"ITS A BIRD, ITS A PLANE... oh wait, it is a Bird... Woman... Thing..."

[member="Morrigan"]

"And what is your now then miss Morrigan? We have revisited the past but what do you see for your future? Do you see the republic burning in flames, billions dying by your hand and them paying for killing your friends as they feel the same pain you have and they lose everyone they care about. Or perhaps you can forgive them and not case the death that you wish to cause, this is the question i pose for you and im curious what your plan is now."

"I would never burn and destroy so imprecisely. It would be just as bad as what happened to that planet a decade ago. I simply wish to find out who ordered the destruction, hunt them down, and kill them. But honestly, my life is mostly that of a boozer who acts when something is visibly wrong. I don't like seeing children or weak people attacked, and I don't enjoy wanton destruction. It's distasteful."

I smiled at the Exile.

"You think I'm absolutely insane, don't you?"

[member="Morrigan"]

"If anyone is insane here i think you've seen enough of my mind to realize im the one that is such. I think its time to focus on teaching you what i know though, and no need to go into your mind again, don't need me breaking down infront of you once more. Close your eyes and hold out your hands, im going to take them and soon you will feel a warmth growing inside you, its going to hurt at first but i need you to focus on that warmth and spread it throughout your body."

Lightning-Struck Angel
"Hurt, eh? Can't hurt more than what I just did to you, probably."

I closed my eyes and grinned, holding my arms out beside me, sensing my body heat rising.

And something was burning. I couldn't smell it, so much as taste and subconsciously feel it. It was like.... A hot shower. A hot shower where the water tasted like ghost peppers, and the heat could diffuse through my mind.

"This actually feels pretty good, though I'm sure I haven't felt the worst, yet."

[member="Morrigan"]

"No, you havent." He let the flame grow hotter, as if she would soon find it slightly painful and it was still getting hotter as he continued to kindle the flame inside her. Soon though the pain itself would be accompanied with a feeling soothing heat as well, mixing the feeling of pain and relief as they stood there.

More fire and heat washed over me, and it began to actually burn... But it was soothing as well. Still very much like a hot shower. My feathers separated like hairs, and stuck out. Every nerve was tingling.

"This still feels really good. Like having a caffeine buzz while you're in a hot tub. It's awesome."

[member="Morrigan"]

"Maybe im doing this wrong... i think you are ready but you should be in pain... huh. Ok try to push the fire to your hand, focus on a spark and visualize how that spark would grow. Not too much though, we dont need you starting a massive fire... oh and be careful, your first few times you will get some nasty burns on your hand, if it gets out of hand i will stop it, but be careful." He was concerned and careful, kind, and soft, not wanting his first student to get hurt... that would be bad.

I closed my eyes, and visualized my body heat shunting into my left hand. The fire seemed to leave the right side of my body cold as ice, but the left hot as a volcano. At least 100 Celsius. When i tried to move my right arm, it was encased in a sheet of ice. My right wing, too. Gradually my whole body except for my head, upper torso, and left hand were covered in ice.

"That's awesome... But am I supposed to be an ice princess right now?"

[member="Morrigan"]

He smiled and shook his head as she said that, knowing the feeling. "Focus on the flame Morrigan, this is a dangerous art and you can't be distracted, focus on generating it in your hand, focus on not letting it get away but not letting you get consumed by it. You will be burned the first few times, repeatedly, and the pain will be bad. But you have to trust me when i say that it is part of the training and you can't last without it."

"Pain, huh? Still just pleasan- OH FUCK."

The flame in my hand flared up as I slightly lost control, and then regained it. It finally burned me, and now I saw what Solan was talking about. I let the fire grow into a kind of shield around my hand, and the pain lessened as the sheen of ice spread over my left arm. But there was a large scorch mark over the tips of my fingers, and the palm of my hand.

"So that's what you meant."

[member="Morrigan"]

He blinked as she burned herself and it took absolutely everything in him to not move forward and force the flames under control for her. In his mind the words 'let her do it on her own' rang off, but he still was weary. "Ok, now i need you to carefully increase its size, it will likely burn you, but that is natural for the first dozen or so uses."

"Alright."

The flame grew as I focused on it, from a glove around my hand, to a ball of light that flowed as if it was alive. It pulsed, and heat flew through my body. The ice cracked and fell off, and I could feel my body heat returning, and the skin burning on my left arm.

[member="Morrigan"]

He reached over and closed his hand around the flames and ended them as he looked at her. "Thats enough... is your arm ok?" He looked at it, no doubt there being blisters and burns. "Sit down, i can heal it, and please don't argue." He would have her sitting one way or another, it was up to her if she wanted to be difficult or not.

"Eh? My arm's fine. I just overdid it trying to get the ice off. My fingers are scorched, but that's all. Doesn't even hurt, now."

I grinned at Solan, and shrugged.

"If you're really that bent on healing it, though, go ahead."

[member="Morrigan"]

He sat down and waited for her too, then without hesitation he gingerly took her arm, his hands gliding over it as he found the burns throughout the extent of her flesh. Slowly he targeted the harsher ones, healing them slowly and speeding up the natural regeneration of cells, while also removing the dead tissue if he could so to leave minimal scarring. His eyes remained closed the entire time and he seemed at a peaceful state that seemed almost impossible, kindness and clam washing from him to her as he tended to the burns.

It was interesting, watching the burns and blisters fade, and feeling the Force run over them.

"Nice trick. Don't suppose you've had to do that for yourself too much."

I sighed, and let the rest of the energy flow over me. The arm that wasn't burnt began to spark slightly, and a small fire began to burn on my index finger. The rest of my hand began to freeze again, this time in something that looked like a protective sheathe.

"Why does the ice keep popping up? It's interesting."

[member="Morrigan"]

"What i assume is it is an adverse reaction caused by some form of innate Cryokinesis... have you ever been able to make a piece of ice, or perhaps you were able to last with less in a cold condition where others would have frozen to death?" He came close to her, and by close, he came within two feet of her and seemed to study every inch of her body for more ice. He really was far more interested in the ice than her body but hey, he realized what it looked like and glanced at her eyes with bright, carefree, and cheerful gaze of his own. "By the way, no i am not checking you out physically, no need to send the fist that i am sure was to come."

"Well, the cold never bothered me, anyway. Probably has something to do with proto-feathers. I did find a block of ice on my bed one day, but I thought that was just because it was cold."

I winked at Solan, and laughed.

"There are certainly worse things than having a good-looking, if slightly less than sane, guy looking at me. Much worse."

The ice continued its way up my arm, onto my face, where it felt pleasantly cool in comparison to the flame spreading across my left side.

"I probably look like a total dork, now. Somebody trying to dress up as a superhero..."

[member="Morrigan"]

"Oh really miss?" He smiled a bit wider and turned his head to the side as he looked at her. "I think you would fit the visage of a superhero quite well, beautiful, strong, independent, and you would probably look quite nice in one of the costumes that they wear." He smiled, returning her comment about him being good looking tenfold.

"Oh? I guess I'll have to dress up one day, then."

Aurum gave a sharp screech that sounded a bit like a laugh.

I need to see that. I would probably hurt my throat from laughing so hard.

"Thanks for that."

I gave the sheen of ice on my face a sharp tap, and it cracked as I relaxed my control of the Force.

"I wonder what would happen if I concentrated."
