It's all about Control

Vaelokin the Apprentice of the One Sith walked into the training rooms within the Temple upon Prakith. It was a spacious training room, for many apprentices to fight and hone their skills. He figured if this was one of those blasphemous other Sith Factions, they would be wanting you to fight for survival of the fittest. He understood that, he craved that, but if he truly went for it, he would have to lie, betray, and be treacherous with his 'allies', and then kill them in the end. And once they were dead....He would feast upon their flesh. Simple.

But, he would have to wait until the day that he grew in power and he took what he would hopefully deem as his by right one day. For now, he would have to be content with combating his allies upon Prakith to hone his skills for the day that he truly meets a Jedi upon the field of battle, but for today, he would be starting off with @[member="Tiiona"]. A Miralukan, he believed. He doubted she was truly good at utilizing her lightsaber, or any form of close quarters combat, which was why he had offered to teach her as much as he could. Through a duel. You learned better through experience anyway. At least, that's supposedly how you would learn Force Drain. Though Vaelokin truly doubted that Darth Nihilus had had Force Drain performed upon him.

He would wait until she came, and he went down upon his knees, as if he was meditating, he closed his eyes and waited. Patience wasn't a virtue when it came to Vaelokin, nor was meditation, and due to that, he would have to wait consciously for his peer.

Someone took interest in her, it would seem. Tiiona was invited, or challenged one might say, into a duel. From what she gathered, or hoped, this would be more like a sparring match. Well, she hoped, alright, hoped it wouldn't go like that stuff at the gates. Further more, this would be her first real lightsaber duel, so she also hoped not to lose her life in such quite lame way. No, she was there to learn and there she was, by the doors.
Entering the chamber, even before entering it, actually, she would notice the huge demon-like beast meditating in the middle of it. She had heard of the demon race, the Maelibus, but seeing one was another matter. The young woman would stop five meters from him and wait. There was no need to interrupt a good meditation.

The Maelibus did not meditate. That was something that had deemed itself unimportant to be put into his Force abilities, and though he could try to meditate, and he could succeed for but a few moments of complete concentration and silence, it wasn't something that he focused upon and he rose up to his feet. "Are you prepared to duel?" He asked, and he rose from his position and walked to the other side of the room to get to the mat that he would be standing upon as a starting position.

In a moment the monster would wake and rise. Tiiona would hear his voice "Are you prepared to duel?". She wasn't, not really anyway. This was her first lightsaber duel after all, one could take their whole life to prepare for those. But instead she would not and assume a position on the opposite side of the chamber. Silently, her lightsaber hilt would fall into her right hand. Turning it on she would curiously inspect the beam of light, which apparently could cut your limbs off, if misused, something she should keep an eye out.... Yeah, this will take some to get used to. With a careful move pointing the tip of her blade at her opponent she would say. "Ready when you are, just hope you will go easy on a girl, right?"
@[member="Vaelokin"]

Vaelokin shook his head as if that was the silliest thing that he had ever heard in his life. "Do not expect your enemies to go 'easy on you." He said and he began his advance, a crimson beam already elongating from his hand as he moved towards her, no introduction to the duel, no bowing, no nothing. Just fight. And when he got to her, his lightsaber flashed around to her head as a red blur to cut at her right thigh.

Not grasping the subtlety of her comment, was the origin of the reply. And then @[member="Vaelokin"] began his approach, with the red beam of light in his hand. Startled by the sight of his attack Tiiona would not even maintain the light her own weapon and would only respond to her instinct which were were quite clear on this and honed to do it the best - dodge it. Sidestepping to the right she would avoid an injury then get back to her senses, this was a fight in which she was to learn lightsaber combat. So it was time to do just that. Igniting the red, she would swing it vertically at his left hand.

Vaelkin's left hand was the hand he used to hold his lightsaber, his main hand apparently, and he bent his wrist around the vertical strike, and batted her lightsaber to the side and he stepped back from her. "Use the Force to empower your body. Use the Control aspect of the Force." He commanded, and he was suddenly already moving at her once more, and then he halted his motion and barely bent his knees before he was soaring over her head, and angling his body downwards, swinging at the joint where the shoulder and collar met.

"Do not think, move." He said before he had even leapt.

Her strike was easily batted away. And his suggestion didn't do much good really as she was still a novice in that aspect of the force, but well, she could try. As the demon jumped, so lightly yet so heavy, Tiiona remained facing forward, which could be deceiving by appearing that she did not see him. But she did not need eye contact to see and in fact kept an eye on her opponent as he was above her. Twisting and turning around 180 degrees she would let the hot saber stream pass before her face, feeling the heat of light on her skin of a moment. Then, raising her weapon she would concentrate momentarily and thrust it with slightly increased speed where he ought to land.
@[member="Vaelokin"]

Vaelokin's lightsaber stayed pointing downwards and when he landed, the whole right side of his arm was caught by the lightsaber that @[member="Tiiona"] was using. It had been necessary to guide it to the side so that he may avoid being split in half, and when he did completely land, he landed in a graceful roll, and he turned to look at her. "Good." He said, and then he approached her as if he were a trapped animal, charging straight at her, though he was prepared to stop immediately if he had to, and just before he got to her, he stopped and pivoted in what appeared all to be in the same move, and he swung at her left side, with his own left-handed lightsaber.

Maybe she let the compliment into her heart, maybe she just felt she was doing okay. Whatever the reason Tiiona decided to try something new and clash the blades, instead of dodging the strike again. Not block it, no, it was quite obvious she did not have the muscle to match the monstrous strength of her opponent. Nah, the idea was to parry it. Stepping to her right she would turn her lightsaber so the tip faced the ground and let the Maelibus' oblique strike slide by it, making continuous hissing sound. And then, as her step finished she suddenly found herself at his exposed left, with his parried beam sword behind her. Rotating her saber horizontally she would slash forward, aiming to put a linear hole just above his left hip, assuming the sabers were adjusted to be powerful enough to accomplish that. These were Sith, but this was also a sparring match so who knows.

@[member="Vaelokin"]

Vaelokin lightsaber strikes could never be parried properly, he was always already moving his lightsaber in another direction it even hit it's target, so when @[member="Tiiona"] tried to guide his lightsaber to the side, she did more harm than good as his own lightsaber returned to his side, and changing into reversed grip, quite quickly and violently, smashed her lightsaber straight to the floor.

The Maelibus left nothing to chance and was already rolling on his right to avoid any other incoming strikes and when he turned back to her, he wa advancing slower this time. His lightsaber spun to her right, and when he made it seem as if he was continuing the attack, he pivoted partially on a foot, halted, and swung at her midsection.

Her opponent was obviously too good to fall for something as simple as this and Tiiona's beamblade was momentarily pinned before the tall Sith moved away, preparing for another attack. And she obtained a moment to think about crossing blades with him again. She was obviously at a disadvantage here. His slower approach was something she noted and did not like, as if he was being more careful himself, even though he had the upper hand. Maybe because of that she would not just stand there waiting for this attack to happen, but as he feinted to her right, she jumped back, evading the attack altogether. Her mind was now set on a way to launch her own attacks.

@[member="Vaelokin"]

The Maelibus stopped moving and instead threw out his hand at her while her feet travelled over the ground as she jumped back. The force push was released immediately without any hesitation, with pure malice and the want of destruction behind it. The fight had been fine, but if she thought that her enemies would only utilize lightsabers upon her, she was mistaken. They would throw everything they had at her, mostly in attempts to confuse her so that they may finish her off with a lightsaber, though he didn't say anything. His actions should be a enough to understand.

She the Miraluka jumped back, an unseen wind of force would claim her and pull her away from her opponent. Quite an interesting detail was that she could actually see the force coming from the Maelibus and pushing her aside. And she'd get pushed right up to a wall. In a quick display of grace and fine acrobatics she'd flip into a horizontal position she it was her feet that reposed upon the surface instead of her back crashing into it. At that moment her hand would relax and the beam of light would cease momentarily. Using the moment she would push away from the wall, lunge forward into a roll shoot her left fist forward to unload her own force push. However, unlike her opponent she would not push him whole, her target would be his right leg, hopefully making him lose his ground, if not that at least breaking his base before following up with a saber thrust.

@[member="Vaelokin"]

The Sith Apprentice let himself be taken by the force push, and when it pushed his right leg back, he almost tripped forwards, but when he saw her lightsaber thrust he was leaning backwards, and with his left leg, stepped to the side to stabilize his base, and with a powerful swing of his hand, his left hand trying to wrap the Force around her form and holding it in position as best as he could, which probably wasn't that good considering he was an Apprentice, and he literally smashed her lightsaber to the side in a powerful parry, it was blinding fast, and the point was to send her lightsaber out of her hand from sheer strength.

He didn't step up his attack.

Yea... it happened, you know. The demon and his might overwhelmed Tiiona's light grip, tearing the weapon from her hands. All her reflexes screamed for her to pull the pistol and put a bullet in his head and all of them would be silenced by her restraint for this was a training match and she knew in a real life situation she would have shot the guy ages ago. But just as the Maelibus showed he did not mind using other ways to attack he, she too was not too shy to employ other ways.

Using the fact that her opponent was in an after-swing position she would move to his, probably exposed, left while keeping in mind he could reverse the grip as he did the last time. To prevent such an attack the Miraluka would put her left hand on his elbow while keeping her force sight focus on his saber. And well, as her counter attack she would swing her right leg horizontally to slam it into his rib cage.

@[member="Vaelokin"]

The Maelibus was indeed in mid-swing, and when he was pulling his arm, the girl with no eyes grabbed his elbow, he was unsure why however, it was his main-hand after all, and she had grabbed it. The only thing that showed his disapproval of her actions was a grunt as her right leg came up, and she barely received a reaction from it. If anything, it probably hurt her more than it hurt him, mostly due to because it was a glancing strike on him.

You see, he wasn't going to simply let her grab his elbow, and so he was already sliding his scaled arm away from her, and bringing his lightsaber around to simply split her in half from between her legs and upwards. But, he halted in mid-movement, and instead brought his left leg up and kicked directly into her centre-mass in a side-kick, aiming to end the fight then and there, and most likely putting her in a medical ward for a while.

Her opponent's skin was considerably hard, enough to negate pretty much any damage her kick would have inflicted, but sadly not hard enough to make her injure herself. Foreseeing the intended move with the saber Tiiona would keep moving to prevent any attacks from landing. With a lunge she would shoot behind him, building up momentum. In a second her mental eyes would find the saber she was using in this fight, on the ground. Remembering its location she would continue the move, with a light jump and a twist finding herself vertical upside down above him. Her left hand would be mere inches away from him shoulder in case she needed to push away and her right hand pointed in the remembered direction of the lightsaber would summon the weapon in her hand with force.

@[member="Vaelokin"]

When she lunged behind him he stuck out his leg to try and trip her. Whether she got past him or not, it didn't matter for if she was on her feet or on the ground, in that second that she took to locate her lightsaber his foot would have already towards her face. A second was a long time in a battle, a second was enough time for someone to die in a fight between two force users. A second was life and death. Vaelokin meant to show her that.

If she did continue to try and leap over him he woulld have stepped back with a quick step out of her range and released another force push to her body to try and throw her further into the air.

A rather dull observation flew in Tiiona's mind as she was flying backwards once more after being tripped and kicked - her opponent was clearly strong. As her feet touched the floors again, the friction would pull her legs and she would fall on her back, although with a fine acrobatic move the Miraluka would instinctively maneuver herself on her feet once more, but not without pain. The first was starting to bore her however, there was no way to approach this guy and she was itching to just pull a gun and blow a hole in his demonic face.

But instead she would pull her lightsaber by extending her hand and calling it with the force. She'd grasp it with her right hand, igniting the red flow and bring it in a horizontal position by her right shoulder while her left hand was in front of her. Her best choice as always was to counter his massive attacks.
