STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
[+] Relentless Dogfighter: Initiate and destroy, are just two of the lessons that Ishana learned at the Carida Academy. A foe who will not yield until all her enemies were destroyed. She proved to do better when engaged in dogfights and if anyone decided to double team or even triple team against her, found that they were only signing their death warrants.
[+] Vehicular Throttle: Leave it to Songbird to be able to get out of something like an explosion while still manning any space or airborne vehicle. This isn't to say she hasn't taken her share of scrapes and bruises, but most of the time she's able to evade the damage. Then in point-zero-six seconds, she's hit the throttle - full throttle on the vehicle, all the while maintaining control.
[+] Acute Footing: As a kid growing up on Balmorra, Ishana learned to adapt to its many geographical features both natural and unnatural. When she got to the Academy on Carida her surefooted techniques were noticed and enhanced with training. She's now able to sense when things are off or about to go awry just before it happens. Giving her the first crack at a fight.
[-] Fire in the Sky: Unfortunately, Ishana early on in her career as a TIE Fighter didn't do so great. She's been shot down one or two times, and trapped at least once under the burning carcass of her fighter. She suffered severe burns and has had multiple surgeries to repair the damage. While her body may have recovered she hasn't, and can't or won't go near places with open flames.
[-] A Distance: Even before she was a TIE Fighter, Ishana always had trouble paying attention. Her mind tends to wander and she always has to ask someone to repeat their questions, or answers. Of course, none of her instructors were pleased with this because even when they were addressing her directly it always seemed that her mind had better places to be.
[-] Unfortunate Gambler: Ishana's never been the wisest person, and tends to stay at tables she shouldn't for a lot longer than she should. This has resulted in Ishana owing debts and being in way over her head in most casinos. So when Ishana says she's going to pay them back, she almost never means it. Which more than likely means she's on a few hit lists for owing said cash, mostly to people around the Smuggler's Moon, of course.

Having worked hard to get the body she has, she enjoys flaunting it, with that being said. Ishana is often seen in shorts and little to nothing on top. You'll often spot her working somewhere with dull lights to hide some of the scars she's gained from her TIE Fighter days. When out in public she wears long sweaters to cover up. Her hair's typically down unless she's working or flirting and then it might be pulled up.

Ishana grew up in a world that was so used to war and destruction it was like no one blinked at the idea of it. She was raised to be loyal, dedicated to fighting for the cause - whatever that happened to be. Although truth be told she had longed to be part of the Empire, at least this is what she had always thought. When she came of age she studied for the entrance exams to an Imperial Academy. She laned on Carida which wasn't so bad, but it was certainly a change from Balmorra. When her parents, Daveeq and Aalicya Pavanos learned that their daughter would become a TIE Fighter, they were elated. Even if the rest of her family had decided to fight for the Republic.
Ever the black sheep of her family, Ishana graduated and began her ever-so illustrious career for the Empire. Which mostly meant patrol, training, and the occasional skirmish. Except when those skirmishes turned into full-scale battles. In all her time as a TIE Fighter, she'd ever only been shot down a total of three times. Which isn't bad considering her above average kill rate, if Ishana had heeded the words of caution of her commanders maybe she'd have only been shot down twice. One was at least because she decided to go full on into the enemy fighter. Thankfully they were over a mostly oceanic planet, and above said ocean. Her eject button worked that time, the one time it didn't she was fighting over, some backwater planet and ended up trapped beneath her fighter.
The Empire isn't really known for its swift rescues because maybe that's not the sort of image they want to portray. Still, Ishana was ever so grateful to have been rescued from that crash. Had they taken any longer she might've died, heck she should've died. Doctors attributed her life to just how she landed. On her ass, getting a broken tailbone out of it but she was alive.
Over the course of her career, Ishana had earned two callsigns, the first of which was Songbird. It wasn't a name she wanted, it was given to her because they thought of her as a weak fragile creature. Their assumptions came because of how flirty she could be, how dainty she seemed. She enjoyed pampering herself and spending time with those in the civil service. But of course, the question is why of all names, songbird? She was heard singing in a cantina. She wasn't terrible, she wasn't great but her commanding officer at the time thought it'd be funny.
Jokes on him, though. After being given the name songbird is when she started to get a feel for dogfighting. Really, get a feel for it - during one particular skirmish, they could hear her shrieking with delight as she shredded through her opponents. Thus she became known as Shriek-Hawk. So then why would she leave the Empire? After all, there was an understanding, an arrangement - she had so much going for her! Ishana is a lover, not a fighter and she found that she was happier dancing, entertaining and loving others.
But also because she was caught in bed with one or two of her former CO's wives. They threatened dishonorable discharge but she beat them to the punch, okay so it was more than just one or two. It also may have occurred while she was on duty, in uniform. Still, what's a girl to do? Ishana 'resigned,' from the Empire. Even to this day the Empire just can't get keep their hands off of her, often sending several of their representatives to fetch her, something about being absent without leave, oh and they want their fighter back. Which you know, Ishana would totally know where it was at, if sheknew / remembered just who she lost it to.
