Invasion of Nar Shaddaa (Reps vs. Suns)

Sopher wiped a bit of soot off his face that he seemed to have missed. He slurped his slurpee as well and wished that they had stopped at the McYoda’s on the way to the meeting. Of course his Master probably had run out of the allotted credits the Jedi gave her to take care of him. Tilting his head, he finished the slurpee with a loud suction noise. Looking around he wondered if anyone noticed. Frowning he shook the cup and chewed the end of his straw for a moment.

Eyeing Diana’s slurpee, he moved closer to the woman he tried to reach his straw into the woman’s slurpee. Seeing that this wasn't going to work, he quickly at the right moment stole the straw and inhaled deeply the Jedi Knight's slurpee.

"Yes, Grandmaster" Josh said with a respectful nod. 15 hours was the best they could give. Hopefully the "Leaders" of the Black Suns wouldn't misuse them. He had almost believed that these people actually cared about their citizens... At least, he DID. Until they sacrificed precious time for the civilians to evacuate in favor of saving their own skins. That wasn't the act of a hero, or a leader, or someone that should be followed or respected. That was the act of a coward.

He walked quietly with @Vex Tythion, wary of whatever may be pulled.

Diana slowly swiveled her head towards @[member="Sopher Jakobs"], her face twisting into an unholy abomination of hatred and demonic expression. She stared at the young Jedi with a face of pure and unadulterated disgust, her eyes alight with demonic fire.

DON'T EVER TOUCH MY SLURPEE Diana screamed at Sopher through the use of Jedi telepathy, not wanting to disrespect the grandmaster by randomly yelling out. Then with a viper like strike Diana smacked Sopher upside the head.

Sopher stared into a face that was worse than any Sith could ever come up with. The first time in his life he felt fear as the woman raged over her consumed Slurpee. Then her voice entered his mind and his bottom lip quivered slightly. He held strong and didn’t succumb to the woman’s rage and then in a quick reaction, nothing like he had ever faced before a smack to the side of his head.

The boy lost the ability to hold it in, he lost all control over his body and as the smack finished and her rageful strike shook his body…the boy spit a fountain of slurpee onto the woman. Blinking, he wiped his lip with the back of his hand and smiled nervously and in a mousey tone he murmured to the woman.

“Sorry Knight Diana…”

He rubbed the side of his head and waited for her reaction.

Diana stared at Sopher for a few more minutes, then looking down at her robes. She wanted to strike the small child again but decided that would be far too much right now. The Knight placed a hand on her robe and began to wipe off the slurpee from her clothes, tossing the liquid onto the ground and leaving large pink stains in her already dirt robes. Had they been fresh Sopher would currently be hanging by his ankles and crying like a little girl.

“We will talk about this later.” Diana said absolute menace still in her voice.

She turned and regarded her bladesister @[member="Daella Apparine"]. “Control your apprentice.”

As he walked out with Vex, he had caught @[member="Diana Moridena"] smacking @[member="Sopher Jakobs"] for stealing her slurpee. Now, Josh loved kids. Absolutely karking adored kids. He had a soft spot for children that fit very well with his dreams of one day becoming a father himself, as well as attested to the almost fatherly way he treated his youngling Padawans.

When Diana smacked Sopher, Josh very subtlety gave her the nastiest, most hateful look he had ever given someone. He wanted to smack her right then and there for that instance of child abuse, but couldn't in front of the Grandmaster. Besides, he had a job to do.... Regardless, he kept his guard up, his gaze never completely leaving his charge. Despite the incident, Josh was still completely guarded and wouldn't be distracted.

Amarant

Dead Men End All Tales.
(OOC: I am assuming we are not being forcibly detained and I'm acting accordingly)

"No negotiation?" he said calmly. "Fine. You can try to seize me--after I'm done evacuating innocent people off this planet who just happen to have been part of our government. 15 hours it is," he said calmly. Time to work a miracle, he supposed. He didn't like this. He had failed. He had failed to protect Nar Shaddaa from foreign invasion at the hands of a usurper who didn't care about this planet. As if it's people had a choice in the matter. Now they had to deal with the one Hutt who could stand the Republic's bribery and manipulation--Thogga. He was a bellicose fool, and the other Hutts would try to depose him at first opportunity.

He continued, letting which ever Jedi follow him, as his multiple camera drones also followed him, the holonet uplink. He walked over to a nearby car, quickly removing the power cells and connecting them to the back-up main-frame. He looked directly at the Jedi. "I'm going to plug myself in. When I'm done, if you feel I am deserving of death, let me have some last words," he said calmly. "There are 45 million 738 thousand, 219 people that I need to evacuate, safely. If you value your own code, let me do that. If you still believe I'm deserving of my end here after that, whomever's still here with me can sort it out."

With that lack of ceremony, he plugged himself on the jury-rigged holoterminal, connecting it to his neck after ripping off portions of his synthetic flesh. "Black network protocol initiated," he said calmly.
he sat down, and began speaking as his voice coordinated on every active holoterminal on site. "Attention, Black Sun personnel. You have already heard Tythion Vex. We have surrendered the planet. We have been given fifteen hours to evacuate all Black Sun personnel. As we have no assurances from the Republic regarding our safety after wards, it is advised you evacuate immediately. I am sorry, friends. The Suns have failed to protect Nar Shaddaa. We must leave it to the Republic, now. I will maintain online presence to coordinate evacuation in the most timely fashion possible. Please activate your Black Network tracking algorithms on your data pads and holo-receptor devices. This is a Protocol 16. I repeat, this s a protocol 16. We must evacuate the planet."

Things began to move. Data streamed across the holographic displays, all filtering through, faster than human mind could begin the grasp. Hell, even a Columi slicer hopped up on Caf Expressos would have a hard time doing what Ash was doing right now--using all the processing power available on military reserve data process to coordinate and calculate millions of people moving across the moon. He was the traffic control the Star ships customs authority, the planetary algorithmic for deployment of emergency services. he'd be lucky if he survived this. Still, if he had to sacrifice system integrity to pull this off, so be it. He'd get everyone off Nar Shaddaa safe and sound--that was hi mission. Enough things had failed this week. It was done. Nar Shaddaa was now the world of the Jedi thieves. He wondered how long it'd take for them to screw it up.

As @[member="Selena Halcyon"] gave the order to Daella, she gave a nod in response acknowledging the order. Yet, she diverted her attention to the incident between @[member="Diana Moridena"] and @[member="Sopher Jakobs"]. Daella reached out and attempted to pull Sopher away from Diana.

Looking at Diana, Daella told her, “Do not mind him.

Then turning to Sopher, Daella ordered him, “Wait outside.

Once all others, including Mr. Ash, departed from the room, Daella turned to the Grand Master and asked her, “Should the droid act suspiciously, should I deactivate it?

The Grandmaster stood alone in the conference room for a moment. Everyone had left and was going about the business they were assigned. She breathed a sigh of release and some of the tension in her shoulders decreased. The fact that the Black Suns had not resisted was a weight off of her back. If they had attacked people would be lost. All things considered the police actions had been mostly bloodless. The actions of this so-called operative were something to be concerned about but she would look into that later. As it stood the planet would be evacuating and the Republic would have to settle in for the time being. Jedi and Republic soldiers would crack down on many of the upper levels as they solidify Hutt allies to control the rest of the levels. Another part of her was not pleased by the fact that the already depleted Black Suns leadership would be permitted to escape. They could have crippled the entire organization today but the Suns would live on. A fact she was not pleased about. Plans would have to be put into place to delay them, however, today was a victory and the eyes of the Republic could be set in a different direction.

Vex gave a Low sarcastic bow "Of course why would a government that prides himself on freedom, allow me to tell the citizens who's Lives you are about ruin the truth about the gun barrel diplomacy that went on here" Then he turned and began to walk away "Come master jedi I would rather get out of the way of the republics weapons I would rather not see the massacre I envisage appearing here" He called to @[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"]. He stopped "Here is my bag jedi would you carry it for a poor cripple" He said with a fake tone of weakness in his voice, He looked up to the jedi "On the way to the shuttle I need to collect my girls"

He raised an eyebrow and laughed a bit.

"You take me for a fool, Vex?" he asked. "I'm sympathetic to the fact that in my opinion, the Black Suns were screwed over by Domino. That's why I appealed your case to get you more time. You are no cripple, as far as I've seen, so you're very much able to carry your own bags" he said, an amused look on his face.

All that false bravado and goodness in that meeting from the Suns, and yet their masks come off so easily.

@Vex Tythion

"You try being frogmarched off your home planet with stunted Legs" He smiled then began walking off again "So much for the Jedi's reputation as men and women of compassion." He waddled round the corner to his club He pushed the door open "Ladies we need to go there is a jedi here with a big light saber..." he chuckled "He says we need to go" Moments later a stream of scantly clad women flowed out of the bar. They blew kisses at the dashing blonde jedi.

Meta wanted to assist his Master @[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"] in his 'negotiations' but chose to remain silent behind him. He didn't know how he felt about being so close to a man like Vex, over the years of whatever various jobs Meta had participated in. He had heard of the little man quite a few times, he had his finger in a lot of peoples pies. Meta kept his hand on the saber at his waist at all times, wary of attack. To his discomfort there was a strange smell around the are, a smell he recognised all too well.

"I showed y'all more compassion then you deserve" the Jedi fired back with a smirk, not missing a heartbeat as he spoke.

"Consider yourself lucky you have the compassionate one escorting you " he snarked with a grin. "One hits kids, the other ignores kids, another feasts on the tears of Padawans. You got lucky with me" he joked. Even in war time, Josh still had a sense of humor. That would die down once he smacked Diana though... Child abuse didn't fly with him.

Meta's muscles tensed as he could feel something awry around the area. He was sure his master could feel it too, a distinct desperation. Crying out to them, the pain and suffering of this planet was unbearable. He tightly gripped his jedi weapon in his hand. He felt uneasy, and he didn't like it.

Josh could feel that the planet was taking it's toll on his Padawan. Patting the young one on the back, Josh whispered a few words of comfort into the ear of @Meta. Nar Shadda had been a doozy his first time around as well, but most Jedi ended up here eventually.

"Remember when you asked the reasoning for blocking some things out?" Josh asked Meta quietly, eyes still on @Vex Tythion. "This is why. It's to keep you from being overwhelmed. Relax, deep breath. We'll be off here soon"

"aww is the little baby boy scared of the scum on this planet" Vex said with a smirk "worried it might consume you?" he asked the padawan. He enjoyed nastiness it suited him far better than other weapons. "OK ladies lets go He said ushering them into the ship. He pulled one girl from the stream a Pig ugly dwarf mute, His niece or something, He couldn't quit remember the relation it may well have been his daughter. He pushed the girl at Joshua "Here Jedi something to remember me by" He chuckled, He even made himself Laugh sometimes He gave a low sarcastic bow then stepped into the ship "Tata" He said as the doors closed.
