- Organization Name: Jedi Shadows

- Description: Uniquely focused and highly trained jedi sentinels. The Jedi shadows were very specific going after the darkside of the force and destroying everything related to it. Eradication and sterilization were the important part of their work. A uique mindset, a powerful set of skills with the ability to resist the darkside, its influence and in most cases entire groups of darksiders alone. The jedi shadows were powerful but compared to many they chose not to take positions of leadership, to let their mindset of seeing the darkside and lightside in black and white dictate the direction of the order. A keen sense of self awareness of themselves and a willingness to be controlled and mostly confined. THey serve the council of first knowledge, they protect the people and their order but do not use their powers to exert control.

Council of First Knowledge: A jedi master noted for their wisdom that served to review and have the burden of if need be deploying the jedi shadows. It wasn't something meant to be used on a whim or an organization that roamed around the galaxy able to do whatever it wanted. Investigators and all other means of handling the situation should have been exhausted first. - Jedi Shadows: The shadows themselves were not structured, they didn't have a leader or ranks within. They were all equal and trained with a heavy dose of paranoia and a black and white view of the galaxy. These are jedi zealots and internally avoiding their fellow jedi lest they see the darkside within them.
[*]Membership: Highly Restrictive, for a jedi shadow it was a life of service. They served at the behest of the council of first knowledge, they trained to stop and destroy darkside influences and objects. They didn't run around the galaxy without orders. Sentinels who joined were of a certain mindset. It wasn't just follow the code, it was to follow the code and adhere toall aspects of it, to serve the lightside and eradicate the darkness of the galaxy without a second thought. This mindset is one of the reasons why the group was never allowed to have control of itself. They never had ranks, who could dictate what they did. Creating an echo chamber within the organization would be more detrimental so all serve and are dedicated to serving never being in charge or leading their fellow shadows while the council of first knowledge directly controls them.
[*]Climate: Paranoia, one of the biggest aspects of the jedi shadows was that they saw the galaxy in black and white, light and dark. Always suspecting their fellow jedi of darkside thoughts and dangerous thoughts. Their bodies are trained to become stronger and better able to handle the strain and pressures of fighting the darkside. Mentally they are conditioned to resist temptation, physically they are able to resist pain and torture that might push them to the edge. Without a central command structure the shadows are a singular unit with a mind set, They do not exist in an echo chamber fortifying their ideals and ignoring the rest of the order. They deter their judgement and opinions to the jedi councilor of first knowledge both to keep the order safe and because they willingly give up control of themselves.
[*]Reputation: Hand picked by the councilor of first knowledge and sent alone to gather all information and then deliver a decisive blow to the darkside be it as an artifact or being/group. Seen as dangerous, powerful and only to be deployed attimes of great conflict.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
First seen after the Great Hyperspace War, the jedi shadows were different more serious and mysterious compared to the other jedi of that and following eras. They weren't going out to help the people, they went out to attack and handlesith, darkside artifacts and locations instead. Seen as more focused, simple minded with black and white views compared to most of the order that could use their wisdom. The Jedi shadows were held to the wisdom of the council of first knowledge.
When it was believed the danger and infleunce of the sith had ended they were changed slightly to mopping up and handling if a situation could be tied to either a group they formed or an artifact. Displaying black or white robes sometimes with armored plating. When the great hyperspace war came they were sent out and when it ended something of a schism formed. The Covenant formed, a group of jedi master who corrupted and twisted ideals to accumulate wealth and artifacts both jedi and sith.
The shadows they took with them changed, erasing their names and records from the order, thought lost so they could operate in the shadows and during the mandalorian wars operation Vindication was enacted where the covenant tried to lead insurrection against the jedi order itself. It was quelled quickly, while covenant jedi and their shadows were taken from all aspects of the jedi order and indoctrinated to follow the group. The shadows were in service because they chose to be.
The jedi shadows then continued to operate as they were for thousands of years operating until the fall fo the Old Republic and rise of the Empire. With a younger shadow being taken and converted to the darkside by the Emperors Inquisitors. The majority of them perished and their teachings, theirstories faded. With the return of the jedi over the years and rebuilding ot the order, then its fall there was not much known about them. It wasn't until after the Gulag Plaguethat the jedi orders started to recover and eventually regain information about its past.
