HK gave a nod to Mandalore Skirate, Aedan, and of course, his Wonder-Twin Kerrigan, as he noticed them on the scene.
As others begun to speak up, offering deals to Val, including becoming their subsidiary, he kept silent, waiting for his turn to speak. Kerrigan made her offer, and then Noah, the droid didn't really liked the way he referred to Firemane as 'pompous' they were in company of trusted companions, mostly, softer words could have been used.
HK was about to comment when the droid emissary spoke. There was something about the message that ticked the droid off and he had half a mind to grab the trinket and stun it with electroglove of his. Czars were enemies of the Protectorate, they served the fallen Galactic Imperium in harassing the Protectorate and Galaxy, and now wanted for Protectorate-born Company to pay him tributes? Yeah, HK felt uneasy about the machine-courier's presence, but they do say 'Do not shoot the messenger' so, when HK finally had a chance to speak, he did.
"Well, first of all, let us try to avoid using words like 'pompous', Colonel Corek, let us remember that Ever-Colonel Kerrigan is a veteran like us, we all served in the same war, we have taken responsibility of the same seat of Colonel, and she has been an Exarch. While I by no means say that she is a saint, softer words could be used to describe her company."
He would look from Noah to Kerrigan,
"Like, 'hard-headed', 'rather stubborn', 'keeps loosing limbs even though beskar armor', or 'Na-na-na-boo-boo, I am better than you, stick your head in doo-doo'."
The droid quipped to Kerrigan, looking to Mandalore Skirata,
"Lord Mandalore, by no means take my words to heart, it is merely jesting between Companions-at-Arms and a show of humor a droid can develop without memory wipes since the ages of Mandalore the Ultimate."
He gave the Mandalore a nod of respect.
Looking over to Val, the droid continued to speak,
"Val, I know your expertise in cybernetics, and it is not a field you have much major competition, as far as I know. You can trust on Abregado's help as your equals, friends and allies, I do not ask for you to pay me tributes nor royalties, I invite you to create technology with me, my expertise in warfare and droid-works with your knowledge of cybernetics, we can create great things and then share the design, so that we both can use it as we like. I also have to disagree with Ex-Exarch Kerrigan, Colonel Corek, and the representative of James Armor Companies"
The machine glanced to them,
"I do not think you should become a subsidiary, you could potentially raise in market rather quickly, and then status of a subsidiary can be potentially crippling to you. However if you decide to take them on their offer, I vouch for both the Firemane and Hekler'Kok, and here is my reasoning."
HK looked back to Val,
"The said Czars have begun to die out for a reason, they were a wrong bet, not all prototypes end in success. They also faced off against the Protectorate and backed our enemies. And our enemies are not the just and righteous. They are Sith, bullies, renegades, do not pledge yourself as servant and vassal to shady weapon-manufacturers when you can choose from the people you trust, those you have fought side-by-side, those you know. Those who are not afraid to show in person for such a meeting instead of sending a droid courier to speak for them."
The droid looked in the direction the machine left, before looking back to Val,
"It is true that the Firemane is raising quickly, they are ambitious, and they have such inventions as the Bolt-Guns to support their position in the market. But they are still young, like you they are carving out their position on the market. The Hekler'Kok is an older company, much better established, but I would not describe their business as stellar, I believe they made a choice of supplying a faction that failed in the end, and a failing faction does not always speak well for a manufacturer supplying them."
HK looked to Noah,
"Although they have long-standing contract with the Protectorate, and a recent one with a faction within the Republic. It is still very much possible for them to come back and create great business on the Galactic Market."
Looking back to Val, the droid would wrap up,
"So it is your choice, Val, as it seems right now, between the Rising Maverick Firemane and the Old Veteran Hekler'Kok."
