Strengths:
+ Its size alongside its duraplast materials make the gauntlets good shields against lightsabers.
+ The internal mechanism of the gauntlets contain miniature thrusters, which when activated thrusts the gauntlet forward to add velocity to a punch. Combined with the pneumatic rail system a hit with a gauntlet will deal significantly more damage than a regular punch.
+ The power of the gauntlets gives the user the ability to crush many materials with the fists. More durable materials will hold up, however.
+ Using the miniature thrusters, the wielder can 'punch the air', propelling the user forward.
Weaknesses:
- Due to the size and weight of the gauntlets, movement is more predictable.
- The gauntlets take a long time to don and doff, meaning that when used on the battlefield there is no option to use other weapons.
- While wearing the gauntlets the user will have a lot of trouble treating objects with care due to the power behind the mechanisms, meaning they are only really good for crushing and breaking.
- Despite the duraplast material protecting the gauntlets from lightsaber strikes, repeated blows to the same part will eventually damage them.
Description:
Jaya's pet project, these gauntlets amplify the thing she enjoys doing most: Punch things really, really hard. She got parts wherever she could to put them together, using her own knowledge on tech to build them. They are a custom fit for her own hands, with controls inside the fingers of the gauntlets to activate the mechanisms within. The miniature thrusters and pneumatic rail system that are installed add velocity and power to her already natural hard strikes, allowing her to break through doors, weaker walls, and more. These mechanisms are protected by durasteel and duraplast, making the gauntlets resistant to kinetic damage and lightsabers. The weight of the gauntlets are cut down through many hours of making every bolt and plate count. They are still heavy, but with Jaya's workout routine and the miniature thrusters on in a very low setting to lift pressure off her arms she is able to wear them.
