Invasion of Ord Mirit OOC [GR vs. OS]

The sub defines them as the guided missile or grenade analog of the Yuuzhan Vong. The thud bugs are the original variant and are capable of flying over 150km/hr. If you don't like what I'm posting, pm me and we can discuss it. I can tell you the power of the thing all day long, its up to you as the writer to respond to it accordingly.

You are correct, it doesn't take them to the part of the post involving them. But it does tell them that they are involved in the post, one way or another. And it's considerate, takes like 2 seconds, and can make a world of difference for communication in what is a semi-complicated effort.

edit: hey look, double post by me. Must be early.

Just a reminder for everyone to please keep it civil in the OOC chat.

Let's all murder each other with respect and courtesy.
Sith and Civil? Psssh they don't even start with the same letter. There you go trying to have your cake and eat it too.

I am kidding of course. Place nice ya'll :)

[member="Darth Venefica"], "invisibility" isn't a force power. There are several different types of stealth powers. Two are most common. One bends light waves and the other uses illusory magics to mind trick the observer.

If he is using Bend Light, then he'd also have to be bending infrared waves. If he isn't, because infrared isn't in the visible spectrum and there'd be no reason ordinarily to do so, then Zaren should be able to see him. If he's using illusions then that's another matter entirely and has to do with Force e-peen measuring.

Though knowing Darth veles, it will be an illusions

You can't confuse infrared unless deliberately doing so, which Veles would have no reason to do so against a living being. If Veles is perverting the White Current that's another matter. Zaren is using infrared optics, which will still see someone using Force Cloak. From the wookie article:

Force cloak, also known as Force camouflage, was a rarely seen Force talentinvolving the manipulation of light and sound waves to render a practitioner virtually invisible to the naked eye.

Naked eye being the key words. Infrared optics aren't the naked eye. Again, this only applies if Veles isn't perverting the White Current.

[member=Norrin Fulk]: Just playing Devil's Advocate (ugh, fourth time I've used that term today), but infrared is still a wavelength of light, just a much longer one.
The Wiki does state that "the naked eye" is most regularly affected, but considering the logic that the infrared spectrum is merely lower in wavelength than the visible spectrum, there's no reason the ability shouldn't be applicable to the IR spectrum.

Now, if you had a thermal scope, that would be different, unless the hostile has likewise smothered their body's temperature emissions with the Force, somehow.

EDIT: I would only accept that the IR spectrum has been affected as long as the writer has identified that specifically in their post, considering it deviates somewhat from the wiki, which is commonly available and read by others.

It is, yes, but it's not visible to the naked eye, so the definition of bend light doesn't cover it. I suspect that, as Sabrina said, he's probably not using Bend Light, though.

As Norrin would say: "Fricking Force loving hippies and your power corruption!"

"Light" is just an energy wavelength, visible or not, it's all "light."

Ergo, the term "Bend Light" actually more accurately describes the entire spectrum, if anything at all. Which would include the IR wavelengths of "light."

Can I fight/thread with Tsoring Shai some time? If you intend to keep him around, that is.

Also, I keep saying "Yorik-Koma" in my post, and I'm mistyping. I'm talking about the "Yaret-Kor" cannons.
