The droid just sort of reactivates. Set any stimuli you want. In the tombs of Ajunta Pall, Marka Ragnos, etc, there are droids programmed to attack on proximity with certain artifacts.

yeah, I'd say Velok's death and the Republic taking Korriban should have been a good stimuli for Vyperion MRK III to reawaken, but I didn't really have a muse for the guy or really know how to bring him out of stasis

Eddie will need to be against the Republic, if the plot accords. As the Republic begins venturing over the Korriban heights, the droid would reawaken near a Dark Lord's tomb after being transacted , to whom it may be unknown. The droid would then malfunction and rampage over the tombs, covering a strange thump under the outskirts.
