Just one big junkyard…

He narrowed his eyes at her. She arrogant and confident, but what gave him a bit of a scare was her confidence in her words. It seemed like they had worked before, or she knew herself that her words were true.

“You will see how they hold you back. Lack any trust in you. Tell you you’re not ready.”

Those words hit him hard. He had heard them before, yet it did make sense to him now. If he was this close to breaking from simply well-put words, then maybe Corvus knew more about him than he knew about himself. Maybe she even already suspected his feelings for her already. Or maybe this Sith did as well.

As she put a hand over their clasped ones, he felt the pressure of the force, and he held back a wince.

At the mention of the Sith as Vilair's destiny, he was repulsed. She had the nerve, to make assumptions that he wasn't ready. Then, a thought crossed his mind. What if he were to bag a Sith, and bring it back to his master? Oh, surely he would be commended and be able to take his training to the next level. Maybe Master Corvus could finally see him, for who he really was. Worthy. Then maybe she would love him back.

"I will never!"

With that, he used force pushed her away as they broke contact and he lunged back in case she changed her mind. Vilair was eager to prove his worth, to this Sith and most importantly his master. However, he could not see any possible way this would turn out pleasant for him should he try to challenge her.

"My destiny, is with the Jedi."

He put his hood up over his head and with that, he turned and began to walk away his mind buzzing with this dark-force encounter as he returned to the busy streets and blended in with the crowd. After what seemed like a few minutes of walking, he entered the Casino where he last saw his master, and spotted her off in the distance. His heart was twisted with the encounter with a Sith, however he must not tell his master.

Doing his best to muster a front, he approached her.

"Master. I have finished sweeping the area. The gang has been dealt with. There is nothing worth our interest left here..."

To err is human, to forgive divine. And I'm no god
She saw him put up the pretence of a fight. It was likely he still believed he was a Jedi. But she'd stood in his boots. She understood him in a way that most Jedi, and Sith for that matter, didn't.

Sooner or later he'd seek out the Dark-side. It was in his nature. Of course she could be wrong - but she doubted it.

So she watched him walk away and smiled. His Master was about to be asked lots of questions - and if the answers weren't word perfect? He'd be visiting Sith space sooner rather than later.

Corvus had concluded her business. The Hutt was being typically...well like a Hutt. Crime ran in their blood, but it was limited to local and low-level crime - if that was a plus in any way. And there had been no fresh extortion claims.

So she headed downstairs at the same time as her Padawan returned.

"Glad to hear it," she said. "I too have completed what I came here for. So, unless you've anything to add, we'll head back to the ship, yes?"
