It's Funny What You Find While on the Run (Alexandra Feanor)

Being able to see through the force had it's perks. When one would channel power through it, whether it be as simple as the art of movement or a more complex channeling such as a ritual, force sight would allow the user to quite literally see the force and it's movement. And in this case, for a blind half-Miraluka, it was a rather great ally. Though he was not born with the ability to see through the force like other's of his kind, as his Epicanthix heritage was what took priority in his blood for whatever reason; his kin, the Miraluka who raised him, did teach him to see through the force so he would not wander around blind for the rest of his days.

And in this moment, it sure as hell came in handy.

Vaulkhar would continue to move towards her, watching as her channeling of the force enveloped her in it's power. As she would thrust the power forwards toward him, he'd quickly dash to the side and jump out of the way. Using the force, he enhanced his movement slightly, mainly the jump, not so much the dash. So he cleared nearly a dozen feet with his leap, avoiding the push in it's entirety. The man would come up quickly, turning to face the direction of the woman who launched the force push. He'd quickly raise his saber upon standing and hold it defensively.

As he rose his saber, instead of an attacking young woman, he would find her looking at him like he was some artistic marvel. "Good... you move with experience... am i correct to assume you understand the usage of force sight and how to adapt it to the seeing eye of the physical and mental world?" Her hands were crossed one over the other infront of her chest with eye scanning over him for a few more moments before nodding. "Good stance, definitely needs a bit more work on your recovering as i could have cut you down before you had gotten up. Lets see..."

She started to circle him, almost with no regard for the fact that she had asked the man to cut her with his own blade. Her sabers were still in her hands but she seemed far too relaxed to even notice she was holding the. She even seemed more focused on studying him than anything else before smiling. "Very well done, and here i thought the sith were getting sloppy with their teachings... They forgot one thing though..." She smiled as she would wait for the man to either attack or ask what.

Vaulkhar looked Alexandra over as she spoke, not bothering to interrupt her words. In reality, he believed everything she said. Within the Sith he was a Knight, a warrior who fought basically as a grunt within the ranks of force users. Yes, the Sith focused on martial prowess for their warriors. And yes, the Sith likely put forth the most skilled and powerful warriors the galaxy had to offer. But in reality, as stated, he was just a grunt. There were likely thousands within the galaxy that could best him in single combat. Something he intended on changing. But for now, he had to play the games of those he would call masters, and those he would call foe.

The woman before him reminded him much of his former master, Vengeance. Similar to Vengeance, she moved with the grace and skill of a practitioner of Makashi. Unlike his former master, who was of course, a master of Makashi. He was simply proficient. But he could see very well the same movements within Alexandra and Vengeance. Could his former master defeat his future master? Unlikely. He fought until a standstill with Corvus Raaf, yes. But she was just a Jedi. Shaking his head and removing himself from the daze he was in, the young man returned his attention to Alexandra.

"And what is that?"

She grinned once before leaning forward till her body was about a foot from his blade with the words leaving her. "Always attack when your enemy is off guard. If they present you an opening then you take it. If they present you without a defense, you claim the life. So what will you do right now i ask, your blade is a flick away from doing as i asked." She smiled. If he still had any loyalty to the sith he would aim to kill with the opening that he gave her, not that she would let the blow land but she was still going to wait and see if he simply cut or tried to kill her.

"Well. Im waiting."

Vaulkhar considered his options heavily.

As an Epicanthix, he knew his mind was locked up tighter than any physical vault. Anything he came up with, any plans or decisions, were his own. He knew that despite his minor show of force speed earlier, it was likely she did not fully grasp his skill in the art of movement. Though she'd likely plan for it, putting everything into his attack would likely surprise her enough to at least follow through with a powerful combination of blows to cut her flesh.

But what if it was a test?

His time in the Sith had taught him just about anything posed by a possible master or superior could be a test. A simple brawl, a maze, a puzzle, anything could be a test to determine overall skill or worth. But there was one thing he learned during his time in the Sith. From the man he considered his father, his former master. And that was honor.

"It is not honorable to strike an enemy who is not prepared. Though I am sure you can best me, even unarmed, it is not the right thing to do."

All he would see is her pout as she moved her eyes to glance down past his saber. While she had been talking, drawing his focus, her hand had been moving to place the direction of one of her sabers in his and then moving the hand to position where the blade would leap out at his gut, her second saber still clutched in such a way that she could activate it upon a moments notice before shaking her head. "Honor is good, but when you are fighting your enemy, they will use any tactic to get by your defenses. Even be it family, love, or simple seduction. An enemy can do anything to get close and when they do... you better hope you understand their movements before they can even make them. Do you understand?"

Vaulkhar studied the situation, not entirely surprised by what had transpired simply nodded in understanding. He held his lightsaber firmly within his right hand, laughing at the sudden turn of events. He knew he did not underestimate her, and just as expected, here they were. She could kill him because he was not fully on his guard. Beautiful.

"So, what now, master?"

He simply grinned, enjoying the entire situation.

She looked at him closely before stepping back and grinning, letting go of her sabers and letting them drift to her belt and attach themselves to her side. "I think, its time for a good drink, Ale or tea?" She started over towards the stairway that would lead back down to the grounds of the temple. From there it was a simple walk to what had once been the council chambers, nothing grand or over the top. After all the temple compound still had alot of work to be done like getting the security drones back online before she could welcome back any true students.

"Tea for me, please."

Vaulkhar deactivated his lightsaber and returned it to it's place at his side. He raised his hands and began to stretch before releasing a short yawn as well. After completing his stretch he hurried to catch up to Alexandra. Looking around the area, he could tell it was once rather beautiful, and in a cryptic and somewhat aged way, it still was. But there appeared to be so much to be done. With his new place at Alexandra's side, hopefully as a student, he may be able to aid her in some way or another. That was the least he could do if she took him on.

"Anything I can do to help, master?"

Her head turned as she walked without sight of the path for a few moments. She didn't even require the force to tell her how much farther due to how many times she had walked these steps. "No Vaulk... I understand your wanting to help and please, do not call me master. I have never required my students call me such, especially when we are alone. If you wish you may call me Alexandra, i am fine with such. Either way, i thank you for the offer but you must understand that the repairs and cleaning of the temple must be left to myself and my droids. It has long since been my time here and now that i am back i feel at fault for the decline of the Order. I had let a personal... attachment stray me from what was important and that was the furthering of knowledge in the force and spreading its power to those like you."

Vaulkhar remained silent upon her objection and allowed her to speak. It appeared a sense of duty was what forbid her from allowing his aid. That was something the young man could understand. With his recent acquisition of his own apprentice, it was his own sense of duty and moral code that did not allow Vaulkhar to permit other Sith to train his young apprentice. And with his current situation, standing in the remains of an order his newest master had once ran, he understood her reasoning. To allow another, one who sought her out to teach him, to aid her in rebuilding what she supposedly failed, would be dishonorable. He would not dishonor the woman who now taught him.

"Yes ma'am, Alexandra it is."

Much like his former master, she did not require a title. Simply a name and the respect one should give to their master. Of that, Vaulkhar was proud. With his earlier teachings, the discipline of calling one a master was ingrained into the mind of young Sith. Those who did not do so tended to be harmed, and even killed in extreme cases. The lax relationship between his new master and the young man was most certainly appreciated.

"What would you have me do then, Alexandra?"
