Meeting w/ Jedi Master
Evanthea Hinata
“I’m glad you are here. Have a seat.“ The Jedi Master indicated to the blanket in front of her where some muffins and milk were spread out.

“I figured a busy mom may not have had breakfast time so I thought these might help. While we enjoy them I was hoping you could tell me a little about why you’ve decided to embrace the Force? So many who come to realize it’s power later in life choose to simply ignore it. Tell me.. is it your wish to become a Jedi or is there something else that motivates you, Mrs. Porte?”

Alexandra canted her dark head at the congenial gesture then made her way to the blanket and sat down easily in a criss-cross applause position. She was used to doing so while playing with Addison and Aiden on the floor.

"Why thank you, Master Hinata. I appreciate your thoughtfulness," the brunette replied with gratitude, reaching forward to take one of the muffins. The cup of caf downed in haste going out the door hadn't quite done the trick. "Please, call me Alex... Missus makes me sound so old," she grinned softly.

The Taanabian broke off a small piece of the muffin top and plopped it into her mouth.
"Mmmm... This muffin is really good. Did you make it?" she inquired, before taking another small bite.

After a moment of thought, Alexandra went on to address the questions presented to her.

"I must admit at first after well for a lack of a better term diagnosed at a prenatal visit with a healer, I didn't want to be trained, that I had gotten along all these years just fine. I was in the mindset of why change how I do or approach things differently now just because the truth was finally revealed? It did explain though my uncanny hunches and high ability behind the stick in the cockpit up to that point. But in the end, I realized the great responsibility I have going forward not only as a parent of Force-sensitive children but also to the greater good to be trained properly in the ways of the Force. This is when my husband took me on as his unofficial apprentice, though timewise that has proven difficult for the Jedi Master to continue as his duties more so than not have taken him elsewhere for long periods of time. So I am seeking a mentor of my own to finish what was started especially now that Addison and Aiden are training as Jedi Initiates here at the Enclave."

When noticing the wristband of Kirie's, Caedyn half expected the device to be some form of translator similar to what he had seen of Kashyyyk and people communicating with the Wookiee's there. To his surprise, and causing him to let out a soft laugh in response, a small droid scurried out of Kirie Ito's quarters and proceeded to climb up her arm and onto her shoulder, taking glances between Caedyn and Kirie herself.

Do not be embarrassed over effort you have made.
You have done better than most people. It is a thing to be proud of
".
The droid appeared to translate for her, which made him grin further at the little guy. Silently, Caedyn had a moment of wonder in that perhaps the little droid might get along with Lexas or Chip. He continued to listen to Kirie explaining her situation, at times knowing not whether to look to her or the little droid, glancing between both of them and quite possibly overthinking it at times. Ever still, the little droid helped tremendously in his confidence that he was getting a much clearer understanding of what had been bothering her.

"I'm sure there might be a few people with some idea's, though..." he paused a moment, well aware that he was younger than her and probably not what she'd pictured as someone with the ability to help her through her struggles. He hoped she wouldn't feel put out from the offer, but he genuinely wanted to see if he could offer her some form of assistance; "If you'd be willing to give me the time, I'd like to see if I can't help you with this, myself. I know this place better than anyone, and there's a well of power in the Force to draw from here. I get that it's far stronger than what you're used to, but perhaps I can help you adapt to it" the Je'daii had taught Caedyn to be open minded in his pursuits, the Jedi had encouraged him to put aside his doubts and insecurities. Over his years of experience learning from both Orders, there were a few idea's that he had, that could be of benefit to Kirie, he felt.

Another pause, and this time his gaze fell to his chronometer. There were people arriving slowly over the passing days, and Caedyn had still yet to call them all together. "Would you mind accompanying me first to welcome our new arrivals?" He asked Kirie, "You're welcome to stay here if you'd not feel comfortable yet, but I do really need to see about these new guests before they think I'm not doing my job or something" he chuckled quietly under his breath, detaching his com-link from his belt and dialing the Enclave Intercom frequency.

"Greetings everyone, this is the Enclave Steward, Caedyn Arenais. I'm going to ask that all new arrivals over the passed few days join me in the main hall, if you would be so kind" his voice would sound across the Enclave speakers, as well as those com-links already tuned in on the Enclave's frequency.

You did not offend, little fox. Appearances often deceive. You must unlearn what you have learned if you are to walk the path of a Jedi. We are luminous beings, not this crude matter.

Oros thought he sensed the Force nudging fate when Amilthi Camlenn Amilthi Camlenn chose this moment to encourage his detachment from the material. How could he explain that it was not the contents of the library but the library itself he mourned? Cultural destruction always wounded the soul, but there was a genius loci that manifested in such halls of knowledge over time. Through his blindness the librarian had allowed something beautiful to be destroyed forever.

Some things are worth protecting, a sorrowful dirge chimed in Amilthi's head, soft and distant yet eminently comprehensible as language, Not everything can be replaced.

“What would you say?”

He was silent for a moment and his tentacles slackened as if in deep thought.

I would say that perhaps you are asking the wrong questions. Peace and belonging must come from within. This place cannot help you.

The celegian drifted closer.

But perhaps we can help you help yourself.

"Greetings everyone, this is the Enclave Steward, Caedyn Arenais," a voice squawked from the comm gate buried in the life support chamber's ventral machinery, "I'm going to ask that all new arrivals over the passed few days join me in the main hall, if you would be so kind."

Caedyn's voice echoed strangely off the metal but it was quickly drowned out by a sudden rumbling as Oros and his chamber lifted off the archive floor in front of Verana. The racket eventually subsided into a dull hum of repulsorlift engines.

Come. I will escort you to one who sees hidden truths.

The wrong questions. Didn’t seem to Vera she was asking the wrong questions, but if the Master out of the two thought that she was wrong then perhaps she was. Vera looked at Oros with a questioning glance, her lips about to open and spew her curious defense when she was abruptly cut off by a voice over the comms. She wanted to explain that for all of her life all she had known was the tribe and the belonging to such a structure. To not try and find your new place in a long row of machinations that served the whole and find joy in that was to her a strange concept. Kiarans had always focused on survival, the present, and efficiency. She needed to find somewhere that this little cog fit in order to feel better.

But, there was no time for that. Oros pushed on and Vera nodded her head at him as she allowed herself to be led out of the library, quite curious to see his life support unit move around the place. Hidden truths on the other hand she was familiar with, though she assumed that came with the field of empathy. Even if her innate understanding applied mostly to animals.

“I will need to think on what you said.” Vera admitted as she followed Oros, clearly not feeling entirely sold on the part that peace and belonging came from inside.

As they stepped into the main hall she began to glance around at the others. She’d lie if she said there were any familiar faces here. At least a glance, though she was admittedly also not the best with people to begin with.

“How many are there here?” She asked no-one and everyone at the same time, foregoing a ‘hello.’

Rather than lightening it, Amilthi found that she had only strengthened the melancholic air around the librarian's thoughts. And there was a sense in which he was obviously correct: not everything was, in practice, replaceable. But there was also a different sense in which it was, a sense in which that which was simply was, and it did not matter what it was. This wasn't a maxim for life as such, as its obvious corollary was complete apathy; but it was something one should be able to feel at the same time, on a different level than the merely pragmatic. Young Jedi would often struggly trying to let go of attachment without losing motivation. In this day and age, it seemed that they were prone to erring on the side of motivation, but Amilthi had read accounts from other times and places, where life was more monastic, where they were prone to the opposite - as Amilthi had found her own inclination to be as well. However, with time and experience, a balance could be found and the seemingly incompatible reconciled. Perhaps the tumultuous events of the last years had disturbed the ancient librarian's balance just as Amilthi had found her own.

Some things are worth protecting even if they can be replaced, she thought sanguinely.

She heard a voice coming from the speaker in the corners, showering her with sensations of its different aspects. It was male, young, human. Recognisable as the young Arenais'. It had the very indeterminate-sounding accent of someone who had grown up in a great many places. And it was ever so slightly tense from speaking such unfamiliar words.

Amilthi could have let it be, but she chose to engage it, allow the train of thoughts that led from the sound of their words to their content and the actions it suggested. It was not inopportune. The Jedi master rose from the floor and made her way to the hall.

She found some familiar faces, a young girl she had seen at times in Eira Pechal, in the company of an animal that was clearly more at home on that icy planet than in Svivren; the deaf and withdrawn Kirie Ito, an avid meditator as she remembered, yet sadly separated from so many by an ailment her disposition made it difficult to overcome. Amilthi sympathised with the trouble she seemed to have had in developing a telepathic ability - it was not easy to turn one's mind on others when one was used to paying so much attention to oneself, especially when one wasn't entirely comfortable with them. Amilthi simled at both of them as her gaze brushed over them. There was also a familiar... tank.

And then there was the young steward of the Enclave himself, his name more familiar than his face, which Amilthi had last seen when he was still a boy. He had grown up to be quite handsome and much more important, he had an air of calm and collectedness. Whatever his failings might have been, rashness and temerity would not be found among them. If anything, there might have been a lack of steadfastness - the other side of youthfulness.

She looked at him calmly from her steel-blue eyes and ever so slightly nodded in greeting.
