Most likely protecting the Hyper-Buoyancy considering it's in the city center?

Might just start on perimeter duty? Considering the massive height of Ahto City's walls?

Oh and let's use common sense please, let's assume that civilians for the most part have evacuated or are in the process of fleeing?

Maybe a few stubborn shop owners or people who have nowhere else to go but if this is going to be like other Invasions, where the focus shifts from objectives to NPC rescue - I'm going to politely step back.

Yes, character development is key and I could not stress it enough on these objectives, which is why they're great cause you'll still have NPC Civilian workers, engineers, ect trying to keep things going while you defend and what not but you're not going to be like "ERMAHGERD, Civilians need to be rescued right away despite the objectives being overwhelmed!"

Just sayin'

I agree, having everyone panic at first sign is a bad idea. I also approve of using NPCs and I am glad you reminded me of the background NPCs that people (like me) tend to forget about.

I'll try my best to involve them.

Yes, let NPCs take care of NPCs. I like that idea too and leave the actual PCs to other PCs. Is that what you were saying?

This is my first invasion.

It's good to use NPCs like as a bit of fluff and tuff to your character development and writing in Invasions but when it becomes all about NPC rescue and less worry about actually doing the objectives themselves and assisting the Faction in their goals - then the message of help is lost.

Past examples have been about - Let's just forget helping PC 1 who is getting double-teamed by PC 2 and 3 and focus on getting Mr. NPC from his shoppette.

Again, nothing against that - Great writing, just it gets drawn out and then PC 1 has to abandon objective and by default we just lost Objective.

These are again, past examples and took a three month vacation from here so I don't know if things have changed or not.

It is just something that I know frustrated others, as well as myself.

As for how the thread is starting, IC, the people of Mannan will be in celebration and having a giant festival to celebrate the finish of Ahto City rebuild after the last great catastrophe there. So the festival is reason enough for people to be present.
