the situation, and the direction they are coming from, there is a negligible chance that any prisoners would stumble across their path). They enter into the main corridor of the prison, shooting off of which are numerous side corridors, like ribs. ▓
> Besenth'osk reaches the main corridor entryway, having done all he ought to, and yet finding that calamity is always just a heartbeat away. En route to rescuing the solus vod1, that man is bumrushed by a quintet of freshly-escaped prisoners in one of the nearby side corridors and is slain in unceremonious fashion, a sight that neither Besenth'osk nor the trio bore witness to. What Besenth'osk does catch sight of is the rounding of that corner by the attack team and their sudden encounter with the five escapees, resulting in nearly instantaneous deaths of two of them. ▓
> At the first sight of the enemy, Besenth'osk readied his tracy'uur2. Some might complain that the objective was to subdue the prisoners. But you cannot blame a droid for his actions; it's dictated by his programming. Said programming authorizes him to use reasonable force to deter threats to his vode, and since some have perished already, lethal countermeasures are authorized. Any further complaints can be addressed to Sora Talus. As the computerized scope of the X-45 is perfectly designed to interface with Class 4 beskar'ad3 without any need for aftermarket modifications, Besenth'osk does not need to raise it to his shoulder. Instead he holds it at the hip, with just his right arm, leaving his left free to retrieve and arm a CryoBan grenade. The droid interface on his gun patches the visual feed from the scope directly to his central computer. With only minimal adjustment of the servomotors in his arm, he takes aim and fires at the very moment that the Morgukai, Qujak, kicks the last surviving member of the strike force. ▓
> The shot comes from Qujak's right, from the open corridor leading to that corner around which the Mandalorians had come face-to-face with the prisoners. In their attack on the Mandalorian, he had jumped back, which in turn drew Qujak from the cover of the corner wall into the open for execution of the two-steps-then-kick. And thus the narrow-beam blaster bolt from (as the X-45 scope's rangefinder told Besenth'osk) 100 meters away would arrive, outside of his peripheral vision, and in all but the most unforeseeable of circumstances, bury itself neatly into Qujak's brain for what ought to be an instantaneous kill. ▓
> And if that is the case, Besenth'osk would only have a little more work to do in order to complete this objective. The Weequay with a spear and the Nikto with bloody fists are the only other enemies that Besenth'osk can see right now, but he had also noted some inaccurate blaster shots erupting from the hallway towards the last friendly in the area. So there is at least one more. He begins to run a visual recognition on the visible ones against the prisoner manifest. It may prove useful, or it may wind up being irrelevant. Who can say? But that's a droid for you; always by-the-book. ▓
> The last remaining member of the strike team has been dazed by the kick into the wall, but upon recovery, will have taken note of the sniper fire and will tactically withdraw back around the corner in an attempt to draw the adversaries after him. From what this Mandalorian has ascertained from the few moments of encounter with the enemy, he judged that the Nikto, at least, was likely to give chase, if not more. Hence he'd have to create some distance in order to stay alive, unlike his vode. ▓
