APPEARANCE:
At just 5"1' (1.54 meters) Ishani is small in stature. Her features have matured, losing their quality of untouched innocence, though some eerie traces of ethereal beauty remain. Her hair is waist-length, the golden blonde curls meticulously cared for and styled. She has a dimple in her left cheek, though it is only visible when she smiles. An avid wearer of perfume, she wears a different scent each day.
STRENGTHS
- Force User: Ishani has become a mess of different traditions and abilities (don't even think about asking her what her philosophy is), but she does have the Force, and that's always a plus.
- Wings: A recent addition to Ishani's body, she now sports a pair of batlike wings sprouting from her back, allowing her to fly across short distances.
- Maker, Not a Destroyer: Ishani has some skill in crafting and alchemy. She's most well known for concocting alchemized perfumes with various magical effects on the wearer.
- Stone Wall: Though she is small and not an exceptional fighter, Ishani can take a surprising amount of punishment in battle. Modern medical treatment (and a little Sith alchemy) have done wonders for keeping her intact; her body is littered with scars and replacement parts - a testament to her determination, if nothing else.
- Vibrant Senses: Thanks to a Force-imbued tattoo, Ishani has received a boon to her senses and increased alertness.
- Naturalist: Gifted in Plant Surge and experienced with handling animals, Ishani is quite at home in the natural world.
WEAKNESSES
- I Live, I Die, I Live Again: If I had a nickel for every time Ishani died and was resurrected, I'd have three nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it's happened thrice. Every time Ishani dies and is resurrected, her physical body will become increasingly more mutated. Some of these changes may be beneficial, some may be not so beneficial.
- Emotional: Ishani tends to be ruled by her heart and is prone to impulsive, emotion-driven decisions.
- Delusions of Grandeur: Ishani has been trying to create a cult centered around herself and her family. While she doesn't go around expecting everyone to worship her, she does crave respect and admiration from others and may wind up in over her head for it.
- Torn Down the Middle: Ishani was born and raised in an anti-Force cult. For much of her adult life she has flip-flopped between trying to distance herself from the faith of her ancestors, replace it with other philosophies, or reconcile it with her own views. This has led to considerable friction between her and her family, as well as the culture at large.
- Spirits Beware:
Due to her upbringing, Ishani has an automatic fear and distrust of anything originating in the Netherworld, be they ghosts, Shadows, or demons. Her fear is receding as she ventures deeper into the Netherworld, but she maintains a healthy distrust and paranoia regarding all things undead or incorporeal.
Darth Miasma was born Rhiannon Ishani Threepwood on the planet Chaldea. Shortly before her birth, her homeworld had been wracked by a vicious civil war between two religious factions. The Chaldean Potentium, an anti-Force cult, had emerged victorious, beginning a period of suppression of other religions and the exile or execution of practicing Force Users. Ishani's father, Toloth Threepwood, was a Paladin who fought in the war on the side of the Potentium. After suffering a severe injury in the line of duty, he adopted pacifism, became a teacher, and eventually ascended to the rank of headmaster of the prestigious Chaldean Academy. He and his wife Charisse were devout followers of Potentium doctrine and would raise their two children, Ishani and her younger brother Ganner, in the cult.
Ishani's Force sensitivity first began to manifest shortly after she hit puberty. Her abilities would become especially apparent when she was under stress or emotional duress. Having been taught for her entire life that the Force was something that should be suppressed, she felt ashamed of her inability to control it. Her eventual acceptance of her Force sensitivity was dismissed by her family as teenage rebellion - and perhaps in some ways, it was.
Her first exposure to Sith teachings came from the Holonet. Initially horrified by what she learned, she gradually developed an interest in their more esoteric practices, particularly alchemy, and became convinced that they could help her control the Force that raged within her. Upon turning eighteen, Ishani led her parents to believe she would be attending the Chaldean Academy, where she would prepare to sever her Force connection. In reality, she boarded a shuttle headed to Korriban to start training at the Sith Academy...
