It's Getting Hot in Here (Galactic Alliance Meet and Greet)

Poor, poor Anton. Talking about Isis made him so upset he had to bury his face in Toby's neck until the tears subsided. A comforting green hand reached out to lay on the man's shoulder and soothe his distress.

"I hope that both you and Toby are out of danger now." she told the pair.

Busting up slave rings was something that Knight Visz couldn't have been more passionate about. It was part of the reason she and Master Oomomo joined the Galactic Alliance in the first place. When Anton mentioned his blog, Chevu nodded vehemently.

"Yes, please send me all the details, Anton. I would like to send a reconnaissance team to Isis as soon as we have the manpower."

Speaking of manpower, her eyes panned to [member="The Revenant"], still engaged in conversation with her apprentice. She gave him a wider smile and then looked back at the pair. Perhaps she could convince Master Rhen to let Gabe go to Isis with her.

"I think I know the perfect recon team."

[member="Crix Meriet"]

Crix smiled at her hand on his shoulder, she was hot in a sort of plain, hook up in a bar sort of way. Alas she was a Jedi and likely celibate boring jedi .

"No one will ever be safe until the woman is dead or in custody " He frowned "I should leave Isis I suppose but I can't abandon them ... no matter the cost" He said referencing his bruises "A 'kind' guard caught me recently , shoulda killed me he said but all he did was beat me to a pulp" He frowned again "Good man"

He put his busted hand into toby's lap a silent request for soothing which Toby complied with. The man was too good.

"I'll send you the information and I look forward to helping your people" He smiled weakly.

He followed her eyes the man again. There was something there, why would a respectable knight want to associate with a prisoner?
an odd turn of events.

"Good, Good" He sighed both at chevu and his Toby as his slaves soft hands rubbed the hollow of his poor busted wrist. He turned back to Toby his man was so good to him. then he gasped

"I apologize Chevu here I am stealing all your attention, do you have others to talk to?" He asked with a self deprecating smile. He'd finished her off now. He had what he wanted. "I enjoy you ... I mean talking with you, so if I can steal more time than I will gladly do so"

Nubica Felidae

We are well and truly forked...
Nubica felt slightly uncomfortable. “There is nothing to apologise for. Being human or near human is just a matter of genetics. It’s the person under the skin that matters.”

“And if you wear the mask for your own comfort, that’s fine for me. And Nar Shaddaa? I’ve been there a couple of times. Some bad places, so I’m pleased you got out.”

“And let me be clear. I have no desire for you to remove your mask. That is not to say I don’t want you to, but that it’s entirely up to you. Entirely.”

“I’m just happy to chat. For example, where dod you go from Nar Shadaa?”

[member="Chevu Visz"]

The masked padawan chuckled. "I do believe, however, that my skills with Tapas have been stretched to their limit. Some respite from my layers would be of benefit." He said, as gloved hands moved towards his head. As he worked latches and fabric, attempting to remove the mask and head-wrap from his head, he continued to speak. "As to my life and liberation from Nar Shaddaa, anywhere was better than the life of captivity held by a slave. I traveled to my saviors home, where he started training me in the basics of the Force." He lowered his head as he removed the mask and wrap, and as he lifted up again his cowl would fall low.

Large, independently moving ears pivoted this way and that, picking up snippets of conversation, as large, golden eyes focused on the woman before him. The muted lighting, giving everyone else an atmosphere of ease and relaxation, was to Ryn what broad daylight would appear to anyone else. He gave a sheepish grin, feline features shifting in their own unique way, as he scratched the back of his head. "Ta-da." The felacatian stated with little fanfare after his 'big' reveal.

"As it stands, I still don't know what I am. My parents were slaves on Nar Shaddaa, and I was removed from them before memory serves. No one ever bothered to educate a poor slave on why he was different from every other living being he'd so far met." He'd offer a slightly dejected shrug. "But, it is what it is. I got out of that life, and after some time with my savior, he gave me some advice on where to go for further training." His head angled slightly to the side. "Though I am unsure as to the why, but all I know is the Force lead me to Voss, to train with the Silvers."

Around this time, he realized he'd been dominating the conversation, which isn't always the case with him. At the realization, his ears folded quickly back against his scalp as he offered a meek apology. "Forgive my ramblings. Please." He spoke, a sheepish grin taking his face.

"You ask me if I understand quite a lot, Mister Justice," The blonde replied after a long moment of silence, "As if I could ever mistake your words for something else. Perhaps you think me too young to understand?"

The blonde pushed her wet hair out of her eyes. Just why did people treat her like a child still? She was almost nineteen! She was married! She was independent. Had her own ship and everything! She had graduated with honors from Naboo's most prestigious Academy for young upcoming diplomats!

Did she truly look that inexperienced?

Maybe I do after all...

"I am Felicity Mason," she sighed, reaching out a hand for him to shake, "Nice to meet you."

[member="James Justice"]

"Nay, miss, I just think ye are pretty," he said as he kissed her hand in a show of manners, slight flirtatiousness and chivalry. "It's a habit of sorts. Ye und--"he caught himself and chuckled. "I apologize, miss."

The woman was married, and he acknowledged it. However, it had never stopped him before. It only made his flirtation more subtle. "Tell me more about yeself please." He let out a soft puff of smoke. "Ye look," he paused, "upper class? Mid Rim?"

[member="Felicity Mason"]

Pretty? He called her 'pretty' as if that were a substitute for intelligent. As if having a pretty face meant she was lacking in the mind. Her eyes went narrow for a moment, but they relaxed almost at once. No. Of course that was not what he meant. Why was she so sensitive? Just nerves. New place. New people. Few friends. No real allies. No trust yet.
The woman sighed, leaning her head against a rock to relax some.

"Naboo," she answered, "Very good guesses, Sir. Was it my mannerism that gave it away? Or my cheek bones?"

She had her mothers face shape, that was for certain. Dark hair seemed to be favored among the upper class on Naboo, but the rest of her screamed nobility and she knew it. High cheekbones, bright eyes, even her long neck. Not to mention the way she spoke, carried herself. Her years studying under her mothers handmaidens had turned her into a real lady without her even realizing it. Where was the wild little girl she used to be? Climbing on rooftops and jumping off rocks? Scraping her knees, tearing her stockings, scuffing her shoes?

She must still be in there somewhere.

James waved over a pair of reactor cores, two highly alcohol drink mixes that were his personal favorite. Taking a sip of one and handing the other to her, he grinned. She was on edge, a little alcohol should help her.

"A bit of both, miss," he swirled the glowing, smoking drink. "I been from one side of the galaxy to the other I made many an enemy and many a friend, there always been something I had to do to tell the different planets and people on it different from one another, ye see? Could be the difference between getting off world and getting blasted," he took another drink and thought before speaking. "It dun't make having friends as a kid none too easy that way."

The girl took a reluctant sip from the drink he gave her. Tasted... good. Huh.

"I know what it's like. Being alone."

The girl looked up, frowning. Until Owain came along, she'd had no real friends. She wasn't exactly the nicest girl in the Galaxy. When she was a kid, when making friends really mattered, she'd been a spoiled little rich kid.

How things had changed...

James grinned, the fact that she liked this toxic concoction was very--humors to him. Some used to say it was like drinking yourself to death faster. He didn't care--his health was a thing he cared less about than forgetting. He let a billow of smoke out of his mouth before offering her a cigarette. It was worth a shot. If she liked the Reactor Core, it was the least he could offer her. He could feel a mix of emotions coming from her, it was hard to tell what exactly they all were. Regret? Memory? Loneliness? Fond recollection?

He nodded, there was only one way to find out. "What brings a genteel young lass like yeself all the way out here? I dun't think the Nubians were too fond of going all the way out from their little patch of paradise." He waved his light, flicking a few ashes into the water, "but I dun't blame them. Naboo really is a patch of Valhalla."

[member="Aston Jacobs"] (sorry for taking so long to reply, internet issues)

"By all means, I'd love to." She replied with a small smile, wandering over to the bar.

She noticed gladly that they had her personal favorite, a Hothian Iceflow. She ordered one, tipping the barkeep graciously, the man deserved it, keeping up with this highly varied bunch, and headed over to the springs, slowly sliding into the steaming water.

"Ahh... perfect way to relax after a long hard mission..." she said to nobody in particular, just glad to finally have a chance to relax.
