"Yes," Avalore smiled good naturedly, "I would like that. And yes, I imagine he's ears deep in peach-"

The door opened to reveal [member="Jacen Voidstalker"] with a plate in his lap and the distinct smell of strained peaches lingering in the air.

"-pie. I knew you couldn't wait." Chuckling, Avalore let Kana walk ahead of her through the doors and into the receiving chamber.

"We're going to the biodome, to the gardens," she said, as much to inform Kana as well as Jacen, "it's about the only place around here you can get any sunlight without being cooked alive in noxious fumes. Bit of a sanctuary for the Jedi that only get to see the sun when they leave Sullust." A brief, wayward glance of brown eyes was given to Jacen before turning back to Kana, "Why do you ask about the Homestead?"

Kana nodded her head in a greeting to Jacen and proceeded to step through the door. The smell of peach pie overwhelmed all senses, stomachs were made aware once more about the wonders of properly prepared food. As silly as it may have sounded, food was something that Kana had come to find a new appreciation for. After all, life on the run rarely ever provided you with the nutrition you needed and more often than not the rumble in your stomach was quieted by the tasteless sensation of carbohydrate-protein packs. At first they had proved to be hard to swallow but once you got used to the consistency it really wasn’t all that bad.

Still, it was nothing compared to actual food.

With her mind racing back on-track Kana smiled at Avalore’s comment about the fumes. They were an annoyance, that much was certain. The few times Kana had been allowed some time on the surface for her exercise routine there had been moments when she got herself a little too hot and bothered by them, that much was certain, but so far nothing too serious had happened.

“I don’t know, the fumes add a unique touch to the otherwise pretty doom and gloom environment in which I make my home these days.” Kana snickered as she noticed Avalore looked over at Jacen and then back at her. Kana couldn’t help doing the same. Her attention set on Jacen and then went back to Avalore who asked Kana about the homestead. Kana chuckled once more and slowly shook her head.

“I don’t know...” Yes, she did know. Kana let the shake of her head slow down and transition into an equally slow shrug. “I figured that once I get out of here I’d just love to go see it for myself. I mean, do you have any idea how much I looked up to Master Katarn?” Kana looked at Avalore with stars in her eyes so bright that she could have lit up the entire room. “He was an average man turned Jedi. It spoke to me and how I found the Order.”

“I mean, he was the reason I set up shop on Ruusan in the first place.” Kana let out a weak laugh before the smile faded. “And then everyone died.”

“I went to you, only to leave you and everything I cared about. And then...” The disgraced jedi shook her head. “All this happened.”

Kana set her eyes on the floor again. "Sorry."
