This was a relatively tame day for Anen. He had taken a temporary position as a medical aid at a local hospital, while he was formally only a jedi padawan, his medical education was one of the best possible and already had far exceeded most doctors. He had come to both share his knowledge and gather some more data of his own. He smiled and gave a nod as his most recent patient headed out, nothing more than a fractured fore-arm. He had faced worse certainly. Hardly life threatening. He was trying to stick to the resources available at the local level, but he couldn't help but take advantage of his shapeshifting when no one was looking. The vo within him, a force capable organ present to all of his species, which for his specific sub-race provided them significant shapeshifting abilities, had allowed him to reform one of his hands into something of a long cage that held the arm perfectly in place while he worked otherwise. Keeping it safe.

This was, essentially, where he felt he was best used. For all the power he had in the force, he was at his heart an academic. He loved to help and heal and learn. Fighting had a vigor to it, but it also brought with it danger, and the possibility of rage or fear. Like his father. Madness. It was a risk. One he preferred not to take. But one he would not begrudge others from. Nor would completely avoid himself, sometimes risks had to be taken. Afterall, many surgeries had risks too. But if left unattended, consequences could be just as bad or worse, and far more likely.

The hum of the ship's engine quieted as Jedi Knight Thea Nyko guided it to a smooth landing inside the hanger of the medical facility. Thea grimaced as she moved to open the cockpit canopy, pain shooting through her side where a nasty wound she had recieved during her latest mission. She had some makeshift bandaging on it, but it was only doing so much. Thea managed to climb out of her ship, and touch down on the ground, though she let out a pained groan. She began to make her way through the hanger into the facility proper, looking for any kind of doctor, or even a medical droid to help her situation.

Anen tilted his head as he heard a ship arriving, then felt a sense of alertness as she made her way out, he got up and worked outside before raising both brows as he spotted her and hurried along quickly after her, holding out a hand to quickly try and help her, "Hello, I'm a doctor, What happened?" he asked quickly providing a short smile and almost instinctively trying to reach out with the force like he usually did to try and employ a sense of calming before he even paused to note she was a jedi too. Meanwhile he tried to reach out to support her if he could, a third arm grew beneath his robes, reaching out and pulling a hover gurney towards them.

She looked human enough, he'd already noted that she had 5 fingered hands to figure if she may have been echani or arkanian. "Human? For medical reasons it can matter." he asked for confirmation. He had to wander what must have got her, sure, jedi weren't invulnerable. But it usually took something noteworthy to get to one. He'd have used himself as a measure since she looked closer to his age, but exactly how well he preformed was sketchy. He was still a padawan, just one who could shift his body enough to make up for a lot of his failures in straight skill.

She spotted the man approach her, wondering if he was a doctor, then he spoke confirming so. When he asked what happened in regards to her injury, Thea just gave a shrug. "Local wildlife on the planet I was on didn't like I was in its territory. The basic first aid helped keep it check till I got here." She answered. The doctor suddenly growing a third arm was strange to her, because usually extra limbs came with the person at birth. She never heard of anyone able to grow more willingly. When he asked his next question of is she was human, Thea responded with, "Dathomirian."

He grimaced, good risk of infection then. He offered for her to get on the hover gurney. It wasn't like they were far from even one of the further emergency rooms but he hardly planned on forcing her to walk all the way. He raised both brows as she answered in a little bit of surprise then smiled, "Don't think I met any before but the biology is known." he said, both expressing his intrigue, and the fact that her wasn't going to botch anything up. Dathomirian biology wasn't actually all that unusual, technically they were mostly zabraki. But the males were the only ones who really looked like it. Though he was willing to bet a large portion of human had been introduced at some point. "My name's Anen Krae, do you know what species got you specifically?"

Best to make sure it wasn't something highly venomous or poisonous, or just covered on bacteria. But he could try and account for it if she wasn't sure while they got nearer to the emergency room.

Instead on laying on the gurney, Thea just simply sat down on it. She didn't need all this extra stuff, but she compromised for the sake of the doctor. She did noticed the raised brows of his when she mentioned her species. Which is usually the reaction she gets. "I don't expect you to meet a lot of Dathomirians. Most stay on the planet their whole lives, and Dathomir isn't exactly a fun destination. As for the creature, I haven't the slightest clue. It had lots of teeth, lots of claws, and very angry."

He almost chuckled at her description of her homeworld, "You've got rancors smart enough to be trained, unusual crystals, and a very strong force presence there That sounds like a rather interesting destination to me. We probably have more in common with our homeworlds than most. Though I have a feeling my people respect the kaminoans or arkanians at least a little more than they do dathomirians, on average anyway. They're a bit..." He furrowed his brow then shook his head as he felt he got a little off topic and they entered the room, "Alright, we'll try and insure it's not going to get infected first. Are you in much pain? The bacta spray will have a mild numbing effect but if you're too uncomfortable we have better. I'd like to clean the area, so my suggestion is yes, have something."

Technically actual doctors manners weren't really so much a thing for where he learned. His people saw doctors work as such a normal aspect of life, that finding a medical doctor was like finding a shop-keep. Of course, he tried to be a little more friendly once he had left his people behind completely. But all the details of etiquette aside from 'don't try to read everyone's mind' had still not all been learned.

"You would be the first to think that in my experience with others. The main reason people tend to stay away is fear. Dathomirians are a species of witches. Some infamously bad ones that ruin the perception of us." Thea said, her voice steady, but a hint of bitterness crept in. "It's always the same. The stares, the whispers... like I carry some curse just because of where I was born. They see my skin, my markings, and assume the worst."

His next line of questioning brought her attention back to what she was here for, treatment. "Its not that bad. I don't think the creature's claws got too deep."

He gave her a genuinely sympathetic look, then gestured for her to get on the table so he could push the gurney off. And then again to see if she was ok with him removing the bandage or if she would while he gathered the materials and washed his hands for the umpteenth time, "You know, wookies probably feel the same a lot. Powerful, loyal, knowledgeable, in tune with their homeland, and also so foreign and intimidating to many organic species that sometimes people have even tried to label them as non-sentient. Not that you seem like a wookie. They don't speak basic very well. " he smiled, "But then, how well can you speak Shryiiwook."

If she let him or had removed it herself, he'd start to gently apply a bacta solution. There'd be a numbing agent in there as well, mostly just meant for very surface level wounds. He'd also, carefully, take a sample to insure he could check for any possible toxins or venoms before applying an anti-bacterial as well. The third arm helped with the process fairly seamlessly. "People need time to adjust to something new to them usually. Of course some of us kind of got a head start on the knowledge or openness to things."

Thea had gotten on to the table and took off the makeshift bandaging she had on her injury. "Wookies just have the intimidation factor and the ability to rip your arms off. Dathomiri witches are different, especially the Nightsister Clan. They are the dark magic users that manipulate and control your mind and raise the dead." She wasn't really paying attention as he sprayed the bacta and got started.

Ever since she encounted Anen, she was getting a weird feeling in the Force. She was sensing two presences from the doctor, and it was causing her to furrow her brows in slight confusion as she wondered why she was feeling this.

"From the perspective of just another human citizen, Dark and light are things jedi and sith say. Wookies can rip your arms off yeah, but so could a force user, or a particularly well made cyborg. Mind control is something many would think that jedi do, or Falleens some might even claim. But jedi are, to many, a known quantity. So are Falleens. I admit, the necromancy is a bit rarer." He answered as he tended to the wounds, he'd reach out to pull a more appropriate bandage for the wound nearer to them while an analysis was run on the sample, "My point is, being an outlier that's known to be capable of danger, is all it takes for people to get worried. But with time, many people grow to be fond of jedi when they used to see them as preachy warriors, many grow to be as loyal to the wookies as the wookies often can be to each other. But to get there, it takes time."

He stepped back and smiled as he finished with that and went to check the analysis on if she may have anything undetected, "I think You should be good. Of course you should keep cleaning it when possible. I wouldn't want to jump in any bogs or swamps either."

"You make it sound so easy, like time alone could change the way people see us." She let out a breath, shifting her weight to one side. "But time doesn't erase history, and it doesn't make people forget what they've been told to fear. Especially when that fear is deep-rooted. The only thing I can do is to try to not let it bother me." Thea looked down at her bandaged injury and then to Anen. "I knew it wasn't that bad, but that was still quick."

He held his hands open apologetically, "Maybe not alone. But it does make people forget, the jedi went from guardians to terrorists a long time ago didn't they? The sith went from monsters to myth probably a couple times. Wookies, again, were forgotten as people, then forgotten as beasts. To use a more personal example, I was raised to think most of the galaxy had no soul. That they were little more than especially intelligent animals. To not tell them that, simply because it would be inconvenient for everyone. But I changed. But if no one is given that chance, it's not easy for them to do so." he explained. Anen gave her a shrug, "But if it doesn't bother you. That helps too."

Then another smile at the speed of the process, "I've seen worse during training really. It's something that needs to be attended to quickly but the main concern for me was the possibility of infection or some kind of venom or poison. Technically, I have the equipment to heal you up completely. But it would likely leave you a bit more exhausted, and requires a lot of energy from a generator. I try to avoid having to use it for everything. That, and stepping into one can intimidate a lot of people.."

"Never thought I'd get such a philosophical conversation from a medical doctor fixing my wound." Thea let out a shoft chuckle at the strangeness of it. She listened as he told her he had the means to heal her completely but he tries to void using it as it consumes a lot of energy. "If its not required, then I don't mind not doing it. I'm fine with having it heal on its own time."

He laughed and then put on an extremely accurate elderly voice, "We doctors are actually philosophical masters. Unfortunately, nobody ever listens to us. They just want the stims and run." then let out another chuckle. Nodding once more about it not being necessary, "No no, you should be fine. I mostly use it for severe or life threatening injuries. Like a lost limb. Cybernetics aren't great when you do stuff like this." his third arm pulled itself back into his body, first becoming almost like a sack as the hastily made bones were removed, then being pulled back within almost like he was sucking in his stomach. Until it was back to normal.

"Besides you're a force user too right? Meditation should help a lot with recovery." he suggested. "If you do ever wanna argue about philosophy more though let me know...not that I'll be here next time. This was just a temporary drop. I move around a lot."

Is there anything specific about that? is it a species trait? I'm just curious as to manner." Thea asked. She figured the third arm thing was a species trait, but the two Force presence is an odd one for her.

He gave her a shrug on the issue of philosophy. He talked to himself quite a lot on the topic, but it was somewhat out of his own fear and circumstances. Then nodded at her question, "I'm a Vran. We have something called a Vo, it's an organ even those of us who aren't force sensitive have. Grants specific force powers, for most, the Shi, it's kinda like...boosting the whole body, sometimes they even have a telekinetic grip with it. In the case of those like me, we can use it to shapeshift. But since I've both got the Vo, and am an actual force sensitive, it's even easier." Anen explained smiling, then rapidly changed from himself, into looking nearly identical to her, "Downside though is, we're really easy to get spotted by other force users. And technically, we can lose it or hurt it."

"Vran? Not a species I've heard before. I didn't know there were other shape-changing species besides than Clawdites. Might have to read about it some day." Thea mused, eyes narrowing in curiosity. "So you have this organ that gives you Force-related powers? Fascinating. Does it affect how you connect with the Force itself, or is it more of a… tool that amplifies your abilities?"

"Few have! And few know!" he answered cheerily on the first two parts, "My people were about as isolated as the chiss, arguably worse actually. The chiss put a great deal of effort into learning from others. My people are great at biology and certain aspects of the force, but beyond that, we struggle technologically. And there's actually a wide range of shapeshifters, but most are rare...or possibly gone by now even. The shii'do or neti are also both shapeshifters!"

He thought a little harder about her question next however, "It makes it easier I think. Look at it kind of like...if you had a second jedi knight or jedi padawan with you, but one who only knew a few skills, and you could tell what to do the same way you could your own hand. You get a lot more used to the presence of the force and being able to sense it and work with it. But the organ itself can't do much beyond those specific functions, not without outside help. A regular Ven, my kind, can shapeshift a great deal. But give them actual sensitivity, and mass can be taken into account too, rather than just form. The issue is mostly that it's not really sensitive to the force in the way a feeling, thinking, being is, but it can apply the force. And be effected by it."

Thea's eyes narrowed thoughtfully as she listened, her lips quirking up slightly. "Huh. So it's like having a partner who's limited in what they can do but still pretty useful in their own way. But it's interesting that it's more like a tool? It can channel the Force, but it doesn't feel it the way we do. I guess it's kind of like how a droid can process a bunch of data without ever really understanding it." She tilted her head, her curiosity piqued. "You're saying that with Force sensitivity, you can actually manipulate the mass too? That could be a real game-changer."
