It's Almost Like Déjà Vu -[Christian]

She wanted to blend in, but stand out. Was that even possible? Oh, but somehow, she would desperately try to do just that. While Kalina was raised on Dathomir, she still had so much of the galaxy ahead of her. If her practices taught her anything, it was that she was meant for more.

Now, what more meant, exactly? She could not answer that. Maybe it was just that tender spot of wanderlust that had her longing for something else. She had hitched rides with people going to different places, even had to fight one of them after trying to get something in return for his kindness...but Kalina was sure that he couldn't use his hand for quite some time after she broke it, and heard it crack in 3 different places. If one thing could be said about Kalina Volk, was that she knew how to take care of herself, and wouldn't allow herself to become a target.

After heading from Dathomir to Naboo, then from Naboo to Ord Mantell, all the way back to Coruscant, she hitched a ride from Coruscant to Zeltros, where she was reminded of Coruscant, but a lot..happier.

Upon doing some research, she found that the Zeltron race was quite interesting, no doubt. Their species had two livers, and they even reached out to influence others with the pheromones. How fascinating.

* * * *

For all intents and purposes, Kalina was a wandering soul, and tonight she found herself at the Southern Providence of Zeltros, a party district, so to speak. She was a little solemn, but she did not feel out of place, she was much too confident for that. As she walked along the streets in a black cloak, she saw how provocative these people were, but not only the Zeltrons, but the others, too. Kalina didn't have much money, so she found one of the free clubs that allowed her in, but she never had a problem with people turning her down before. She looked at the dance floor, and how people moved, it almost reminded her of the rituals she used to practice...

But eventually, Kalina found herself at the bar, but when she was asked what she wanted, she looked a little stunned. "I don't know.." Kalina started, and must have sounded a little silly. The bartender gave her a frustrated look but she looked around to the other people that had their drinks. "I'll just have water, please." For now, anyway. She might not have much money, but she would still allow herself to get something to drink tonight, if only just to have a little fun, a new experience.

Only time would tell where he next chapter would begin.

"You're testing my patience, Garro." a deep and displeased voice claimed, which had come from the tallest of three men who entered a speeder at a lone estate in the hilly outskirts of the city. It was completely secluded, which was what Christian preferred, but on a night like tonight he needed a little change of pace. That was why they'd had the argument about who would be driving. An argument that Christian had, and would always win, especially when those he was arguing with were his own bodyguards. Even that sounded a little ridiculous, however, considering his bodyguards were only as useful as they were strong and that the real threat was undoubtedly the Sith Lord they were protecting.

He had always found reason to keep them around, however, because it kept things normal. Or, at least, it gave the appearance that things were. He certainly shouldn't be making his way around the city in nice speeders and ships dressed to the nines without bodyguards at the very least. "You'll damn well drive if I tell you to drive, you spoiled idiot. I'm not paying you a small fortune to stand around and look... well... not pretty. "Bored", I suppose would be the most appropriate word for the dumbfounded looks you most often display."

There wasn't another word until they got to the Southern Province, the portion of town that was closest to his estate, situated in the hill covered wilds to the South of the Capital. It wasn't the most expensive part of the city, but it'd take him hours to make it all the way across to the Northern end of the Capital, and he'd be in a ship rather than a speeder. A trip he was not all that interested in taking. The Southern Province was a higher class part of Zeltros, however, with rich men and women mingling with the most practiced and appealing Zeltroni men and women who were not just good at what they did, but they enjoyed it.

He wasn't after pink skin and obnoxious pheromones tonight, however. As he made his way into one of the free clubs and found a table, followed by his pair of guards, he had his heart set on a good glass of whiskey and perhaps a pretty woman to ogle for a while. He cast those crimson eyes in the direction of the bar, narrowing his eyes at a few young women he saw that gauged his interest. There was plenty of time to decide whether or not he'd hang around and make something of his night. Perhaps he'd get drunk. Perhaps he'd dance. Perhaps he'd make an adulteress out of a pretty little number who'd married a man much too old to hold her attention. Only time would tell.

"How about you let me buy you a real drink, gorgeous?" A gruff, much older man came and sat next to Kalina at the bar. She didn't even acknowledge the man, not at first, but when her water finally arrived, she took a sip of it.

"No thank you, I am just fine." She replied in a dark tone of voice. The man, however, did not take the hint, and he looked at the bartender.

"Something pink, and girly for this fine woman." Kalina slowly turned her head and gave him this most disgusted face

"First of all, I said...no thank you. I have no interest in you buying me drinks. And I also find it rather offensive that you assume that my drink of choice is something pink and girly. Now, if you do not mind, I would much rather be alone, or perhaps in the company of another, proper male."

"Aw, don't be like that, sweetheart." The man, who had quite a pair of durasteel testicles, decided to move his hand to touch her waist. Kalina would not have any of that. In a fit of anger and frustration, she reached with the opposite hand of the side that he was touching, and she quickly grabbed his hand and twisted. The man let out this cry of pain, but it was just so that Kalina could reach out and put her hand around his neck, no matter how thick and bulky he was, she found this no issue.

He grip tightened on his throat and she squeezed until he turned this reddish purple. "I gave you a warning....I will not give you another."

"Hey! That's enough!" The bartender yelled as he was calling security...perhaps Kalina wasn't ready for this kind of atmosphere since it all seemed foreign to her.

"I warned him." Kalina looked down at the man, now on his knees, and she finally let go, and raised her hands in the air, in a surrender stance. "Fine, fine." She growled, and then she took her water to try to find a more quiet place in the club, but it seemed all of the tables were taken for the time being...in frustration, she just stood near one of the walls, and put her water on there...she thought about leaving, but in reality..she had no where to go to right now, she might as well stay here and see if anything interesting was about to happen. Now, after causing a scene in the place, she was sure she'd get some negative attention.

Christian was still searching the scene of the bar when one of his bouncers brought him a whiskey dry. He took his first sip and sighed, the skin of his brow rippling as he tasted the drink for the first time. He'd get used to it after a few more sips, and he'd have plenty more of that same drink until his senses dulled and his body grew numb. A felling he was not at all foreign too as of late. As he took his second sip, however, his brow arched for a different reason as his attention was gained by a bit of commotion over at the bar.

Watching the woman carefully, Christian smiled at the sight of what appeared to be a woman that didn't take kindly to the advances of a lesser man than most others in the establishment. She was quite beautiful, which was something he'd decided the moment he laid eyes on her, noting her lean, toned form and pretty face. She seemed to be more than just near physical perfection, however, from what he could see, which made the woman all the more enticing.

"Garro.", Christian said as he looked over to the bodyguard who had not brought him his drink. "You've been a big bag of useless tonight. So you get to be my guinea pig.", he said, noting the man's displeasure in the glance that he received from him. "I'd rather just have a drink and relax, Christian.", he said in reply, though the young entrepreneur wasted no time in his reply. "You'll do as you're told, but don't worry. I just want you to go and hit on that woman there.", he said, raising his hand and extending a long, powerful digit towards the woman named Kalina Volk. Someone he would get to know if he had his way. "You'll be leaving this with me, though.", he said as he leaned over and reached beneath the man's jacket, pulling out a plaster and setting it on the table between the three of them.

"Now... make yourself scarce."

[member="Kalina Volk"]

It was really her debating on leaving, which was why she didn't pay enough attention to what was going on around her. However, in her peripheral vision, she noticed someone getting up from a table, which made her look at the one that Garro was coming from. She took notice right away, seeing three men sitting there, and she looked at the one. The one man sat there, his eyes around the bar, but the other? The other had his eyes on her for a moment. She made eye contact, and something about him stuck out to her so much, that she didn't even pay much attention when Garro approached her.

His voice was what did it for her, she blinked away and looked right at the man who just began with a brief "Excuse me, miss?"

If only looks could kill, this man would be slaughtered by the look that she was giving him. Kalina put a hand up as if to stop him from what he was saying. "Before you continue on, you better think carefully about what I did to that man at the bar, and think carefully about the words you are going to say now, or else I'll have no problem ripping out your tongue."

Garro seemed just a little shocked, as if he wasn't sure what to say now. "I just wanted to tell you how beautiful you looked tonight, and if I could buy you a drink?"

Kalina staffed for a second, and then she let out a small sigh. "No thank you." She knew that she was being a little harsh, but Kalina couldn't help but to keep her eyes on Christian yet again before her attention was turned back. "You can tell your friends that your attempt failed..I'm assuming you men have made a bet of some kind...or something."

"Not a bet..."

The chilling whisper would leave Christian's mouth carried with care by the invisible force. Even the warmth of his voice would brush the woman's ear as Christian's eyes shifted from her to his bodyguard. "Leave.", one word materialized in the man's mind for him and him alone, and not a moment later he bowed to the woman in respect, turned and walked out of the bar. Christian had realized that Kalina was finding it about as hard to keep her eyes off of him as it was for him to do that same with her. The only catch was, Christian didn't care where his eyes settled. No one bothered or worried him, and so he looked where he pleased and did what he pleased with some slight care involved.

Of course he didn't care what kind of trouble he would get into. He was more than capable of protecting himself, but he didn't want to appear like he was some lowlife ruffian either. He wasn't the type to start bar fights or start throwing drinks and turning over tables in a tantrum because the girl you came with was more interested in someone else. It was beneath him, and if someone pushed him he'd just buy the bar and kill whoever he didn't like.

"You can leave, Kester.", Christian said, glaring crimson eyes still watching the woman at the bar. "You've been good tonight, but about the only thing you can protect me from is a pair of college kids getting rowdy when they've had too much to drink. I don't need you. Take the rest of the night off.", he told the man, who slowly slid out of the booth and left the bar after the other man. All that was left to do now was to see how long it would take for the woman to move.

[member="Kalina Volk"]

She heard that whisper, that brush near her ear, which automatically sent a chill down her neck, making the hairs on the back of her neck stand up. It shivered all the way down her spine, and she looked back at the table to see the man's eyes lock with hers. She keep a weary eye on him, though, just to make sure that he wasn't trying to harm her or anything. But something about him seemed very...unknown, and something about a girl's curiosity made her just want to know more about him.

The use of the Force was quite frankly very obvious, however she did look to the man that bowed to her, out of respect, which she felt was more than what she got throughout the entire night thus far. Maybe Kalina just wasn't used to be treated the way that others were around planets such as these...she was always a more proper kind of girl....at certain given times, of course.

She watched the man a little closely, to see what he was doing, and it seemed like the other man that had sat with him was also getting up and walking away. That made her lick her lips and Kalina brought her water with her. But she seemed to help herself on her way there towards his table. Once she approached, Kalina did not sit down, she did not say a word, at first. She sat her water down on Christian's table, then she crossed her arms and had a smile on her face. "So, it was not a bet?"

Christian glanced up at Kalina with an amused look upon his face as he watched the woman climb so willingly into his web. He'd already made up his mind that he would have this beautiful creature, whether it be that very night or some time in the future, but for now he would further drive the stake into her heart and make it practically impossible for her to resist. He did have such a way with women, after all, and this one would be no exception if he had his way. He couldn't help but to think that he wasn't the only one playing the game, however, and that she might be stringing him a web as well.

"More of a test, really, and though he is polite, the man is but a fool.", Christian said as he raised his glass to take a sip of whiskey with one hand, offering the woman the seat on the other side of the table with the other. When he did, he glanced at the both in front of him and suggested that it was alright for her to join him if she liked so that their game of cat and mouse could truly commence, for it would begin sooner or later.

[member="Kalina Volk"]

"A test?" She questioned, and then she gave him a little smirk, though it was through hooded eyes. She was careful, she always was, because she knew that no one in the galaxy could protect her except for herself. She always had to keep her eyes open, her mouth shut, and listened to what was going on around her so that she could better understand her surroundings. This man, however...this man got her thinking a little more. "I would say that I hoped I passed, however to be completely blunt with you, I do not care if I did or not." Now that, she said with confidence. She was not there to meet dates or impress people...but if something like that came out of the situation, she wouldn't find that to be a problem.

Kalina looked from the empty seat, back to the dark and mysterious man, before she helped herself sitting down. "And while that man might be a fool, as you say, he was enough to have him conduct your little...test." Kalina reached and took a drink of her water. Her eyes just seemed to lock with his, and she honestly found it hard to look away.

"But it is not so much the fool that I am interested in. I except a man that holds as much...power to him is much less foolish. You do have that power aura around you, which does have me curious about you."

Christian narrowed his eyes on the woman as she took her seat, letting her finish what she had to say only glancing away from her to call for service from the waitress. He reached up and tugged his index finger back towards himself a couple of times, holding up the drink in his hand, and in no time at all she brought him a pair of glasses, gold liquid without ice within. The next moment, Christian turned his glass up with a gulp and slid the empty one to the edge of the table for her to take. He then took his fresh glass, leaving the other for the woman who had joined him if she so desired it.

"You don't care?", He asked, regarding her bit about his test and raising his glass, allowing his pretty crimson eyes to slant to a close as he swayed it beneath his perfect nose to smell it's contents. "I don't believe you.", were the next words out of his mouth as those enticing eyes of his opened again and fell back to the woman's youthful, facial features. "He served his purpose, of course, like the white pawn played first to test the waters in a game of chess. Yet, he has been squandered by his King in pursuit...", he said, raising his free hand to gently brush the drink across the table with the force, the sound of glass grinding gently against wood filling the silence before it stopped in front of her. "...of the Queen."

[member="Kalina Volk"]

Kalina noted how he had the waitress's attention, the way that his long finger curled so that the digit was successful in getting the woman to come over and abide by his request, but it was without a word exchanged between them, which told Kalina one of two things. Either he was a man of some importance in this place of business, or he just liked to take control a little bit...perhaps both, but for the time being, she stayed quiet. She looked at the glasses that came to them, yet she didn't take it, not yet.

When Christian said that he didn't believe her, her own lips curled into a smile. "Good. A gullible man isn't a strong one." She told him plainly, and then she listened to what else he had to say...already, she liked his demeanor. When she heard the glass slide right into her direction, she put her hand over the top of the rim, and she then raised the glass to take a sniff of the alcohol herself.

He seemed...fun.

"Where I come from...it's the Queen that is in pursuit of the King. However, he just doesn't know it. She has some Bishops, some Knights of course, but it's the King that has her eyes." Kalina raised the glass, keeping her dark eyes on him the whole time as she took the sip, enjoying the taste already while she felt that sweet burn down her throat.

"But in the end, they're all Pawns in her game." Kalina finished off the glass, and she slid it back across towards him.

Christian watched the woman carefully as she replied, the smirk on his face getting a bit wider as she tried to explain a bit about what sounded like a foreign culture, at least to him. "Is that so?", he asked, his bloody eyes turning down to the table at the glass she slid back towards him as he took a sip of his own. He then raised his free hand, snapped his fingers, and in about a minute there was a fresh glass delivered to their table once more.

"Tell me a bit about your culture, woman...", he said, taking another sip of his whiskey, pacing himself unlike his new friend. "Is it the female that is the superior in your world?", he asked.

[member="Kalina Volk"]

"That is so." Kalina told him, her eyes almost staring him down. But it seemed as though he was more curious about her now, which made her smile slightly more. Kalina didn't mind drinking quickly, there was no need to pace herself because she felt that she had no reason to hold back. But his gesures, his movements, they were noted before another glass arrived at the table. When he called her woman, she mentally cringed, and tried her best not to wear her reactions on her sleeve, but she may have twitched her eye angrily at the sound of that.

"My name is Kalina, you can address me by that." She told him, her tongue lashed out to wet her lips slightly before returning her mindset to the conversation at hand. "The female is most definitely superior. Some females even keep males as slaves, but....not me. Males are very strong, stronger than women, and while some from my culture believe it improper for a man to take control, I suppose I find it more of a turn on." No need to hold back the truth in the matter, perhaps it was the lack of a male present in her childhood, but it was most certainly no lie.

"Dathomir culture, actually. Nightsisters to be more specific. However tonight, consider me just a girl looking for a good time."

In Darkness I Thrive
Christian smiled at the woman's response, noting her distaste at his words, but such warning didn't lay heavy on the Sith. She was, after all, just another woman he wanted to bed, but he got the feeling that she was much more. She was an enticing thing, to say the least, with a mean streak that he wanted to test out for himself when the time was right. "Oh ho. The lady has a sharp tongue I see.", he said as he leaned forwards from the seat behind him, resting on his elbows as he watched her more carefully now, crimson oculars widening ever so slightly as he took a moment to look her up and down before his eyes found hers again.

"Well...", he said, switching the glass of whiskey from his right to his left slow and smooth. "...something tells me that you like being called worse when the mood is right.", he whispered, eyes narrowing again as he examined her reaction to that comment before reaching out with his rather large right hand, palm up and his hand unfolded to take hers in a proper greeting. "Christian Slade. It's a pleasure to meet you, Kalina."

[member="Kalina Volk"]

He seemed to appreciate her quick qit, a sharp tongue so he called it. But Kalina continued to keep herself composed whiles he found herself more or less staring at the man in the best way possible. She was sure thoughts of them together were running through his head, perhaps that's what he wanted tonight, to claim her as his own, even if it was just a few hours in his bed. Though Kalina found more to it than that, it could be that he was just that smooth, that seductive, at least to someone like her. But she really did enjoy it.

"When the mood strikes..." Kalina started to repeat after him, but it was to add her own little twist on what he said. "...my tongue can be a lot quicker, and a lot sharper." She saw him reach his hand out to her then Kalina put hers in his, to extend her own greeting. "Kalina Volk. I won't lie, Christian, I find your presence rather...intriguing."

[member="Christian Slade"]

Christian Slade

In Darkness I Thrive
Christian continued to smile at the woman with that cool, confident smile he had as she responded in kind. And when he replied he didn't waste a second in retort to what she'd said. "Oh, I'm aware. I could tell you were pleased with what you saw the moment you laid eyes on me. Although, I don't want to sound too cocky. I'm just good at reading the eyes.", he said, raising his right hand from hers to gently lay the back of his index and middle finger across his cheek, both pointing up to his right eye. As he did, part of the spell circle tattooed in black in the palm of his hand was visible, and though it was lightly faded, it was still very prominent in his skin.

"You see...", he said as he raised his left hand to tip the edge of his glass against the bottom of his lip and take a sip of his drink, then sighing before he continued. "...these eyes see a great deal... In fact, they saw right through you the moment you walked through that door.", he claimed, a smirk rising in the corner of his mouth, lips spreading just wide enough to reveal a sharp, menacing, canine.

"They saw those dark eyes of yours and it was all over.", he said, taking another sip of his drink and sighing lightly as he pushed further with his guest. "I can practically taste the darkness in your heart, such a sweet, yet stinging soul you posses. Practically a demon with mortality binding you to this life. And did you think I couldn't smell the force rushing through your veins?", he asked her, his right hand finally falling from his face and gripping the edge of the table tight.

"It's very exciting to make your acquaintance, Kalina."

[member="Kalina Volk"]

He was right, she really was pleased with him the moment that she saw him, Kalina was eager to meet him just because of the way that he looked at her, and she would never forget that look, never. It was no surprise that he could read her, whether it was because he was surrounded by the dark power or not, it just made Kalina expect a little more from him because of that. He set the bar high for himself, and she would expect to see him hit that and beyond every single time.

While some might find the things he said offensive, or downright wrong, she did not. She opened her heart and soul to the Forces of the Darkside long ago and embraced it ever since. She had no shame, and she did not give a reason why, Kalina knew exactly what was going on in her soul, as dark and sour as it was, he decided to use that phrase..such a sweet yet stinging soul that she possessed.

"I suppose then, the argument could be made that both of us could smell the darkside of the Force running through both of our veins, making us a target for one another." She did notice his hand, but let it go for the time being, though she would ask him about it at a later time. "The only thing binding me to this life, dear Christian, is the desire to be one with that, so you called it, demon. Everyone has a a box of dark regrets that they wish to share with no one, the difference between me and them is that I have no problem showing everything. If I could do such wonderful things to your eyes, to the Force that you bind with, imagine what I could do with the rest of you." That sinister grin spread across her lips once more.

"The pleasure is all mine"

Christian Slade

In Darkness I Thrive
Christian listened to the woman, letting his smirk fall from his face to be replaced by a more serious expression. He then raised both arms and leaned back into his seat again, narrowed eyes still watching the woman, crimson orbs peeking through thin slits of skin at her. He liked what he heard and he wanted what he saw, but what would she truly do? Would she follow up on her promises or let them become hollow and untrue? Would she allow herself just to be another notch on his bedpost... or was she aiming for more?

"...and just what will you be showing me tonight?", he asked as the tip of his tongue brushed the bottom of his lip to moisten it a bit as if parched and in need of a drink. He then lifted his glass in response to his subconscious need, turning up the rest of his drink in a couple of gulps, starting to drink a bit faster as he felt the familiar tingle of alcohol numbing his system. He needed more, however, as it was his addiction after all, though he might have very well been looking a new addiction in the eye that moment.

He slid the glass to the edge of the table without looking for the waitress again, though he did bother to snap his fingers a second time, and before long another drink was delivered. His eyes didn't leave hers as he was unwilling to lose this stare down, which disappointed the little waitress a bit as her sweet smile went unseen. She wasn't for him, though. She was too innocent for that. In fact, Christian had a particular taste in women that she would never be able to replicate. He liked the mysterious. He liked the dark. And he liked naughty.

"What do you want to do with the rest of me?", he asked with a curious, yet almost comical and playful look on his face as if trying to show her doubt in order to press her patience. "Because I'm not sure that you can handle me..."

[member="Kalina Volk"]

What did she want to show him tonight? Oh, she could have the mouth of a pirate right then, but that's not exactly what she was trying to get at. Kalina was realizing that the best, most attractive part of the night so far was playing and teasing with this man, Christian. It seemed that they both liked that part, or else one of them would grow restless and give up, but now it seemed like something that she wanted to win at, if this was considered a game tonight.

She watched the little things he did, the way that his tongue touched his lip, like he was tempting her and he might have been doing it on purpose, but then again, maybe that was his goal. "I would be showing you a night that you would never forget." Which of course could be taken in many different ways, but Kalina saw that look in his eyes, a set of eyes that she would never forget. She noticed him snapping his fingers, and she didn't move either, not her eyes off of him, but she decided to do something else. "Trust me, I can handle you."

Kalina leaned in, and since he did not take his drink right away, Kalina reached out with the Force, just a little, enough for the glass to slide into her hand. She took the glass and raised it to her lips, before she took a sip of the freshly poured glass. "But I can guarantee that you have never, ever handled anyone like me before, dear Christian."

Christian watched the woman's hand as she reached out and tugged his glass across the table to her. He laughed lightly as she displayed her force for him, confirming what he had already known about her. Something about the way she was willing to be so bold and take his drink from him made him like her anymore, however, and it wasn't long before he forgot about the drink and turned his attention back to her.

"So.", he said, leaning back into the booth seat he was in, either of his arms raising to either end of the backrest to drape across the top of it. "Shall we find a nightclub to attend so that we can get a little tired first?", he asked, not necessarily interested in the prior. "Or shall we retire to my estate in the hills at the edge of the city?", he asked, realizing that one way or another, this woman would be exhausted the next day. He'd make sure of it.
