Invade Coruscant

With the invasion of Togaria wrapping up its only a matter of time until we get another Invasion rammed our way from the sith. So I'm just putting this out there, I think now is a good time to take back coruscant. I'll let y'all worry about the logistics and ideas around it, but I think we've done enough laying around and waiting for the next attack. Let's dish out some pain for once.

I'm down, as long as we can get some awesome terms drawn up. We'll want to remember to get clarification of the 24 hour rule (no idea why that suddenly became confusing with Togoria) and maybe at least one objective-oriented thread.

I'd also suggest a 3 week time limit, instead of 2. It's bound to be a big fight, with both factions throwing up their masses. More time for fights to resolve would be good, because we're bound to end up with more scheduling conflicts due to the increase in writer number.

Going with mostly PvP would be best, I think. We can do roughly what we had at Togoria; PvP ground battles, PvP fleets, etc and so forth. Keeps things clean.

I've been waiting for this for a while. Originally I had wanted to target Contruum, but if you guys muster a big enough force to take on the OS capital, I'll do my damndest to get involved.

The Galaxy that Mak came from, Sith, Imperial and even the Alliance had control of Coruscant from one point to another, and as an old friend put it to Mak, one who had served with the Coruscant Security Forces, it made Mak realize the full truth for the Coruscanti people.

For the people of Coruscant, for people who are trying to live their lives day by day, to feed their families, raise children and try to just survive, it's only a sick joke to see who's trying to take back the planet.

However, if it means bringing Coruscant back, I'm in...

If we do this we will need help. without assistance from either the SSC or GA we will have problems. While we did well at Togaria, it is not Coruscant. IF we hit The OS capital every OS memebr would come out of the woodwork where they have been hiding the last couple of invasions and the GR would find itself fighting people who have not written OS in months. I am all for making a big move like this if we have the people to do it. As is currently we do not.

Also if this is going to happen we need to hit it mid june so people are not dealing with finals or burnt out from finals.

I disagree unless we won togaria, as we lose it again with the cloud burst.
I would suggest something that maintains the cloud, but yep I am up for it.

How about we try to engineer this to be more story-based than "Win X Duels" based?

And I agree with three weeks instead of two - two weeks seems like enough time, usually, but for an invasion that's pretty short.

Maybe set up a capture location objective, or something like that.

Let's try to move away from the stale PVP stuff and try to make this Coruscant invasion like the One Sith Invasion of Coruscant way back. That would be way more fun, imo.
