- The Auger Personal Shield can be worn undeployed as a simple wrist gauntlet, and quickly deploy into shield form by either physical or electronic prompting.

The Auger also offers little resistance towards lightsabers or other forcesabers.
A portable, personal shield system ideal for security forces, armed soldiers, or the average citizen, the JN3 Auger Personal Shield was designed by Roble Manufacturing to be exactly what the design says: a personal shield. Worn by its user in gauntlet form, the shield on prompting can snap into a four-section energy shield capable of deflecting most ranged and melee attacks. However, despite the shield's easy deployable mechanism, its most significant drawback is that the Auger suffers from a comparatively smaller shieldsize, which limits the degree to which it can protect its user.
