Say its all in good fun however much you want, but at a certain point sarcasm and joking goes out the window and turns into plain bitterness. Perhaps if you have already been through this you should knew better than to say things like this at all, especially in a place where tone is actually hard to read.
If I have offended someone, by all means, I ask that they come to me and say: "You hurt my feelings." or "You offended me with this comment."

I will sincerely apologize as best as text will allow me to do so.

I will ensure to put - I'm just kidding instead of letting it sit there for too long or make sure I re-read it to ensure it isn't offensive in nature.

So, if I offended or guilt-trip anyone into believing you have to fight for the Republic - I am sorry.

I encourage you to do what you desire to do, not what someone else wants you to do. Be it the OS leadership, be it the Republic leadership, be it the Las Vegas bookies? Is that what they're called? Guys who call the odds.

Yeah, them.

Right.

So whats the game plan.
Oh and I may I point out that if we want to cut their influence sphere. We want to do it in place that threatens the Republic space the most.

Game plan:

OS has already submitted their next Invasion negotiation terms to Republic Admins. Therefore, their invasion comes first.

I understand you guys are eager for blood, and I am totally on board with wanting to take the next fight to them. However, now that their invasion is inbound, there are some new things to consider:

There is a very good chance that if we negotiate terms for both invasions, they will need to happen simultaneously and our memberbase will be split.

There is a very good chance that part of the terms will rule that characters may only take part in one invasion or the other, but not both at the same time.

Please consider the fact the OS active members outnumber us quite significantly. They will have the upper hand in both invasions if allies are not allowed, and will still have the upper hand member-count-wise even if allies are allowed.

So, do we want to carry forward with both invasions and risk this? Or do we want to focus on one invasion (it will have to be their proposed invasion first) with better terms and better chances of winning?

Can we not fight the OS again? I mean, let's start some beef with another faction. Mix things up a little.

One idea for an all-or-nothing invasion is that we could invade worlds we arlready have command over and slaughter millions. That'll surely throw the OS of their game and then we will sweep in and annihilate them. (Perfect plan, don't even try to find flaws.)

(The reason we probably don't win many invasions here is because everyone seems to hate each other :p )

I recommended hitting the ASA, because of the dominion the two are doing. And a possible faction merger as well.

Unfortunately we don't have a choice in the matter as we cannot deny the OS their newly proposed invasion.
Explain, please. Last I checked, no faction was forced to write an invasion without their approval.

  • Honestly, I can't see why the Republic would go messing with another Faction. We have to focus on the Sith. Yeah, Mixing it up is fun but strategically, why would we go south when we're supposed to go east?
  • We probably shouldn't split our own forces up, unfortunately, they got their Invasion up on the table first. *shrugs* The Galactic Event isn't going to change much, so we just have to focus on what we can and go from there.
  • I'd like to see Invasion terms WORDED properly to where they don't favor, ya know what I mean?

You cannot deny a proposed invasion. You can delay the negotiations, but an RPJ or Admin can be brought in to mediate if one suspects the delay is on purpose.

Some people are under the impression that Republic denied an invasion of the Red Ravens. This is false. Their invasion was reported because they did not follow proper term negotiation procedure, and it was not a faction admin that posted what terms there were in the OOC forums. The FL later withdrew the invasion to stem any further drama.

You can toss negotiations on objectives back and forth until someone gets irked enough to get an Admin or RPJ involved and then they decide for you in essence. LoL.
