Checking the nav data once more, Mi'la felt the sweat beading on her brow as she glanced to her co-pilot, wondering if Eli knew just how stupid this idea was. "Shields are holding, but we gotta go in manually. So, erm, dodge between the black holes." She chuckled, knowing that if they were just off by a par sec, they were goners.

A sane person would ask, 'Mi'la why in the name of the Force are you dragging this poor woman out into a field of black holes'? Well, unsuspecting reader, the reason was the matter of a mystery. She had learned of several hidden outposts within this place thanks to old records. The Maw installation, Center Point station, etc. There were things that were hidden here, and Mi'la assumed after her discoveries at various other jedi outposts, that the Maw might conceal another secret as well. So, needing two jedi to not hit the black holes that this area was known for, she was currently moving her ship out into the field, scanning for unusual signatures.

As to what they would do once they found this lost structure, well, that wasn't yet revealed. Not yet at least.

For Eli-Mae this was very uncharted territory she had hardly left the very well-documented hyperspace lanes much less journeyed out into the very uncharted regions of space. As such the petite girl's eyebrows were furrowed in concentration as she reached out with the force hoping between her senses and the Jedi sitting in the pilot's seat that they could navigate the maw safely and find what they were looking for.

As the petite redhead tightened her grip on the controls in front of her she looked around noting how luxurious the interior of the starship was she had hardly set foot in something so nice much less been allowed to copilot such a ship. With these thoughts rolling through her head she made a small promise to herself that she would do anything within her power to bring this ship back safely.

The other Jedi’s words seem to bring Eli-Mae out of her head as she glanced over at her she gave a small chuckle and spoke in a small voice “I’ll do my best”. As she said this she fixed her eyes on the dark space outside the ship.

It seemed the two were equally nervous about this little maneuver. She didn't blame her, the knight was doubting this maneuver more and more. Plotting the course data she had from several voyages prior, Mi'la piloted her ship into a safe pocket within the Maw, and began another route. The plan was to leapfrog from pocket to pocket, until they arrived at the heart.

The problem being, with each maneuver, the room became narrower and narrower. On the bright side, she was picking up some interesting reading from the path ahead, and to inquire further, she transferred the controls to Eli, hoping that the Force was strong with the woman so they didn't just end up dying here. "I think I found something, can you guide us on that route? I'm sending it to your terminal, just...well, do your thing, and if it goes south, we won't be around long to realize it." She shrugged, knowing that the Force either willed them to, or not willed them, to survive this ordeal. There was little else they really could do now.

Sooner she got to whatever this thing was, the better.

Eli had grown up piloting her family starship so taking control of the ship was more muscle memory than anything else however the young lady was still on edge as she felt the controls come to life in her clenched hands. The force was definitely strong with Eli-Mae but she knew that you couldn’t always rely on the force to guide your piloting so the fiery-haired woman let her eyes drift to the scanners around her as she piloted the ship carefully following the course plotted out for her by Mi’la.

As her hands went on autopilot following the course Eli-Mae’s mind began to wander once again going back to her first memory of flying a ship when she was barely old enough to walk when her father put her behind the sticks of their family’s ship she didn’t know what she was doing in the moment but she managed to pilot the ship decently mostly thanks to her strong connection with the force.

Eli-Mae tried to not think about the words that Mi’la had spoken about them not being alive for long if things went south as she tried to not think of such things. She glanced over at the other woman and said “What are you seeing over there?” she gestured to the scanner that Mi’la’s attention seemed to be focused on.

There was a moment of hesitation as she glanced to Eli, but the woman seemed to know the controls rather well. So, Mi'la put it out of mind. The Twi'lek herself had been flying for years now, having learned flight when she was still a teenager; one of the more well off children in her era. As her companion plotted the course and kept them out of danger, Mi'la was trying to pin down these signals she was finding. What came back to her, was curious if nothing else. "I found something, it's a small station, but can't see if it has life signs or anything...." She muttered, rubbing her chin as she tried to think how to optimize the scanners.

Glancing to Eli, she nodded in approval. "You're doing a great job, I got one more path for us, and then I think we'll be there." She smiled, feeding the information into Eli's terminal for the path to follow, but what caught Mi'la's attention was a loud blaring from the sensors, as two craft seemed to be on an intercept course. "Wait, what in the the..." She stammered, the Twi'lek looking over the data that scrolled across her screen. Whatever these things were, they weren't identifiable. Which meant, either an unregistered craft, or well, frankly Mi'la didn't know. "Um, just...keep on course, maybe they're friendly?"

She had hardly gotten the word out before green bursts of light flew at them, as a familiar shaped craft was now made out against the ghastly light of the Maw; Tie fighters

Eli-Mae’s knuckled turned white on the controls as she did her best to not think of how insane the situation they were in was. The fiery haired girl would glance over at her companion and think to herself how she couldn’t quite read her which was strange for the young woman. As this thought crossed her mind she let her eyes wander once more across all the scanners around her. She once again seemed startled as Mi’la spoke again about the small station “That is rather strange.” The small woman mused almost to herself.

Eli was not used to being complimented as such when the compliment hit her ears her alabaster cheeks turned the same color as her hair. “Why thank you I’m trying.” she said her hands loosening on the sticks just a little bit as she relaxed a bit.

This moment of relaxation lasted meer seconds as the scanners begin to blair with alarms the fiery haired woman tightened her grip once more staring at her scanner to keep on the course that had been plotted for them. As Mi’la told her to stay the course she got a small pang through the force startling her.

If it wasn’t for the small amount of advanced notice that the force had given her Eli-Mae would not have been prepared for the dogfight that no doubt lay ahead of the duo. As the green lasers laced through the ghastly light of space Eli let her instincts take over.

“Brace” The small woman said as she peeled off the course taking evasive actions awaiting her orders. As she did so the fiery haired woman remembered the promise she had made to herself not 10 minutes before.

It was amusing to cause this 'blushing' sensation within others. So often Mi'la had been on the inflicted side of compliments and praise, to give it back in return was quite enthralling. "Well, your trying is much better than my attempting, so well done."

Well, Mi'la's notion of the ships intentions was immediately proven wrong. As they began to be fired out, Eli maneuvered the ship, managing to avoid the blasts, as Mi'la did indeed brace against the roll she pulled. Several alarms blared as the gravitational tugging on the ship were registered by the sensors, shaking the ship madly as the engines narrowly kept the ship from being pulled down into a rather destructive end. "That was close, don't have alot of room here to move about, but I think the auto cannons can handle this." She muttered, powering up the weapon systems as the Autoturrets came online, firing at the Tie that Eli had just avoided, and the second Tie that was heading right at them.

Mi'la punched in the targetin sequences, feeding the sensor data into the turrets systems, and watched as a salvo of blaster fire ripped the two ships apart. Though as the debris shattered and fragmented from the blast, the mystery as to where they came from only grew. Another sensor ping came form the console now, as it traced back to the station Mi'la had been eyeing before. "Huh, these...were remote controlled. Someone is flying these things autonomously. How odd..." She mused, fiddling again with the console, and again found another remote signal feeding out to the remnants to the Tie. This was getting weird. "Keep on that course, there is definitely something out here."

As the Ship began to rattle trying to keep itself from being pulled into the Maw Eli-Mae tugged on the Controls attempting to right the ship she punched the throttle trying to keep them from being ripped apart by the destructive force trying to pull them in.

As the small redhead managed to right the ship she glanced at the sensors around her seeing that the other tie fighter was still on them “I’ve got it I promise” She said to Mi’la as she heard her working feverishly to get the autocannons back online. As she heard the click of the last input of the womans agile fingers she glanced over to the woman almost envious of her skill.

As the autocannons began to fire Eli thought back to the compliments the woman had paid her earlier but tried to push them to the back of her mind as her cheeks darkened once again. She tried to peel her eyes back to the sensors infront of her though she couldn’t seem to stop thinking about the way the nice words had rolled off the other womans lips.

As the threats were taken care of the fiery haired girl slumped down a little in her seat her hands light on the control there was a small bead of sweat on her brow as the woman spoke once more Eli nodded “Will do captain” As she did she fixed her eyes on the scanner in front of her paying careful attention to follow the route as closely as she could

Well, Eli certainly had it. Mi'la cast aside the idea of even asking to take back the controls seeing how well the woman was doing. Now fully focused on the path ahead. With the danger dealt with, Mi'la let out a sigh of relief, but the question lingered as to what they were dealing with, if nothing else, she was getting a green light for docking permissions now, so if they could just make it to the station, then everything would be great. "No no, not captain, just Mi'la." The Twi'lek snickered, waving her hand dismissively. She hated titles, last thing she needed was going around as 'Captain Mi'la'. "You're a natural with this thing by the way, should just hire you as my personal pilot." She jested, adding in the route to the station, as both women would be able to see it coming up ahead.

Thankfully, the warning sirens had cut off, and they were not longer in danger of being sucked into a wormhole. Peeking at Eli, the Twi'lek chuckled into her palm, very much amused at the situation. "You know, usually I'm the one that gets flustered easily. I can see why others find it amusing." She teased, very much enjoying the fact that Eli hadn't gotten them killed so far.

As the alarms stopped blaring Eli-Mae relaxed a little more her shoulders slumping just a little as she took a few deep breaths. As she glanced over at Mi’la she saw the little grin on the Twi’leks lips and she fought feverishly to wipe the blush off of her face as the other dismissed the title she had spoken without thinking “O-of course sorry about that just a habit.” the fiery-haired girl glanced down at her legs which did not touch the ground but swung a few inches above it.

Looking back to the scanners in front of her Eli saw the route to the station that was added to the monitor infront of her. Seeing the route the petite Jedi took a renewed interest in piloting the ship doing everything she could to keep the ship away from the wormholes that dotted the Maw. It was then that she heard the woman compliment her again, Eli was so tired of blushing but she couldn’t help it as her cheeks once more turned the same color as her hair. “Th-thank you, my dad taught me at a young age” She stammered in a small yet sing songy voice as she tried to avoid meeting Mi’la’s eyes as the blush would for sure darken.

As Mi’la made the comment about how it was amusing seeing her getting flustered the petite girl looked over at the Twi’lek and said “Is that so hot stuff?” As she said this she grinned gently her single dimple showing through. As she did she continued to pilot the ship toward their destination.

Snickering all the while, Mi'la enjoyed the little word play between the two, figuring that the ahead journey was going to be enjoyable. Using her comm, she answered the landing request to the hanger, and went back to the bit of banter that the two were having. She had no idea someone's face could get so red, and it was very much amusing her. Though she hadn't expected to be hit with being called 'hot stuff'. The words prompted a bit of color across Mi'la's face, for as weak as it might have been, she couldn't help herself. "H-Hot stuff? That's a new one." She managed, as the pair were nearing the station, Mi'la shoot Eli a look, still giggling up a storm.

"Did you come up with that one all on your own?"
She inquired, as the ship shuddered, a small alarm sounding to indicate they were being grabbed by a tractor beam. Blinking, Mi'la looked over the console, trying to figure out if there was anything she could do, but alas, there was not. They were being brought on board the station. Though nearing it now, it was rather odd. A large orb seemed to bring up the center of the craft, with a large 'c' shape surrounding it. She had to ponder what exactly was going on here.

Eli rather enjoyed the banter herself but she wasn’t kidding when she had called the Twi’lek hot she really believed that the woman was very attractive but she was absolute rubbish at flirting so as the woman began to chuckle clearly she thought the compliment was weak. As she began to question if Eli came up with the line herself the small Jedi turned her head just a little in embarrassment “Y-yes I-I did” She said as she tried to pull her attention back to the scanners though she realized that the station was nearing quickly.

As the ship shuttered every muscle in Eli-Mae’s body tensed starting with her shoulders and making its way down all the way to her toes. As they began to be drawn in Eli fought the controls to try to break them free, however, it was no use they were going in. Eli turned to Mi’la and stood up

Looks like we are gonna have to greet our hosts” She said her hands reaching for the sabers on her belt

Mi'la had another comment for the woman, but the situation with the tractor beam killed any humor she might have had in mind. Seeing there was little way of getting out of this without a bit of a fight, Mi'la let out a small groan, and found Eli was already rising with her sabers at the ready. "Or maybe they will great us." She added, watching as their ship was pulled into a large empty hanger, as they were brought into the landing. She sighed, taking in a breath to try and center herself, and found it wasn't much help. Casting that aside, she looked back to Eli, and shrugged. "Well, sorry for having drug you out here to get kidnapped. Though, if it's any consolation, can't imagine anyone is still living out here." She smiled, motioning the woman towards the landing ramp.

As the pair would begin down the ramp, the hiss of cycled air would fill the hanger, yet...no one was there to greet them. Mi'la stood for a moment, hands on her hips as she glanced around, seemingly frustrated. "Well, that's just rude. Kidnap a few people and don't send anyone to greet them, what sort of-" Before she had finished, a loud 'clunk' sounded at the far end, as a dozen familiar looking battle droids began to march forward, prompting the Twi'lek to go for her saber. "You know, this sorta reminds me of those stories I read about, from the Clone Wars..." She started, before an onslaught of droid weapons fired at them, cutting her little history lesson short.

Several crates and heavy items were laying about the hanger, giving improvised cover, or could work as potential projectiles if the two jedi wished it.

Eli looked to Mi’la as she motioned toward the ramp and spoke “I knew what I signed up for, plus I wouldn’t want to be kidnapped with anyone else” as she said this Eli made her way toward the ramp her hips swaying just a bit. As the ship came down for a landing with a thud Eli tensed the muscles in her back which were clearly visible even with her armor on. Once the ship was landed Eli’s hands stayed on her sabers ready for any sign of trouble.

As she stepped foot on the hangar floor Eli-Mae had a very bad feeling even before she heard the loud clunk. Looking at the battle droids that were headed their way she only heard about half of what Mi’la said as she was focused on the droids. It was as Mi’la was halfway finished with her sentence that the hiss of blaster bolts through the air started.

Within half of a second Eli flicked her wrists and her sabers were ignited and in her hand. She looked out at the crates in the open blocking a bolt she yelled to Mi’la “I'm going for cover” as she did she dashed for the crates nearest her.

The pair were in the thick of things, and thankfully, her companion hadn’t lambasted her for getting them into this situation. With two sabers ignited, Mi’la’s lavender blades cut and blocked back the onslaught of blaster fire, finding Eli running for cover, as the Twi’lek struggled to make much ground as she began the full focus for the oncoming fire. Having to fall deeper into the force, Mi’la accepted her fate in this side of the force, and with her certainty of her fate, the more potent her defensive skills became; but it was not the answer to her dilemma.

As she blocked, Mi’la recalled her time studying Shien, and began to change the angle of her deflection, as she began to knock the droids own blaster bolts back into them. She managed to eliminate two of the droids, before she was forced into diving behind Eli, several blaster burns sizzled on her robes, though she herself was well and intact. “Right, so, that was a bad idea. You have any ideas Eli? Because I need a minute to work this out in my head.” She said, glancing back to the droids that were slowly approaching, their blasters continuing to pelt away at their cover.

Eli-Mae was not a very defensive-minded duelist, for as much as her father had tried to teach her Soresu she hadn’t been very good at it which rapidly made her lose interest in learning it. As she hit the ground behind one of the crates the redhead flipped her hair out of her face looking back to Mi’la she felt a bit of shame run through her for she left the other Jedi to fend for herself when Eli should have been there to back her up.

The fiery-haired woman seemed to hold her breath until the other woman was beside her once more, for some reason she felt far more comfortable with the other beside her. When questioned about her plan she nodded gently a scowl on her face “Just one” She said quickly before she sprung into action.

The young Jedi moved like a blur she knew that the first group of the droids wasn’t too far from them so as she sprung to her feet she dashed forward and quickly cut down the first 3 droids she came into contact with. Things seemed to be going ok as she reached out with the force and picked up a pipe that lay not too far from her and flung it at a group of droids knocking down 4 of them. Things seemed to be going too well that was until a scream echoed through the hangar as the Redhead ate a blaster bolt to the stomach and was flung a few feet back.

Mi'la had expected her companion to have something of a functional plan, or perhaps some unique force talent she hadn't expected. Taking a moment to catch herself, and thankful that her body was fully of blaster shot right now, Mi'la watched Eli with a bit of concern as the woman announced that she did, in fact, have a plan. What Mi'la hadn't expected, was her rushing off to try and eliminate the droids in quick fashion.

The Twi'lek collected herself, catching her breath as she rose, and was nearly about to leap in when Eli slew her third droid, the pipe taking out another cluster, but as Eli was shot down, the Twi'lek's senses went into over drive. Tapping into the Force, Mi'la's speed increased drastically, and with it, she leapt into the fray. Sabers ignited, and she wove together a blanket of criss crossing plasma. Mi'la didn't care much for Ataru in practice, but she found it worked rather well with dual sabers, and she used it expertly as she pressed the attack. With only three droids, she was able to slice them into pieces, littering the hanger floor with melting metal. Turning to the droids trapped by the pipe from Eli, Mi'la cut her sabers off, and with a devastating push, slammed the hunk of metal into their bodies, crushing and ruining them in the process.

Seemingly having dealt with the hostiles, Mi'la moved to Eli's side, moving to retrieve the medkit she had concealed within her cybernetic head-tail. "Eli, hey, stay with me, are you okay?" She inquired, trying to feel for a pulse, eyeing the wound to the woman's stomach. None of this was good.

As the blaster bolt slammed into Eli-Mae’s stomach the small Jedi was flung several feet through the air her sabers flying out of her hands on both sides. The few seconds that the fiery-haired girl flew through the air seemed like years to her as she slowly took in the scene the droids advancing on Mi’la the blaster bolts flying through the air. As this scene took place Eli’s mind flashed back to her mother and father on their ship somewhere in deep space would they ever know what happened to their only daughter? From there the small redheads mind went back to Mi’la, she had brought Eli along on this adventure merely because she had asked to come along now she had pretty much abandoned her as she rushed into battle, she should have made a plan to take them out instead of rushing in, Eli had always been a bit head strong and rash to action but this was the first time it had really come back to bite her. Lastly her mind went to all of her friends she had made during her adventures and all the things she regretted not staying to those around her.

As these images and regrets flashed in her mind her pupils began to dialate as she finally hit the ground with a thud her body going limp, she could only see the flashes of lavendar around Mi’la as the skilled Jedi took down the rest of the droids. Eli’s vision began to narrow as the corner of her vision went black she focused in on Mi’la, in her altered mental state Mi’la seemed to glow in the force appearing like an angel as her physical vision blurred with her force sight. As Mi’la began to speak to her a roar of blood began to course through her ears to where she could barely hear the Twi’lek.

Every second seemed to take centuries for the petite Jedi, Mi’la’s every movement was exaggerated to her but she knew that it was merely her. “Th-thank you” The young Jedi murmured her voice weak and raspy she barely managed to get the words out as her vision continued to blur.

Unsure how long she had before more of the droids arrived, Mi'la began to work on Eli. Removing the fabric around the wounded area, she began with applying a bacta spray, using the Force to numb the woman's pain. Mi'la was no healer, but she knew a few things. Perhaps she'd ask Amani for more advice on such matters at a later time. "I got you, don't worry." She soothed, as once the spray was applied, she'd attempt to carry Eli bridal style, intent on placing her back on board her ship, knowing the medical suite there was far better at handling her injuries than what she could do right now.

Whatever entity that was holding the pair however, watched from several camera's in the hanger, but held off on attacking. Seemingly curious as to what the pair were up to.

Taking Eli back on the ship, Mi'la laid her on a med bay bench, and immediately set the medical droid towards tending to Eli's wounds. "Whatever is out there will have it's hands full trying to get in, I'll set the auto defenses, and that'll keep us nice and snug in here." She said, trying to provide a measure of comfort to the woman, as with a mental prompt to the living computer on board, the entry ramp withdrew into the ship, it's auto defenses coming to life.

No one would be bothering them for a bit now. Taking up a chair near Eli, she figured they might as well talk and plan on their situation. Clearly they weren't leaving any time soon. "I hope you don't make this into a habit. Can't carry a med lab with me everywhere." She jested, watching as the droid went through stitching up and clean up her wound. It would take a bit for the synth flesh to be applied, but they had nothing but time.

Eli’s vision continued to blur a bit as she felt the cool bacta spray hit her midriff but it was not much more than a twinge as she felt herself losing consciousness quickly. Everything in her body seemed to slow as she felt her feet being lifted from the ground, she felt weightless in Mi’la’s arms as she carried her back to the ship she began to regain consciousness slowly as she heard the woman’s soothing voice telling her that she had her. Eli felt her face burn hot once more, even mere moments from a mortal wound she was blushing.

As the two made their way up the ramp Eli felt her wound once again begin to burn red hot as she opened her eyes a little wider looking up into Mi’la’s face she smiled as much as she could as her abdomen burned. Eli felt something hard find her back she knew that she was in the med bay and once again silently cursed herself for letting Mi’la down and getting herself injured in the process. As Mi’la set the auto defenses Eli crossed her legs at the ankle her eyes opening just a bit more.

As Mi’la jested her she giggled a little “I wasn’t planning on it.” She said wistfully. “I am sorry I was brash and left you behind, you could have gotten killed I should have thought it through more.” she said a bit shamefully. Her complexion was still way more pale than her typical porcelain complexion which is saying a lot.
