Ord Mantell

A lot has happened in these years passing. Kassey and Seth were together, married now. They had Isis, and a little while after, another baby was born by the name of Ayden Seth, Ayden after Kassey's father figure, Ayden Cater, and Seth after his father. It just rolled off of the tongue if one would say it out loud, and they had all had their troubles in the past, but it wasn't the past that mattered now, it was the present.

Presently, they were happy. Things seemed to go so smoothly over this time, and while it was hard at first, raising two girls and then soon a boy, Kassey and Seth had beaten all odds and here they were. Putting the rumors and the heresay to rest, they both relaxed and lived life to the fullest, while also bringing up the best of fate with them. They were good parents, at least, they figured as much, raising the three children to the best of their ability, fulfilling their promises in the past of giving the children lots of love, affection, and most of all, protection.

Like any family, they had their good and bad days. The kids weren't absolutely perfect, and even Jewel was getting older to the part that she could make her own life decisions, though Kassey would never be alright with that fact. It wa hard to see them grow up, and a part of her always wanted them to stay children.

Their home was settled here, living in a bigger house than the past, and today Kassey had just been cleaning around the house. She did love to work, she just had to travel a lot for work and she decided that wouldn't be the absolute best idea to go through now with Ayden still young, but she did her best to keep her family happy, as well as travel when she could, and nothing seemed to be better. That is, except for days like this.

It was when she heard her comm go off, and she looked around to see if Seth was around. Once, he wasn't in sight, she walked towards the kitchen and picked it up herself, seeing who the cal was from. Once that happened she frowned, and even cringed a little, knowing just what it was about. A call from the school usually ended in one way. "Seth...the school is calling again." She said, as if she were defeated, and she went to pick it up. "Hello?"

"Kassey Draclau? This is--"

"Yeah, I know who it is." Kassey said, almost grumbling. "Is she alright?"

"Well, actually, Mrs. Draclau, we have both Isis and Ayden in the office and--" Right away, her eyes were wide and she snapped her fingers, trying to get Seth's attention.
"Wait a second...you have Isis AND Ayden? Are they alright?"
"They are a little banged up, but they had some medical attention and they are just fine. However they were responsible for putting a few children in the hospital, seeking professional, medical attention. We'll need you to come in to talk about this situation, both parents, if they are available."
"We'll be right there. Just make sure they'll alright." Kassey hung up the comm, and right away she went to put her boots on. "Isis AND Ayden are responsible for putting a couple of kids down for the count, we'll need to go see what's going on there, as soon as possible."

Seth Draclau

Prince of Madness
One could say that he had the perfect life now after so much toil and hardship. Seventeen long years had passed and with them so much had changed in the shape-shifter's life. He and Kassey had welcomed their first child together, Isis Olivia Draclau, into the world and for the longest time they were happy. Crazy enough the two even married and the woman he loved Kassey Daklin became his loving wife and she took his name. Kassey Draclau had been at his side ever since and the two, together, were happy, loving, raising Jewel and Isis. They were a happy family, he remembered thinking nothing could make what they had better.

Then, 4 years later after the two had given birth to Isis, they were greeted with another surprise. Kassey was pregnant again, fate had decided to bless them once more, considering doctor's had told Kassey she could not have children. Nine months later they welcomed their second child into the world, a son they named Ayden Seth Draclau and once more when Seth had thought his life unable to grow grander he was proven wrong. Kassey and Seth Draclau, living their lives with their three beautiful children. Life was finally good for him.. he finally had peace.

The day started as any other Seth helped Kassey get the kids ready for school and when the two were off Seth and Kassey decided to exercise together. Of course.. it ended in a way that usually happened. Heated passions took over and the two found their way to their bedroom to continue their.. cardiovascular work out. It was still amazing to him that despite raising three kids the intimacy of his and Kassey's marriage did not fade. He would even go as far to say that their passions had grown even hotter especially given they had to sneak in their time together between tending to the children.

Seth showered and saw himself to work. Rarely if ever did he do anything himself anymore, instead he lead his organization from the top and commanded many ranks of men and women in his own criminal organization he had taken over years prior. Seated in his office looking over some reports, his attention was captured when he heard Kassey's voice mentioning the school was once more calling them. That could only mean one thing, Isis was in trouble at school again, which meant some little terrorist of a child had made fun of his baby girl's appearance and a fight had broken out.

The shape-shifter always feared the reaction his children would get from their appearance, needless to say he did not react well to the first time. Now it seemed to happen more and more. With a breath he picked himself up out of his chair and made his way to the door, walking into the hallway, dressed in comfortable attire and moving towards Kassey to hear the news. He was met with a different reaction, something bothered Kassey and then she told him everything inadvertently, both Isis and their son Ayden were in the office.

Little more was obtained before Kassey hung up the call and turned toward him. "Wait what? Isis AND Ayden put a couple kids in the hospital? Ayden's only twelve why would he be involved?" he asked clearly confused at this revelation. The fact that they had put kids in the hospital didn't even phase him. The only thing that mattered to him was the well being of his children. "Are they alright?"

When he asked about how Ayden was involved, she let out a sigh before she walked up to the coat rack, and pulled down her jacket, and she stuck her arm in each sleeve. Then, cautiously, she took her hair and pulled it from underneath the coat, to let it sit on her shoulders on top of it. "Your guess is as good as mine. He said that the kids had some medical attention, but they are fine." She checked her chronometer, and then she thought about it for a second. A lot of things had changed in her years, but one thing that hadn't changed is her habit of coming to conclusion quickly by the given situation. She turned her head, the chronometer showing the time, and she bit her lower lip.

"Two hours ago, was about the time that she had lunch. All of the grades share the same lunch." She gave him a serious look on her face. "Twelve was about the age Isis started having problems. It's the age the kids stop listening to the teachers when they say to be nice." Kassey grabbed her datapad, and stuck it in her pocket, and then she grabbed her scarf, finishing her attire and getting ready to walk out the door. "I don't know why they would both be in a fight, at the same time. Bad enough to actually put the kids in the hospital? This isn't like a black eye or a slap in the face like last time."

Kassey was actually a little worried, frightened on what they did, and why they did it. She was in a hurry now, rushing around and practically pacing the more that she thought of it. So many possibilities ran through her mind now about what to do now, and she ran her hand through her hair. "You ready?" She asked in a light panic. Worried about her kids now was an understatement, she wondered just how badly those others were hurt, but more importantly, she was worried about her own, and make sure that they were alright was her very first priority.

Seth stood quietly watching her prepare herself for the trip, he didn't move though not yet anyway. He was too busy learning what he could from her as she was ready to walk out the door. When she asked him if he was ready, he just stood there with a sad look on his face. It effected him as much as it did her, maybe even more so considering what he had been through as a child and now the fear that his children would need to go through such things as well. It wounded him deeply, more than most could see all things considered... though he was proud that his children could protect themselves.

The shape-shifter moved slowly towards his wife and slid his hands over her upper arms. "Things will be okay," he said though his words seemed like he was trying to convince himself more than her. "We knew this would happen sooner or later." A long time ago he had voiced such worries, now when they were growing up such things reared their ugly heads and like the proud and loving parents they were, Isis and Ayden never went a day not knowing they were love and that what they were was completely natural and nothing was wrong with it.

Even Seth who had mastered his fear to a degree walked around their home in his true form to show that everything would be alright. Leaning forward he pressed his lips against Kassey's for a moment before he pulled away. "Let me get my shoes and we'll be off," he said quietly as his skin and hair began to change slowly before her until his skin was a healthy tanned color. His eyes remained the same though, stormy grey, just the way his loving wife preferred.

As soon as he said that things were going to be okay, Kassey realized the tone. Her worried look softened as soon as he gave her a kiss, and she had kissed him back. She closed her eyes and then she wrapped her arms around him to give him a tight hug. "Of course, they'll be okay. They're both strong kids." She moved her head to kiss his cheek. Somehow, Seth had wiped away all of her defenses, helped her be calm, and see the light when there seemed like there was none. It was some kind of gift that she was more than happy he gave her all of the time.

Now, while they both seemed very worried about the children, and their state of mind, they had one another to comfort, because she just knew that she had to be strong for them, and for her husband. "Strong enough to take care of themselves. We just have to watch them going the next step." The last thing she wanted was their sixteen and twelve year old going around killing people. They were good to take care of themselves, but she didn't want them to go around killing kids in their school. Whatever they chose in their future to do, Kassey knew that she would support them. She's killed her fair share of people, but not while they were in chemistry or gym class.

"Things will be okay, we'll be sure of it." She smiled and then she pulled back, seeing his skin a normal shade, and his hair changed. She ran her fingers through his hair, but she kept her eyes focused on his. Kassey absolutely loved that color in his eyes, and even in this situation, they made her smile. "I'll be out in the speeder." One more quick kiss to his lips, and then she pulled away, and she had walked out the door to wait for him to follow, and drive out to the school.

Seth nodded and gave his wife a final loving kiss before he let her go as he himself moved to slide on his shoes. However when he finally caught sight of himself in the mirror, something stuck out to him. A feeling that had come over him a thousand times before and he always had to heed it's call. With a nod he kicked his shoes off and moved back to their bedroom, finding his way to his closet and without wasting time he found a shirt and new pants. Within a few minutes, the man was standing adjusting his tie a bit as he marveled at his outfit.

"That'll do." With his fashion sense satisfied, the man moved back through the house. He grabbed all he would need for the outing, even a nice pair of sunglasses before he locked the door behind him and found himself walking along the path out to the speeder. She had prepared them to leave so the man found his way to the passenger's side and slid in smoothly before closing the door and fastening his seat belt. "Ready whenever you are, my love," the man told his wife as he relaxed back in his seat and examined the front of their home before the speeder pulled out of the drive way and put them along their path.

She wished that she had more time to comfort him, to assure him that things would be alright, but she knew that they needed to get to the school, talk to the headmaster, and especially check on Isis and Ayden. Kassey drew in a deep breath, and headed to the direction of the school. On the way there was pretty silent, seeing is how there wasn't much to talk about, not until they knew exactly what happened. But, sometimes, this was a dangerous thing. Her mind went in so many different directions at the moment, thinking about how badly the other kids were injured, just how badly Isis and Ayden might have been teased, it really could have been a mix of anything.

She had put her hand on his legs and gave him a warm, soft look on her face. "It'll be just fine, honey. Those kids are tough ones. If anything, that's what today proves." It didn't take much longer before she had parked in the closest spot, the transports with the kids leaving since it was nearing the end of the day, and she had powered down the speeder, and leaned in for one more kiss to him. "Just remember that they're strong." She smiled, and opened her door, eager to get inside to see her children.

Seth Draclau

Prince of Madness
They're strong.. "Of course they are.. they're our children after all." Seth had made a promise a long time ago to make sure that his children would grow up strong and have the means to defend themselves. It probably wasn't the smartest idea considering the children had proven their willingness to use their abilities he had taught them. However he believed it wise that they know how to fight, to defend themselves should for any reason Seth or Kassey not be able to do so, after all, they would not be able to keep their eyes on their kids forever.

Seth climbed out of his side of the speeder and closed the door behind him, the two walked around to the path leading up to the front door and while they walked, Seth's fingers reached for Kassey's and within seconds he took her hand in his and laced his fingers through hers. The two made it through the front door, the office was not far from the front doors and moving inside through the archway in a glass wall the two moved towards one of the desks of the school secretaries. "Hello, Seth and Kassey Draclau. We received a call about our children Isis and Ayden?"

Kassey gave his hand a gentle squeeze, and turned back to the doors. She was getting a little nervous, even after all of the times that Isis had trouble, she still felt her nerves rattle just slightly coming in here. But now, her little boy was here, too...also responsible for fighting. She wondered just how much his involvement was in at this point. She bit her lower lips as the secretary had instructed them to wait. She seemed busy, on the phone, but Kassey had her game face on. She gently let go of his hand and then she pounded the desk, getting the girl's attention.

"Ayden and Isis Draclau. We need to see them now, they've been in a fight and I want to make sure our children are alright." Kassey said, narrowing her eyes. Then, the woman looked a little frightened, and she pointed to the headmasters office. "They're in there." She said in a shaky voice, and Kassey turned back to Seth with a nod, and went right into the office, without knocking or anything.

The office was laid out into two rooms. The first was a desk, with a man behind it, but not their kids. As she looked through the glass doors, she saw their legs in the other room, but her eyes went to the headmaster. "Where are they? Are they alright? I want to see our kids."

Seth Draclau

Prince of Madness
"You'll have to forgive my wife, she's very protective of our children," he said with an unapologetic look on his face. Despite his fears and the feeling passed between the two Seth found it very attractive when Kassey was like this. Bound and determined, she could be a hellion if she wanted to and he found that just... breathtaking. When the two found their way into the office of the headmaster of the school, his eyes caught glimpse of the two in the other room but now that they were here they might as well hear what it was that had happened without Isis and Ayden present.

Placing his hand on Kassey's shoulder he gave her a look that she could probably read. One of calm and patience, which was odd considering who he was. "Tell us what happened from what you know. How did both of our children get into a fight of this magnitude?" he asked the headmaster with a growing curiosity in his eyes. Isis he probably knew what happened with her, what vexed him was how his twelve year old got involved in the fight.

"If you would be so kind is to have a seat." He had said, and then Kassey looked over to Seth. A warm look on her face came up as soon as she saw that look on her face. She took a deep breath, and she didn't want to sit down, she wanted to see her kids. Only able to see their legs, sitting down and fidgeting a little wasn't helping her at all. She couldn't see what kinds of injuries they had, and it made her...uneasy to try to relax.

In hindsight she would know that Seth was trying to calm her down, and talk without them being there. So, she took a seat on the other side of the desk, clearly in a worry, and then she sat back.

"Isis says that a girl that has been picking on her for some time had teased her again today while changing in the locker rooms this morning. Again about her appearance." It seemed like it was a bi-weekly event, give or take a week or two, and that was something Kassey had also expected. "It escalated at lunch when the girl came over towards Isis and began to taunt her again, along with her friends. Ayden had seemed to hear this and he got in the middle of it. A couple of pushes and shoves were had between Ayden and the girls, Ayden had bruised his jaw, a scrape on his forehead, and then Isis...she, uh, had attacked all three of the girls. All of which are in the hospital. One has a broken arm in several places, the other has two black eyes and a dislocated jaw, and the other one had so many punches to the head, she's in and out of consciousness."

Kassey covered her mouth, but said nothing. She actually had reached for Seth's hand, wanting to hold on to him. "Does Isis have any injuries?" Kassey asked, and she had gulped.

"Isis has a black eye, and her knuckles had broken apart badly from hitting so hard. But she's all wrapped up now, our professionals saw to it right away, and she's doing just fine now. But we may need to talk about her future at this Academy."

Kassey had narrowed her eyes a little bit. "Are you meaning to tell me that you're thinking about expelling her, after SHE was the one that's been taunted and teased for the last couple of years here...on YOUR professors' watch? What about your no tolerance policy on verbal abuse?"

"We also have a zero tolerance policy on physical abuse. If I played by the rules, she would have been expelled on the first incident." Kassey just looked over to Seth, almost in disbelief at what she was hearing.

Seth Draclau

Prince of Madness
Seth listened carefully at the man's explanation of the events in questions. Learning that Ayden had injected himself into the conflict, wanting to protect his sister. Hearing of the injuries though to the other children he was a little surprised at how badly his daughter had hurt these other girls. Compared to his daughter and son's injuries he would admit that maybe they had gone overboard, which again was amusing considering the fact that he was Seth Draclau, the master of overkill and someone that made a living out of never doing things half way.

He was prepared to try to keep his calm, however hearing Kassey speak back and forth with the headmaster he was finding it hard not to overreact. Finally he put his thoughts together and took a deep breath. "You will not punish my children. In fact you are going to punish the children who began this fight. You are going to change your school to make sure my children do not have to suffer the abuse of other children." The shape-shifter seemed calm even if he was raging underneath the calm veneer. His demands were set out before them and he expected them to be fulfilled.

"You know who I am and you know what I can do. I want results."

Kassey was furious at this. She didn't want to see Isis expelled from the place, that was not what she wanted. She had provided the money to put her in the best, high class academy that she could find on Ord Mantell's capital, and she expected that...the best. Expelling her because she was the one that was teased and picked on? That made no sense to her. "This would not have happened if you had that other girl expelled. You knew just as well as we did that she had been giving my daughter problems about what she looked like, and it should have been rectified before it escalated to this." She narrowed her eyes, and Seth had made his point, Kassey figured she would try to enforce it as much as she can.

"We pay good money, and donate quite a bit to keep our children safe and sound. You are suppose to provide an environment where she's happy and safe, and now my son has gotten into this and I do not appreciate it by any means. You will keep them both enrolled or the donations stop, and like my husband said....we want results." Kassey raised her finger in the air, and she narrowed her eyes and she practically growled.

"Now, I want to see that our demands are met, and I want to see my children."

Seth Draclau

Prince of Madness
As much as the headmaster thought he was taking a hard line on this, considering the anger of the other parents. He knew that he was dealing with two people that quite extensive contacts in criminal world. Their donations were quite large and the unspoken threats that the man and woman could bring down on him specifically, really the man had no choice but to drop any idea of punishing the Draclau children. He wasn't sure how he would wing it, but he feared the Seth and Kassey Draclau more than the rest of the families combined. With a sigh he gave in to the demands.

"Very well. I will see to it that your... requests are met to the very letter. Feel free to go to your children, they're in the other room." Seth nodded his head to the man as he stood up. "Thank you, your generosity will not be forgotten. Don't worry about the other families, I will make sure that they are attended to." From there Seth turned and walked into the next room, Kassey right along with him as the visage of their daughter and their son came into view.

Isis sat there in the chair, slouching and her back half way on the seat where her butt was suppose to be. Her legs were spread out, and her knuckles were bleeding badly from the punches. Bandages wrapped tightly around her hands, and she held an ice pack over her eye. Across from her sat her little brother, who was also pretty badly hurt. She didn't like the girls picking on him, and pushing him around was the last straw for her. She saw flashes of red before she haulled off and slammed her fist into that one girl. She remembered reaching him and breaking the other girl's arm, while the third one she knocked right in those eyes of hers.

They all deserved it. That's what Isis kept telling herself.

The girl took the ice pack off of her eye and tossed it aside. For the most part, she was quiet. Quiet and angry. Livid, even. Ayden, though, he was the best brother she could have ever asked for. He rushed to her defense and it was the least she could do to those girls. She figured she had done them a favor by not hurting them even more for shoving Ayden around. It wasn't right for them to do that. Isis, through the whole time they were in the office, hadn't said anything to Ayden. IN a way, she was still angry, frustrated, and she still felt like she could punch a wall or something. But now that they were here, she was a little more calm.

"Hey, hey Ayden?" Isis gave him a little smile. "Thanks." Then, she heard voices in the other room and she looked to see who was there. Just then two figures came towards them, and through the glass she could easily see....

"Dad..mom...they're here!" As soon as they walked in the room, Isis rushed right over to her dad, and she gave him the best hug that she could without using her hands. She was happy to see him, especially him, and especially after these episodes. He knew what it was like to go through this, and she knew that she could confide in him no matter what. "I swear...they started it! They messed with Ayden!" She already began her defense for the situation at hand.

Kassey was glad to hear that the demands were met, and she knew that her and Seth would make sure of that by any means. Kassey couldn't wait to see them, and she could feel herself practically running towards the door, even though she knew that it would be best to not do such a thing. Yet, when they came to the door, she looked to Isis, who had her hands bandaged up, and she knew that feeling too well in her days. The feeling of the knuckles breaking open, especially when she hit a Mandalorian in the face one time, her knuckles snapped right open. It was a sore feeling and it took time to heal since the wounds were on a sensitive spot, and now her little girl had them on both hands.

Then, her eyes went to the little one. Her little boy with a bandage on his head, and his jaw a little swollen. "Guys, it's so good to see you. Are you two okay?" She saw that Isis rushed over to Seth, and Kassey hurried over to Ayden. Right away she put her hands on his shoulders and examined his wounds. Her hand moved some of his hair out of his way, and she looked into his eyes, and then embraced him in a hug. "Ayden, sweetheart, what happened?" It pained her to see her kids like this. And, it pained her to know that someone else did this to them. This wasn't an accident on the playground or rough play. This was serious.

Ayden had taken to holding his head a little as the two sat in the nurses area of the office. A sad look was on his face that seemed to mingle with that of a passive stoic expression. Ayden had been told by his father that these days would come.. that he and his sister would probably be picked on by other kids for looking a little different. It seemed silly to him considering that he and his sister's skin was only a little different, a small mixture of color that looked barely recognizable yet the two were constantly the butt of jokes that they didn't deserve.

The young boy looked up at his sister when she called his name and she thanked him for his actions. "You're welcome," he said with a smile on his face. He really did love his big sister but he knew there was little he could do to help her against the people that were mean to them. He tried with all his strength, but he was only a little boy and against kids his sister's age... well he had wrestled around with Jewel and Isis before and it was his small frame that made him able to squirm free. He was the runt of the litter but he didn't let it keep him down.

A few minutes later their parents came in while Isis had leaped to their fathers arms to hug him, the little boy stayed still until his mother came up to him and checked his injuries. "I'm okay, Mom," he got out before she wrapped her arms around him and he took wrapped his around her. She asked him specifically what happened, something he didn't expect but now that she had asked him, his memories came back to him. "Some girls were making fun of Isis. The way Dad said they would.. I heard them doing it and I ran at one and pushed her and told her not to make fun of my sister." That was how it had started.

"They pushed me back and Isis hit her. The rest of them tried to stop Isis and I jumped on one of their backs.... she threw me off and I hit my head on a table."

Seth Draclau

Prince of Madness
"It's alright honey, we know," he said quietly, shushing her a bit so she did not have to get excited over their story. Instead the father held hid daughter close to him for a few moments, taking a deep breath before he pressed his lips against her temple and looked down to see her with a genuine look of concern on his face. His hands slid around hers, looking at the bandages wrapped around her knuckles to protect her wounds from outside influence. Her wounds felt like his wounds because he too knew the pain that came from things such as these.

Pressing a gentle kiss against the tops of her hands, Seth stood and listened to what his son had to say about what had happened. His young son had come to the aid of his big sister and when the girls that he pushed decided to push back, Isis had responded to protect her little brother. Somewhere in all of this he had jumped onto one of their backs but he had sadly been through from purchase and hit his head on a table. It was terrible to hear that such a thing happened to his little boy, he could thank whatever powers existed that they were both alright.

"Are you alright, baby girl?" he asked his daughter. Oh sure she had grown, she was no longer a baby for sure however she was his first child and she would always be his baby girl.

Isis looked at her dad when he kissed her hands. She gave him sideways smile. She looked over to Ayden and her mom, and then back to her dad. She really had no idea how to answer his question, if she was okay or not. She was physically okay. Her eye was black and blue, and her hands were wrapped up, but all in all she was just fine. Nothing a little time and bacta wouldn't handle. But as for emotionally, mentally? She wasn't even sure.

Isis hesitated, just staring at her dad. She knew that he warned her about how mean people could get, and more importantly, they were in a school where a lot of rich, preppy people went to, but that also made them stuck up and mean to others that weren't exactly like them. This planet was almost like a melting pot of species. There were different species here that lived here, and went to school, but they were distinct. They had the exact, distinct features. Isis and Ayden had features of a few mixed breeds, something that wasn't common around here. This is what made them different than the rest.

She was old enough, though, to know how her parents would respond to what she said. She looked right at her dad, and her smiled soon turned into a frown. "I'm okay." She had finally answered him, though being her dad, he would probably guess that she was very much not okay. Now, she had just hugged her dad again, and she rested her head on his shoulder.

Kassey kept her gaze right on Ayden. Her eyes searching for anything else that might be wrong with him, if any more injuries came about. She shook her head a little as he told his story, and Kassey put her hands on his shoulders, looking at him. "Ayden, no matter what anyone says, I'm proud of how you stood up for your sister. I want you to know that, alright?" She didn't even wait to hug him again, and if possible, even tighter. "I'm sorry that those girls pushed you, and you hit your head. They shouldn't have done that."

Kassey made sure to kiss his cheek, the one that wasn't swollen, and she was angry just because she had to watch where she kissed him in efforts to not exacerbate his injuries. He shouldn't be injured, as well as Isis. She preached just how great her kids were to them. To have something like this happen broke her heart more than she could imagine. But also, she was pissed and wanted to see justice brought to those that provoked it, though it seems Isis did that in her own way.

"Those girls shouldn't have picked on either of you, and your dad and I are making sure that those girls don't hurt you ever again, they won't be back."
